I did extensive reviews for a TV by comparing specs, price, year of manufacture. My TV sits under the stairs in my lounge and is therefore limited to a 43 inch maximum screenDelivery was quick. Setup was very easy and self explanatory. Cable slots are not easy to get to - underneath a shelf on the rear of tv. The legs are more sturdy than other flimsy TV models but are slightly too big for my table and look like a robot with short legs.. I'll be purchasing a central, swivel stand instead as i need to angle the TV on the shelf. Really miss not being able to read a hard copy manual...if that's Sony's way of saving paper then why send a thick booklet in multi languages just to show you how to fix up on the wall.Picture is great, sound is coming from a Bose lifestyle system and was always great anyway. App options I wont be using too much but got irritated by the amount of pops and options about recommendations based on viewing experiences and whether you were willing to share data with Sony, Google and all. No No No !! Default all of that stuff to OFF please Sony...it feels like big brother is watching you.

I've had this unit for a couple of weeks....THE GOOD: Excellent picture quality, good sound quality, good remote and looks stylish. THE BAD: The instructions are next to useless. It was difficult to connect to my audio system. Some of the connections are in awkward positions making them difficult to locate with the TV in place.THE UNFORGIVABLE: I bought a Sony WH-CH700N Bluetooth headset to go with this TV. The headphones aren't compatible with it because the TV Bluetooth doesn't support A2DP. It's unbelievable that on such an expensive piece of kit that Sony can't integrate the correct soft/firmware to work with their own products - WHY?. Now I need to spend more money on a little bluetooth transmitter that will dangle from my TV.COME ON SONY - YOU'RE BETTER THAN THIS - ISSUE A SOFTWARE OR FIRMWARE UPDATE TO CORRECT THIS ISSUE. THE RATING: This could so easily have been a 5* rating had the Bluetooth worked as expected. Buyer beware if a Bluetooth headset is important to you.

Bought the TV a couple of weeks ago and I have been really pleased with it.The picture quality is very good and I have been very pleasantly surprised with the sound quality, as I had a sound bar on my previous TV but thought ide try to live with the new TV without using it and after a day or two getting used to the new set up I don't miss the sound bar. The only problem I have found, is the remote which is a new all singing all dancing one which can replace your sky remote etc, so you only need to use one remote, is great while it works. It needed re programing after one day, then lasted four days before stopping working. So you end up ditching the new remote, and going back to using the sky remote, which does everything anyway. Hope this review helps and I would recommend the TV if your thinking of upgrading from a HD TV

Very nervous about buying a TV online, so did plenty of research and sure I made the right choice in the price range. Can't fault it at all apart from a couple of small but still niggly points (so if these things are not an issue to you, then 100% perfect TV!): Three of the HDMI sockets are on the side and in my opinion they are too close together. For example if I plug in my Firestick, I can't use the one below, so it is potentially a waste of one HDMI socket (see image). The sound is slightly tinny at higher volumes - but not noticable and excellent with normal viewing.Love the design of the stand and easy to fit, but legs are a touch lightweight so move about on my wooden unit a little to easily.Again, no real big deal and I am just nit-picking on an otherwise fantastic TV.

Bought this to upgrade our existing first generation 4K TV (made by another leading brand) to a bigger screen and HDR. With the lockdown it was difficult to get the chance to experience a viewing so we had to take a punt based on reviews. I'm glad I made this choice. Picture definition is perfect and to be expected for a 4K, however the impressive dynamic range and black depth raises the viewing experience manifold. There was no ghosting either. It was easy to set up out of the box, both technically and on startup. The TV is connected to a sound bar so we can't comment on sound quality per se. Moreover, all the smart functions have yet to be explored, but seems to be user friendly.

Easy enough to carry out the initial set up but I’m having problems understanding which compatible USB HDD memory stick to buy and the guidance is very unclear. The first one I purchased, made by Sony, hasn’t worked so am now wasting money and missing programmes I want to record and which cannot be accessed by You View, which in itself is not as useful as I thought as many programmes not available. Most of the apps require subscriptions too which I’ve always refused to be drawn in to. I slightly regret giving up my 10 year old Sony TV and DVD Recorder which worked perfectly well but getting older I needed a larger screen. It’s still a good TV though if only I could easily record.

Had this TV around a month. Picture quality is amazing. Easy to set up, add apps and change between media hardware. The voice remote is good and the kids love it, but it has stopped working a couple of times. Taking the batteries out did not resolve and nor did resetting google assistant again. It seems to fix itself after about a week. Sound from TV is good, but I use Sonos beam. Only disappointment was not being able to easily cast from an iPhone to the TV. Only tried to do this in the last 24 hours and haven’t checked online. Overall very pleased with the product!

Bought this TV 2 weeks ago , very pleased so far, nice quality throughout, very good picture, and looks nice in our lounge , 2 minor problems so far ,the instructions are basic and not very clear , also l think some sort of cover between the stand feet would be a good improvement to cover up the massive voltage reduction box which looks really out of place on our glass stand. l have made one my self and coloured it to match, it now looks spot on ! a great TV , that now looks the part .

Bought this 43” TV to upgrade our Sony 32” TV in our dining room where people go to see a second TV programme (Main Room has Sony 49” out of the box, add the feet, plug in, and set up was complete in just a few minutes. CPU just like an iPad to select TV, Netflix, Google, Films, Photos, etc. Use it with a Virgin box which I switch on after pressing TV on the screen. All works seamlessly. Great size and quality of image. Looks sleek. Sound much better too than the 32”.

Overall I am very impressed, the picture quality is pretty stunning, implementation of Android OS well thought out, very responsive and the remote is a joy to use. Only downsides : the onboard audio is very, very poor, perhaps not surprising as there's no space for decent on board speakers. Also it doesn't seem to be possible to connect Bluetooth headphones? I've tried other BT devices successfully, but not headphones (tried 4 different pairs!)

This is a great product with stunning picture quality and a wide range of good features which I would really enjoy exploring if Sony provided a decent logical user guide instead of the pathetic Web based help. This was purchased as an upgrade to a 40" Panasonic TV which did have a very good user guide as their products do. Sony should follow the Panasonic example and provide a decent guide which the product deserves, as do the customers.

I bought the TV 2 weeks ago.The only real issue was that a completely black TV, came with silver feet that were not adjustable in any way. This is fine if you stand it parrallel on a TV stand. When swivelling slightly one of the feet will stick out.A central stand would be a better option, and can't think why you would want silver feet on a black TV.Set up was quite straight forward however i did struggle to get sound bar to connect.

Only had this TV for a few days and delighted with the picture quality. We were warned about the sound so have purchased a Sony sound bar which is OK.Very disappointed that there is no Reminder feature as on our old Sony Bravia. Surely this could be added in a software update. Also did not realise that you need a USB if you wish to record programmes for viewing later. However overall very satisfied.

Had it a month and can’t fault it. Easy set up, good picture with vibrant colours. Remote comfortable in the hand, well balanced and responsive. Only issue was getting Sony soundbar to work with it, after some faffing with leads and asking our son, it worked flawlessly! User error, not poor quality product. We’d bought this to replace a month old Samsung which was rubbish, hence half the price.

We upgraded to a Smart tv and chose this Sony 43" model after reading other reviews. Very easy to set up and link to Sky and Netflix. We also bought a compact Sony sound bar which has really improved the quality and depth of the sound. The tv sound on its own is ok but I definitely recommend a sound bar. Unfortunately, the Dolby Atmos enabled soundbars are all far too big!
