I have two of these and I've been pleased with them. The size of them is discussed by other reviewers and this wasn't an issue for me. Note that there is a zipped compartment in the loose end of the roll in addition to the normal pockets, it holds a reasonable amount, one of my rolls has two fairly large open end spanners (1" AF and above) in there, so should give an idea of sizing. The elasticized loops are probably too loose for pens or pencils incidentally. I use the loops on mine to hold 1/4" drive extensions and they are a loose fit, so a pencil isn't going to stay put. The fabric is pretty hard wearing.Edit: I notice the price has gone up, these were under a fiver when I purchased them, still appear to be good value at £5.89, though can't quite work out why if you buy one they're £5.89 each, but if you buy two it's £16.07! Presumably a glitch on the page, but I'd have to say at two for £16, that's nearly double what I paid, and they start looking pricey, though still a good quality item.

To write a review about a tool roll...There aren't so many tool rolls to choose from when you've got a specific set of tools to carry. That I managed to fit my tools in says nothing about the product, I simply counted the pockets and thought 'that's the one'. When the tool roll came, the first thing I looked for was stitching, and though you're never going to get atomic accuracy, the stitches look strong, I'm not going to yank the pockets to tell you otherwise. The material is very good stuff, doesn't knock you out with a new product smell, which tells me that it's not going to evaporate fast :D ... and the material itself looks and feels like it's going to last a long time - unless you're gonna store a bunch of sharp objects in there.Price VS what you get, I'd say buy three! but you may not need so many :D ... it keeps my tools nice and organised, and my tools will probably get attacked by the rain before the toll roll is ready to give up. 20 years, tops?

The ideal roll for wood chisels because unlike most chisel rolls one cannot slip the handle ends in the pockets. The Stanley roll one can. This has 10 roomy pockets which, when full, stop the chisels sliding about. The material is robust, but obviously would be cut were one to put chisels in the wrong way. Yes it is bulky but I have other chisel rolls with 24 carving chisels - which are better still! Don't buy leather tool rolls! Leather absorbs moisture in damp conditions and releases it again in drier conditions. This released moisture can cause the steel to corrode, unless covered by a protective film. Unused tools safely stored away can after a year unexpectedly be found to have a film of corrosion/rust.The rolls are available from many outlets including Amazon who provide a rapid delivery service. It's appalling they lawfully evade paying corporate tax in this country on their profits.

Excellent size for carrying either a selection or all of one particular type. Keeps them all in once place, easy to find and access.I recently got an expensive set of sreqdrivers and wanted to keep them safe rather than in a toolbox where I can't find them. This did the job, I knew stanley was a good brand so trusted it to be good quality, it certainly feels like it and all the screwdrivers are now easy to find. There is a zip pocket which is great for any odd tools that don't fit in the pouch. As some have already said and should be aware of it is quite big so if you do roll it, it isn't a small roll. Just something to be aware of when putting your tools in it.Overall, good size, reasonably priced does the job it's meant to

This is a very well made, high quality tool roll.It could do with Velcro fasteners instead of the tie ribbon but that's nit-picking'When it says "pocket" in the description it means that there are pockets in the roll rather than it will fit your pocket. The middle image above should give you an idea of the size, that hammer is a full size item. **Tools not included.**The tool roll will protect your tools as well or better, no banging about, than a solid tool box.EDIT.I've just used this tool roll to store and carry a Lansky knife sharpening set. The hones are a perfect fit with the guide rods still attached, something that the Lansky box won't do. It will save a lot of time, not having to set the rods up before use.

Cheap but still of good quality, this now holds some of the tools that were floating about loose in my toolbox, making them both easier to find and less likely to be damaged. It is good value with just one weak point mentioned by other reviewers; the ties are stiff synthetic fabric and a decent cotton canvas would be a lot less trouble. Still it is certainly worth the purchase price and is a great deal better than others I have bought which cost more money.EDIT June 2021: The product has been improved over time; I bought another of these recently and the placement of the ties is better as well as the material they are made of. Maybe the manufacturer listens to customers!

After much investigation, I bought one of these tool rolls to hold my Knipex screwdriver collection. For an off the peg design, knew I would be in Compromise City and unfortunately there were two issues:1) the pockets are quite "baggy", so the screwdrivers kept slipping out2) the tie strings were too shortAnyway, for £7, got a local seamstress to subdivide each pocket with a line of stitching and replace tie-strings with longer.Future proofed as room for additional drivers if necessary.Pleased with end result.

This is a great tool organiser and feels very well made i.e. can withstand the rigours of sharp tools rustling around inside it. There is a zipped pocket on the left hand side which is handy for rolls of tape and smaller items that are too small for the pockets. The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is because it has tie ropes to hold it together when rolled up, a strip of velcro or even a few press stud fasteners would have been a better design feature in my opinion.

great solid tool roll I like the zip compartment which is very versatile.however! This tool roll has no handle to carry it so unless your putting it into another bag or you are using the parcel hook on a Swiss Army knife (I have done this in the past) it can be a little awkwardAll in all a great well made product from Stanley but if they were to re-make this with a handle I'd buy one again guaranteed and I'm sure they'd sell a lot more with the addition of a handle.

A very handy well made and cheap tool roll. Just the thing to put some large (Narex) mortise chisels in, so I don't leave them rolling around in the tool bag getting damaged, not to mention cutting my little dandies when plunging my hands in the bag without thinking, duh! My only concern is how Stanley can make this so cheaply. Ethics and tool buying, hmm, perhaps this review is not the place. Anyway, as a product, well made and fits some big chisels, enjoy.

A really good size for carrying a selection of tools (such as spanner sets, chisels, rasps an files or even knives) in a neat, compact form. Material seems quite strong but sharp-edged tools may eventually wear through with use over time. Material also feels somewhat water-resistant so may keep tools dry and corrosion free in damp conditions. A separate zipped compartment at one end of the roll of pockets is useful additional storage for other smaller items.

I was sceptical at first about this product. I wanted a bag for my cycling tools to make them easily accessible when needed, this fits the bill very well. I can fit all my tools in nicely, including a few that are a little awkward, plus the zipped pocket is useful for odds and ends that don't fit into the individual pockets. All in all this is just what I needed, and it will last well given it's made of robust material. Highly recommended.

A nicely made pocket roll. With 10 pockets and a separate zippered section.I have now been using this for over a year and it’s stood up well.I have been sensible, so things such as chisels do have an end cap to stop them piercing through, but its still solidly all in one piece, with no obvious signs of wear.Overall, a nicely made, good sized tool roll.I would happily buy again.I hope you found this review helpful.

I really do like this tool roll. It's well made, relitively cheap or competitively priced. There plenty of places for you tools sit in there & also there's a zipped apartment at the end for smaller items. One thing I would say, is that the way it's secured is ok by tying a knit but if they changed that to either velcro or something else that would able you to close and secure it quicker, I would've given it 5 stars.

I purchased this for my son who needed to take a handful of tools into college for practical work. Made of strong quality material there is ample space for a range of different tools along with a loop for a pen and pencil, a zipped pocket, and two ties to secure once rolled up. There was no size shown in the product description so for the information of any future buyers, once unrolled it measures - 64.5 x 38.5 cm.
