Overview: Absolutely brilliant bag. I bought it to keep all the car cleaning stuff in and to try and be a little bit more neat and organised. Regardless of the fact that I still have bits all, this bag is brilliant.Disclaimer: I don’t know what I’m doing, I really don’t! This is the first bag like this that I have reviewed and also in not even using it for tools! Hopefully if you don’t know what you’re doing either, then this review helps!First Impressions: Nice stiff bag and a thick material. Loads of pockets although I knew that already and a very big reason in buying it. Honestly, first impressions are great...good handles, size, zips etc.Design: This is a really versatile bag.I liked the fact that it had a zip and also that it had a lot of pockets outside. It can carry a fair amount of weight although you’ll forgive me if I haven’t tested it to destruction! The black and yellow design will either suit or not, but it’s nice and easy to see.Use: it’s a bag, open it and put stuff in or take stuff out!Longevity: The bag seems really nice and strong, with no real points of weakness. The zip is nice and robust and like I said, it really will carry plenty of weight. However, if it does fail in a short period then as always I will update this review.

I visited a well known hardware retailer to check out this item in advance of buying it online (I'm the guy killing the high street) and upon delivery, it's exactly as expected. The fabric is nice and thick, and the base is hard plastic, which is great if you're setting the bag down on dusty or wet surfaces. The pockets on the inside and out are a good size, but aren't designed to hold anything bulky or oversized; they're more for quick access to a torch, or regular use tools depending on the job at hand. There's loads of space inside, and the zip seems strong and secure. I won't be using this for work on an actual site, but it sure beats carrying around a Tesco 'bag for life' full of all my tools!A contractor visited my home yesterday to do some work I wasn't confident doing myself, and I was surprised to see that he had the same bag, and had been using it daily for around 8 months. He said loads of people on site used the same bag, and the built in name tag wallet actually comes in handy for this reason. All in all, a great item for home DIY, and seemingly very good for trade use as well!

At first I thought it might not be large enough to hold all my make-up but with a good shove, I managed to fit it all in - trowel and all! There's some nice tight pockets on the outside too, I use them to store all my "toys", although they do stick out of the top (some of them are quite large), if you put them in helmet side first, it's not hugely obvious that you're carrying a big bag of members. That said, I wouldn't walk down the High Street with it... again.I love the look of this bag too, so much so, I've called it after my sister - Barbara. Not that my sister looks like a bag, she doesn't but she has had almost as may tools in her and don't get me started on workmen's fingers!Material-wise,its tough and rugged, like my face after 30 years of using the sunbed, only my mouth is bigger.I can't recommend this bag enough; it looks good, it feels good, it's big and its so well made, it has me wetter than a paper towel in a Ko Samui hotel room, around Boxing Day 2004.Buy it, you'll love it!

Going from a tool box to a bag has made the world of difference. Previously had a dewalt box and the clips and size of the box annoyed me constantly. This bag allows me to take the tools I need for a job and quickly replace them if necessary. The base is a solid plastic which comes in handy as sharp tool have no chance of penetrating the surface, the bag has plenty of sleeves to put your tools in, however the sleeves could be slightly taller. The only downside is that the one side of the bag has elastic strapping to keep the tools secure instead of sleeves however that's not a massive issue.Overall for the price its definitely an item id buy again.

This is a great tool bag. It is made of a really good quality fabric that will withstand a lot of abuse and it has a solid waterproof base as well as a vast amount of pockets. Both the handle and the zip has that reassuringly robust feel and another great feature is that the mouth of the bag is lined with wire so that it will stay wide open when you want it to and not collapse in on itself. With the addition of the shoulder strap for hands free carrying, I think that this is probably the best tool bag I have brought and I would not hesitate buying again.

Stanley has a reputation to uphold so I knew the item wold be of a good quality and it is. slightly larger than another bag I have but the base makes it a better product in my opinion. The plastic base is a good idea but I would have preferred it to be a removable tray on the inside of a complete fabric bag. The weakness if there is one is the stitching securing the fabric to the plastic base when the bag is loaded to capacity. But like most items of this nature the practicality of it is very good the durability will have to be tested over time.

As a keen DIYer I've invested in a whole new tool kit and wanted a bag instead of a plastic case to put it all in. Its well made, sturdy zip, solid base and millions of pockets to put all your little bits in.Way more expensive in screwfix etc... Amazon as ever great with delivery and packaging.Would probably stand up to stresses from someone in the trade if it were to be used for that.Only thing I'd like to see is an external strap to secure a longer spirit level but you can only ask so much! Very happy with this purchase.

Used daily for my job (electrician) and is a fantasic bag. Before having transport i carried it to work and back on buses for an hour daily as well as on site. Only problem is that ive crammed all my tools in (quite a bit) to the point it doesnt close so its a bit ripped when carrying it over the shoulder. After 2 years use however. Will be buying another for my most used tools and continue to use the old one for less frequently used tools.

Stanley stuff is quite pricey, and is not always value for money. Got got a decent deal on this and it is good quality. Well made, pretty durable, good size. Not sure it would be big enough or have enough compartments for a professional tradesman, but for a pretty useless DIYer like me - some of the compartments a bit small to keep anything practical in - but all in all, decent buy. Keeps what i need in one place, feels like it will last.

If you're like me, and your tools are everywhere - this bag is fantastic. It fits all of my most commonly used tools in here and so when I need to use something, I just pull out the whole bag.The bag is very sturdy and currently mine weighs 18kg with tools and shows so no signs of breaking! The only improvement I'd want, is to have sections in the larger section to sort my tools better as I'm forever rummaging around now!

Solid construction. Fairly light but tough all the same - solid base helps sturdiness. Useful carrying configurations. Much bigger than expected - holds all your primary "will do for most jobs" tools easily. Only downside is I expected more pockets on inside, so some stuff has to rattle around when you'd like it stored to be close at hand more immediately. Overall a good buy - all the quality you would expect from Stanley.

Had quite a few off these bags over the years there quite a decent bag more for power tools than hand tools because the only fault off these bags are they fold on them selves not problem if it’s full but if you just have for hand tools the bag will keep folding on its self they all do it other than that great for the money and strong

Purchased for Husband who had his stolen from his van - the only thing he left in it but they broke in. He will be delighted when I give it to him - holding it back for Christmas as I intend to fill it with the hand tools that went with the old one.I would happily recommend this they are hard wearing and withstand quite a bit.

Good sturdy tool bag far better then what I expected, originally I wanted the open top basket but got this because the price was so good, glad I did go for this as the zip top is great and has a lot of space for tools and bits you need when your DIY’in... would be great for professional use I suspect very strong.

For me, (and the reason I chose it) one of the best features of this bag is that most of the inside is a light yellow colour - making it easier to find items in the bag. (Although the base is black.) Most bags seem to have completely black interiors which makes rummaging around for something more difficult.
