I had to break up a sofa and got one of these to help. For those of you who dont know, under the upholstery, sofas are basically cheap materials like plywood panels, 2x3 timber, a few screws and about a thousand long staples, somehow all screwed and tacked together in a way that forms a Monocoque structure, with such insane integral strength, that it makes a boat frame seem shoddy by comparison.Once you get the twenty screws out, the damn thing is still as solid as a Hawker Hurricane chassis, and the joints are so tight that there is no way to get a pry bar between the pieces of wood to get leverage.Enter the Fubar. Basically the big jaw allows you to grip the timber spans, and twist them away from the long staple joints. Once there is a gap you can use the prying end to clear the last distance. The only downside of this tool is that the teeth have a tendency to chew up the wood, so if you plan on reusing it, be very careful. This said, its strong, well made, ergonomic, and its a hammer, jaws and pry bar all built into one neat package. Put it this way, I actually gave up trying to break up the sofa frame using just a pry bar and then came back with this. Not only was it an immediate success, but I also now have the perfect tool for the zombie apocalypse (although it IS quite heavy, so be warned)

It's hard to believe that there could be such a thing as a cult hammer, but the Fubar 2 is it. It makes destroying things - big strong things made out of masonry or wood - fast, fun, easy, and relatively safe. And it looks like a prop from Escape From New York or an Evil Dead film - what's not to like? It's surprisingly usable as a nail driving hammer, thanks to its excellent balance, but what it is really designed to do is destroy things . Which it does, superbly. The Fubar is a sort of super wrecking bar and demolition hammer - you can attack wood or masonry with axe blows, embedding the head, and then exert enormous leverage on whatever you just hit. Oh, and it has a nailer puller, a hammer head, and set of jaws that provide another way of tearing things apart with torsion. That's the secret of the Foobar - the way it combines the bash and the tear to get maximum synergy. BASH! and that lethal head is deeply embedded in whatever it is you're destroying; then it's t-e-a-r and instead of wasting effort pulling the head out, you've used the Foobar's wonderfully ergonomic leverage to make a bloody big hole in something.

If I go on a random repair/build job this is one of the first tool in the bag. It is a hammer and a good height to, it rips, lifts and pulls. If it was just a hammer it would still be in my bag, now let me just add some simple info, the grip is super beefy and will survive many years. I don't often use gloves so the grip compound works for casual work. The metal: "and this is a biggy" Well it is super strong. You can quote all day long about tempering and heat treating but the proof is in the pudding. This tool has been smashed, bashed and leavered and it won't break. The second tool in my bag is Robogrip, USA made. I don't need the STANLEY STA155099 but it's probably going to happen.

I love using this tool - what more can you want? A tool that bangs (hammer) a tool that lifts (crowbar) and with jaws for 'suitable' grabbing and ripping use. I used it to remove a wall lining. It has enough weight to it to thrust the crowbar end under material (be careful with your aiming!) and when said material has been removed revealing tacks/nails that held the material by rotating the tool it becomes a hammer and BANG the nails are levelled! The gripping end works well across timbers, maybe floorboards, but secretly it is also a clever rounded lever similarto the crowbar end - so 2 crowbars in one :-)

I bought this product on the spur of the moment as I had just moved house and needed a "do it all" product to help with the rennovations. This is one of the sturdiest and most useful tools I have ever owned. The wrench function is strong and perfectly designed for most of those jobs around the home, the crowbar function was great for ripping apart the old funiture I needed to get rid of and it even got used as a rudimentary hammer for getting some hooks in the wall! I would HIGHLY reccommend this product for having around the home. Sturdy, safe and really useful.

Great tool for small light jobs, iv been recently helping in a shop refurbishments and been using the Fubar to remove wooden cladding and old floor boards. Ultimately I had to put this down and go for the longer crow bar which made the job easier due to better leverage. I fortunately didnt buy this but if i did I would be let down for this job. For other jobs im sure if will be very useful. Its solid, well made, easy to use and grasp. The price difference between this one and the next size up is considerable and in my opinion not justifiable.

All hammers should be made like this.I wish that more tool and knife designers would make things out of one piece of metal. It cant go wrong and why not have a pry bar at the end of the handle ?Bargain. Beautiful design.Thank you for not covering it in paint, Stanley - which is completely pointless as it gets chipped to bits on day one. (Like another Fubar I bought)

Multi use is amazing. Primarily used it so far to strip large pallets and made quick work. I wanted a Multi use tool so it i had more value for money instead of a one use thing and not get the general use out of it. Very sturdy tool, sits nice in your hand not much weight to maintain control and not loosely swung around.

Brilliant tool, though I actually wish it was a yard long and not hammer sized.Dismembered my old shed, side gate and a few pallets with ease. The open jaw could use being 1/4" wider but none the less did pretty much everything I asked of it. So much easier to wield than my usual method of a crow bar and hammer

this product i had previously and this works for me when im tightening divi bars as i can get a good lock also good for demolition 3"X2" their is 2 down side its heavey on the arm and no carrying system/belt loops that ive found so i might have too make one

Carry this with me as a trucker using curtainside trailers. Helps with pallets and stuck side curtains and bent metal. Does the job and strong and durable for the past two years.

Using it more than I thought. Needed to wreck an old shed, this tool was spot on. But have used it so many times since. Its a good weight without been too heavy.

I was given this as a present. Who could fail to fall for it's charms? Versatile in use and well designed. Excellent piece of kit

7.7.2017

Quite expensive but being in the building trade i do tend to go to this tool pretty often rather than a hammer

If you want a great piece of demolition kit this is a must have. Rips through all sorts with no bother.
