I absolutely love these lights! I am a runner and haven't really found a hi-vis jacket that I like to wear at night so I thought of buying some led lights. I use the silva trail runner head lamp so these were the obvious choice. They seemed a little expensive at the time but in my eyes worth every penny.I tend to run in shorts and a t-shirt all the time and I simply hook the red light on the rear of my short elastic. Press the centre once for continuous red light or twice for flashing. I use the red on flashing. My runs usually take me off road at night and the white light will just about light the trail upto a couple of metres ahead again attached to the elastic on the front of my shorts.

I do a lot of walking at night and where i live there are no street lights, or even paths in places. So being seen by passing cars is important. I carry a torch or a head torch but i wanted something that i could clip onto a rucksack or even my coat that could flash and therefore eek out battery life. I had been using a red LED rear cycle light, which although bright was cumbersome and seemed to fall off a easily.I took a punt on these as they looked like they were small and would hang at the right angle (90 degrees from my coat etc). These are great, they are small (about the diameter of a 50 pence coin and just over 1cm thick), and are bright enough for you to be spotted- they have three LEDs behind the coloured outer ring.

Got these for someone who is a keen runner, and gets up in the dark early hours to start his run. Someone told him he looked like a Christmas Tree with all his flashing lights, but I'd rather he looked like a Christmas Tree than roadkill. I would highly recommend these lights as they are a life-saver.

Use in my rucksack for SAR road searching - good quality and reliable - just wish the back had a better way to attach it to the pack - a buckle or loop much better than something you slip into a strap ... As it could slip off as well - but so far it has stayed attached!

I bought these lights because they were recommended in the Sunday Times In Gear section. Although I've not had much necessity to use them through the summer months, I'm sure they'll be excellent in the winter. They're small but powerful and robust.
