Had this about a week and initial thoughts are mixed. The unit itself: Out the box it looks really good, doesn’t look or feel cheap and at this price it shouldn’t. Instructions are really limited so prepare to have to just figure it out. Creating a Sigma account and syncing it up with clunky and awkward, using the app on the phone everything was in German, couldn’t easily see an option to change language or country. Boxes follow a fairly standard approach though so was able to muddle my way through. The difficulty is then logging in on the unit, rather than being able to sync it via Bluetooth and log in from the app you have to connect to WiFi and log in again which is tedious at best with the keyboard. You can’t type quickly like you’re on a small phone and have to make very deliberate actions when typing. Out of the box there was a system and map update which wasn’t unexpected, what was an issue was that whilst it has 6gb built in memory it wouldn’t actually update the firmware or maps till I put an sd card and set that as the default storage. Thankfully I had a spare but if you don’t you will need to add one to the basket! The screen is a decent size and a reasonable resolution, you can make out the map and any stats you have displayed at a glance well. No issues with glare or using with polarised sunglasses so far.Software and features: out of the supported third party services I use strava (Apple Watch) and syncing up to that was relatively easy barring the annoying keyboard issues. Syncing to strava was pretty straight forward and quick, within a few minutes of returning home and connecting to WiFi I could sync the ride data. It can also display segments on the u it but I haven’t had a chance to try this as I have turned off strava syncing. The issue is that I can HR data from the watch and if I use both the sigma and my watch it reads this as 2 people and can’t merge the data. The mapping of my routes so far has been great, accuracy and boot up time is phenomenal compared to previous bike gps units I’ve used. Was a bit of a mare to set up the sport profile with my data and bike info but once done seems fine and setting custom auto laps is really handy. I have mine set for 1 mile intervals and it’s nice to see how I’m keeping pace overall and not just the avg speed. In the box you also get the “butler” which is really handy to mount an action cam to!Overall I think the unit is pretty decent, the UI could be improved. Not sure if it’s the software or hardware that’s limiting the keyboard. It doesn’t meet my expectations and requirements for syncing with strava as I have my watch which gives HR data and I can’t justify investing in a whole other ecosystem with HR monitors etc at this time so I’ll stick with Apple on that side for now. However if I didn’t have that I think going all in with the accessories for the additional data points could be well worth it. As a stand-alone unit for general use on the bike it’s pretty good. It takes a little concentration to use it as a nav as the resolution isn’t huge but then it’s not a phone. And I’d rather have this mounted on my bars to risk dropping etc than my mobile.

I ordered the ROX to help with off road route finding and help with my fitness training. My first impressions of the ROX were that this was one quality product, both from the way it was packaged and from the solid feel of the computer unit. The ROX came with 3 bike mounts. A solid mount that fitted well on my MTB’s oversized carbon bars (shims were provided for other size bars etc) and positioned the computer just in front of my stem. It looked very professional and was a perfect position to be viewed when sitting on the saddle. The other mounts were simpler but still effective designs that clamped via zip ties to either the bar or the stem.I fitted one to my 130mm road bike stem and the computer fitted snugly and looked great. As a mountain biker I was concerned that the mounts would not be up to the rough and tumble of off-road riding and the computer would slip on its mount or be unreadable due to vibration. This was completely unfounded. I have now ridden 350km off road and the computer has remained perfectly positioned and held rigidly secure. The weather on these rides was at times rather wet. Me, the bike and the computer got soaked and completely covered in mud. This has had no effect on the ROX’s performance.Functionality of the computer is excellent. The screen initially looked a bit simplistic when compared with some phone apps but you immediately discover once on the bike the level of detail and sharp resolution of the screen is spot on . It gives clear and precise information at a glance, allowing you to keep your eyes on the trail.Set up was simple and intuitive .The ROX is already set up to link with both Strava and Komoot. I have used strava for years and the link between the ROX and my Strava account was flawless. Downloading data quickly and effortlessly as soon as my phone and the ROX linked up via a WIFI network.I had not used Kamoot before but seeing this function on the ROX I decided to give this a go. Wow, I’d been missing out. Using Kamoot I was able to plan off road adventures using the apps maps and even pick up routes recommended by others. Once I’d made or selected a route I could wirelessly download these to the ROX and follow the clear map based instructions and enjoy a new ride. I particularly liked that when I chose to I parted from the route and the ROX would find me a new way to get back on course .The maps the ROX uses are clear, you can choose a scale of your liking and the ROX automatically zooms in when you approach a junction. it’s a very clear and intuitive system. As well as viewing your route you can look at your ride stats and even just how severe the up coming hill or descent is going to be. Fabulous!I would wholeheartedly recommend this product.

