I've been trying to find a set of in ear headphones that would control my iPhone 4S, and these work flawlessly. I've previously owned the other Sony headphones that are designed just for iPhones rather than smartphones in general, and while they worked, they did a bad job of replicating Apple's 1 button/volume button. With those, I'd often double tap the button to skip, but one of the presses would register as volume up or down instead. With these ones, the volume is separate from the button, so that can't happen. You get a single button on the inline remote that controls the tracks and calls in the normal way, and the volume is adjusted with a small dial. It can be a little tricky to precisely adjust the volume,

I bought these headphones as a replacement for a more expensive set i accidently cut in half. In fact I have had many sets of these headphones but not had much luck in keeping them.This set i immediately thought felt lighter and much cheaper than the pair for £30.00 on the Sony site. However they do allow me to make and recieve calls 'hands-free' enabling me to get on with whatever i'm doing. The volume isn't quite enough if you are walking alongside traffic and trying to have a conversation. In the car however they are fine.I wouldn't recommend for listening to music as they are very 'tinny' and have quite a lot of interference buit as a cheap pair for your smartphone they are adequate.

Good value for money and sound quality as you would expect from Sony. Works very well with my Nexus 4 to include the volume control and in-built microphone. I would recommend these headphones for those on a budget that don't wish to compromise on the quality.

Only one negative aspect: the volume is set from a wheel on the edge of the remote control, which makes it look cheap... On the other hand, the microphone is good quality!
