I was offered these free for review purposes, and I have to say that I'm loving them already. I'll definitely want to buy more when these run out - but I guess I'll have to look elsewhere for them, since Amazon won't ship them to Northern Ireland (apart from this set for me to review) - perhaps they think the ends of them are too pointy for the ignorant Irish to be allowed to handle them, or something :(That gripe aside, I do think these are great. Not so much if you're into that weird and inexplicable 'colouring book' craze, though - the ink will bleed through the pages - but for other craft-y stuff where you want a bit of fine detail, these are brilliant (I've recently been trying my hand at painting mandalas and mottos on smooth rocks,

These are an excellent series of pens, with a good range of colours (with an exception for white) and the flexibility of a dual tip (fine = 0.5 mm, ultrafine = 3.0 mm, allowing both precision and also the ability to fill in where necessary. These pens would be particularly useful for children and adults indulging in arts and crafts, given the range of colours, allowing you to decorate pots or ceramics, stones, pebbles of shells permanently. The ink dries quite quickly so you don’t have issues with smearing, and also doesn’t wipe off easily afterwards. The colours are vibrant and long lasting, and due to the latter, and because of the fine nib, can be used on such things as plant labels,

This is a really nice set of double ended pens - fine on one end and ultra fine on the other end. The range of colours is spot on although I’d be tempered with the 36 pen set giving an even wider ranger of colours (for about double the price). These are permanent pens and not suitable for materials like regular thickness paper as the pen will bleed through. They might not also be suitable for younger children because of this. Out 7 year old is having a great time with them and using them to draw on materials such as plastics where they don’t come off at all easily. Very nice set.

Decent quality pens. The thin side is not overly thin and the fat side is not overly fat; therefore making them suitable for a variety of daily applications. I've used them on paper, card, plastic water bottles and plastic plant labels. The darker colours are more visible on plastic but they all dry fairly quickly and don't rub off.There's a good selection of colours and I like that they've added two different nib sizes to each pen, although it's not easy to tell which end is which, until you've taken the cap off.I think they are good value for what you get.

As a basic sets of colour pens for kids craft work these are fine. The colours are something I might use myself for some work but the real problem is the double end idea ... it's a gimmick. A first glance that's a nice idea until you realise that it means you could end up with one end out of ink and the other still in use. Which of course means that you will have a pot full of pens where all the colours and widths you want most of no longer work but are only still there because they are attached to colours and widths that you don't use.

This is the ultimate pack of permanent pens. These are along the lines of Sharpies but double ended with one thicker end and one finer end which I much prefer and these write on any surface, from CD's, to glass, the plastic, rocks etc... it's really endless what you can use these for... except colouring books and these bleed through paper unlike lighter non-permanent pens.Fantastic price for so many pens, £14 for 18 pens I think is great and myself and my children are enjoying using these for arts and crafts. Recommended!

Staedtler pens are reliable and consistently good quality. This set of 18 pens are permanent ink suited to a variety of surfaces, less so paper. The ink tends to be too strong for paper, bleeding through. However, these are great for creativity for all kinds of purposes and applications.Each pen has a thick end and a fine liner end. Again, really practical for different creative approaches.The selection of 18 colours gives a good range of colour options to choose from.

The fine nib does create a clear, crisp line while the thicker nib allows for broader colouring in. The colour range is great and they are bright and are showing no signs of drying out. I have a 2 and a 4 year old who have really put these felt tips to the test and they are holding their own very well. They are a lot more expensive than I would usually buy, but I think the quality is there and they are lasting much longer.

These double ended pens are fantastic quality - as I would expect from Staedtler. The innovative design gives two different tips, one fine and one ultra fine on the same pen! Colours are rich and vibrant and so far I've had no issues writing with them on a variety of surfaces such as paper, CD's, DVD's & Blu-ray discs, and plastic bottles.A great selection of very handy pens.

I love these pens. Permanent markers are always useful and it is great to have such a wide selection of colours.I love the two ends they have so that you can write thinner or thicker.The colours are bright and vivid and do stay put.They also come neatly packaged in a good strong packet so are easy to store as well.These will last me years.

These double ended pens are bright and colourful with a fine nib one end and an ultra fine nib at the other. They are perfect for detailed colouring or lettering. They are excellent quality as I have come to expect from Staedtler. The plastic wallet keeps them altogether and in order.

A bit on the pricey side for felt tips for me, but you definitely get what you pay for with these lovely double ended (thick and fine) pens. A beautiful range of colours they have a lovely feel and you get great results from them.
