Bought for crafting and general things around the house. The two heat choices are invaluable as some things will melt with the highest heat setting. I made some artificial wreaths using a polystyrene wreath and it melted with the heat on high. The lower heat setting was perfect. Once the glue has set it is secure. The stand isn't perfect so I rest the glue gun on a heatproof craft mat. A metal baking tray would work too, use the underneath side so you can still cook on the proper side and make sure you've cleaned all the glue off. You need to push the glue sticks in quite firmly and it's helpful to have something to break the wispy bits of glue you get with all glue guns. A cocktail stick is perfect, but don't let it touch the glue gun as it will obviously stick. Finally BE CAREFUL! The glue is VERY hot and takes a while to cool, so keep your fingers well out the way. I'd have liked a longer cable, but an extension lead means I can craft away from a plug socket. But, a great item and perfect for so many projects. I don't know what I'd without it. Mine are clear glue sticks, so the reference to multicoloured is a bit confusing.

I make regular use of my glue gun for costume (cosplay) making, so therefore find myself working with a wide variety of materials including fabric, metal, foam and canvas, and have found these glue sticks to be suitable for all tasks so far.The sticks are 12mm in diameter, and it is recommended that you wait six minutes for the glue gun to warm up before use, although I have found that they work just fine within about half that time. The glue is non toxic and pretty much odourless, so is generally safer to use than super glue and other strong adhesives, and once it has cooled it is also very simple to peel off excess glue with a knife in order to tidy up your 'weld'.Naturally if you get a decent glob of the stuff on your bare skin it burns like a you-know-what,so exercise caution at all times!

The glue sticks were bought for using in my brand-new Stanley Heavy Duty Glue Gun. These were the recommended glue sticks and have not disappointed and do the job properly and stick incredibly well. Having said that, I managed to get a box of 100 unbranded glue sticks for another model (Bostik) for a remarkably cheap price. These were also very good and caused no problems with compatibility or with the gun. If I need more glue sticks I'll probably be looking at some that are cheaper per unit as 24 glue sticks won't last long and may prove quite costly with the amount of projects I have lined up!

Glue works as advertised. No worries at all. Holds ok. As usual hot glue - don't expect forever lasting super strong results. Does the job though. Example? Click setting to medium on the gun and glue wood and other sensitive materials. Set to high and go mad on metal. Here are some crazy uses - some draft around keyhole - apply glue, draft from window - set to medium, glue it until you get permanent fix, running out of ideas for Christmas decorations - set to medium and glue some snowflakes on the window. All above although bit crazy - tried and works.

Bought these in conjunction with the Stanley Heavy-Duty Glue Gun and I absolutely can't fault them. The sticks melt incredibly well in the gun and provide a good thick adhesive that works with loads of different types of material. The glue doesn't have any discernible odour which is a bonus. The glue holds extremely well and haven't had any failures in anything I've used it for yet. I've also found that the glue is easy to clear up and any excess can be easily removed. I will definitely be buying more of these when I run out

Does what it says it does and does it very well! The glue is great for bonding plastic, cloth, wood and metal together. I purchased these for the Stanley STA0GR25 Heavy-Duty Glue Gun (80 Watt). You'll be pleased to know that over the past 6 years of purchasing these sticks the only thing that has changed is the design of the bag and not by much!Note: The glue sticks do yellow over time if you plan on keeping them long-term.

Although I have no used the lower temperature setting, these work well on high temperature setting from the glue gun. Have adhered some sisal rope for homemade cat furniture (see photo), scrabble cork coasters, small bits of house DIY and general purpose usage for small projects. No issues so far with the glue managing to hold onto the sisal rope for dear life when savaged by the cats!

These are working fantastic for me. I use them with my Stanley heavy duty glue gun. The glue holds well. I have made 4 projects already using this glue and they came up brilliant. You can find the projects on You Tube ( Sugar & Butter DIY Crafts) to see the different surfaces i used this glue on. From plastic , fabric canvas etc . I would recommend.

I use these in conjunction with the Stanley glue gun and as expected they work well together. You'd hope that as they're from the same country. As for sticking ability, yes they stick things including stupid distracted human fingers. Seriously, it's hot glue, not prit stick so use caution and get an adult to supervise if your as immature as me.

Bought thes to go with the dual temp Stanley gun, worked very well. Everything I stuck down stayed stuck, so it does what it was supposed to - can't argue with that. Went through quite a few and quickly, but this was maybe more because of the size of the job I was doing and not a shortcoming in the glue sticks.

Always bought these glue sticks as always good, the only problem I had was how many sticks I was buying, as had asked how many, as description says pack of 6 , people were coming back with different answers. So everyone knows it is 1 pack with 24 sticks inside. The same as I had bought couple of years ago.

My daughter has been using these glue sticks with the glue gun for some time for gcse and a'level studies.Excellent products.Careful though as can burn the skin from melted glue and sticks to anything it touches so make sure you have newspaper or something down underneath it.

Great glue sticks. I'm an electrician and I mainly use them to stick grommet strip to in metal consumer units and enteries in to metal trunking and enclosures. sets in seconds and keeps the grommet strip in place whilst cables are pulled through.

They get hot and sticky and glue things together what more could you ask from a glue stick they work well in the gun and are good value for money I'm guessing they are made by Stanley so therefore they will work well in a Stanley gun

These work well with the Stanley Heavy Duty Glue Gun. It lasts pretty well but can easily be removed with a hairdryer if needed. Only fault is that it drys pretty quickly leaving little time to configure what ever you are glueing.
