I purchased this particular level as it was described as having a pencil and pencil holder. As the product is supplied by Stanley, Amazon suggested to contact them which I did. Blunt response of we don't have the parts to send out so I need to return the item and also pencil is not included. This clearly is stated in the listing as both being included. The reason I chose this one was because of this feature otherwise I would have gone for the standard box level allowing me to measure from 8 sides.Overall it is a Stanley FatMax product I have many of their products as I have always found them to be of good quality,

This is an excellent level. It's very accurate and I used it for mounting an entire shelving system. With the units in place, only one of them was 1mm out and that was from my drilling rather than the level itself. It's really great.The only reason I'm dropping a star is that the distance markings from the centre are only 2mm rather than 1mm (or better still 0.5mm) and it would really benefit from having the distance markings go all the way to the edge of the level (perhaps the metal can be extended to the edge and the plastic stops adapted to fit around that.If they made a newer version with the bits I'd like added, I would buy it again!

Overall I'm quite impressed with this spirit level. The construction is good and the item has a quality heavy feel to it. The level is angled along one edge to make it easier to mark and cut items with a pencil and knife. I have used the level for about a month to mark and cut a lot of plasterboard and so far its not showing any signs of wear along the cutting edge.-1 star as the rubber end has fallen out. As the level sits on these rubber feet it cannot be used without it. Ill get round to gluing it back in one day.

Using this for dry-lining and cutting plasterboard sheets. Very good.Not only is the Amazon description incorrect, but even the packaging it came in shows that it can be used for measuring. The actual level is plain yellow with no graduations.It's fairly sturdy, although I wouldn't recommend buying online, as it must be impossible to deliver without it being bent: mine had a slight bend, which I didn't notice for a few days... :(

Good quality, sturdy. Usual Stanley quality.As other reviews have pointed out it doesn't have the measuring scale shown on the Amazon picture and the Stanley packaging that it comes in, but I guessed that would be the case before I ordered it. If I'm doing work that needs a level I would use a single length-measuring device and that would be a good quality tape.

I bought this to help with a DIY kitchen installation. The delivery was prompt and the item well packed. This level has one edge beveled which is handy for drawing lines on walls etc. It seems robust but I'm not sure if it would survive rough handling. The beveled edge inevitably makes it slightly weaker than a "standard" I-beam.All round though worth the price.

Required a longer level than my torpedo level as a mate borrowed mine and as usual didn’t hand it back , arrived early and very pleased,nice and sturdy for d I y etc . Only gripe is the centimetre measure starts in the middle why ? Should like any ruler start at one end and go to the other ,but I can get over it :)

- Arrived in good condition- Have used for a number of jobs already and commend the design- Seems to be hard wearing, have dropped on concrete a couple of times and hasn't broken [yet]- Pencil / chalk holder not straight and overall pretty useless [don't really buy a level for this anyway]

The level is great, just the right size for small/medium DIY tasks, robust and importantly for me it has the measuring scale on the top so no juggling required. It was advertised as coming with a pencil but non supplied and although trivial loses a star for this for not being as described.

I didn't particularly need a spirit level, but did need a large steel straight edge as a guide when cutting thick cardboard with a Stanley knife. This does the job. Lightweight but very rigid and just the right length. Just what I needed.

Great reliable level made by Stanley. Vials are very clear and measurements on the top are very handy. Great hand grip and pencil holder. It is also a bright colour which makes it very noticeable if left outside or in the dark..

I bought this for work as my old one had seen its day.It is of good quality and good value for money.Would recommend to anyone.

I have bad luck with this level. But it's okay because it's tough. Been dropped more times than I can remember but doin' fine