I've had this device for a few weeks now, and used in bright sunshine through to torrential downpour such is our British weather so thought I'd take the time to add a review.I already have Garmin Fenix 5X watch that I use for my running, mountain biking and cycling so was unsure if the investment in a dedicated bike unit was worthwhile. In addition moving to a different ecosystem from Garmin was a concern for me. Thankfully after using this device the decision to use the Sigma Sport ROX 12.0 was a good one.Setup:Within the box there are several mounts which made fitting to my mountain bike and road bike extremely easy, the device didn't take long fully charge for my eagerly anticipated first ride which was a bonus, initial setup was easy enough although the instructions could have been clearer; WiFi connection was really simple and I didn’t have to connect to my PC. I did complete the setup so no real issues other than it took me longer than I'd expected.Pairing with Strava for my results was very simple too so I can still have a single source of training with the use of partner apps on my Garmin. In use:Very simple to power on and start the training session, large screen size so no problems reviewing the map and performance data easily during my rides without stopping. For my initial rides I used both my Garmin and this to compare and the session data seemed consistent and no major deviations so I was happy the accuracy was good enough for me.Plenty of in ride data to use during my training sessions and the GPS received a good signal at all times, even in densely wooded areas this seemed to cope well, possibly better than my Garmin. The map was clear, auto zoom at junctions and with the touch screen zoom at any point I found this super useful, the amount of time saved not having to keep checking my phone was a real bonus. The amount of routes shown and tracking worked perfect and I feel like I've been missing out in this area and questioned myself as to why I hadn't bought a long time ago.It also held up during heavy rain so no issues with the water resistance, in addition the touch screen could still be viewed easily and no issues swiping to review my data or zoom with water on the screen.Post ride from walking in the house the data was synchronised wireless in under a minute and available on my phone which was great. The level of data available both during the ride and to review post ride is comprehensive and had everything I needed to review my session.I've used this device every day and really enjoy using it (which is important for me as it's not just statistics and maps I want). I'm 100% pleased I decided to buy and would definitely recommend it as a great cycling companion.

Lets start with the packaging and unboxing of the product. The packaging is very nicely presented and looks and feels a quality, everything you would expect for the price point. After taking the outer layer of packaging off the box, the interior package splits into 2. One thing to note is to ensure the box is the right way up as when you pull the two halves apart, the cycle computer is sitting lose and will fall out and hit the floor if the box is up side down.Installation of the product was pretty easy, the instructions are minimal as the cycle computer only required an allen key to fit. All in all it took me about 15 minutes to unbox and fit onto the bike. There are multiple positioning options and inserts for different size tubes on the bike frame. After leaving the cycle computer on charge overnight, it was now ready to put to some use.The initial setup of the cycle computer took some time. There was some confusion on how to register on Sigma Cloud. There is an option to do this on the cycle computer but as the screen is small, it can be difficult to hit the correct letters on the keyboard for those with chunky fingers. That being said the screen was very clear and very responsive to touch. I ended up registering an account using my laptop and signing into Sigma Cloud on the device once the account was configured. I also found the Sigma cloud website a bit difficult to navigate, however managed to register an account.I use the cycle computer to record my activity on the bike and set myself training goals. There are nice functions which allow to you set a workout by distance/time amongst other options. I set myself a goal of 30 minutes and set off on my ride. I was pleasantly surprised to see the cycle computer pauses automatically when stopped. The map was pretty accurate and followed by direction efficiently. When cycling I use polarised sun glasses and noticed that I could hardly see the screen with these on, that was a slight issue when trying to watch the map or check the stats. After finishing my ride, I got home and opened the Sigma Link app on my phone to see if my workout would sync. This feature worked really well and my workout had sync'd. All stats were displayed really clearly on the app with lots of detail to drill into.In summary this is a great cycle computer which feels extremely well made and is packed full on functions. I would say this is on the expensive side of the market but provides so many features and so much detail, for those wanting a well made feature packed cycle computer, this is the one to have.

I've come from owning a Garmin 1000, 520 and wahoo. This is better than the Garmin units and marignally better than the Wahoo. But in a different way.If you are heavily invested in the Garmin ecosystem, moving away to another brand without a dedicated smartphone app will seem a stretch. Same for Wahoo. The things is, once you get past the fiddly setup process, you simply don't need an app, everything you need is on the device. It seamlessly syncs with Strava, and allows you to view segments and routes. It also syncs well with Kamoot. The battery life is great easily getting through long days in the saddle but it could use a battery saving mode which you can select when starting a session. Its selling point is its navigation ability. It comes preloaded with streetmaps, and allows you to create a route on the device, simply by wiping your finger across the screen. You can also plan routes in the same way you would with a Sat Nav, using an address or POI. Try by turn and route presence is fantastic and works for cycling whereas other brands don't do so well. When in a sessions, the screen is easy to read, even in sunlight and it is big enough to have multiple metrics on the screen at the same time. It's surprisingly easy to live with, to the point you don't really think about it after a ride or two...and that's the best compliment I can give. It just works and makes your life easier. If you're looking for a top of the range (think garmin 1030 territory) cycling computer which provides flawless navigation on long unfamiliar rides, give this a shot.

Amazing road bike gadget!Due to my love for road biking my family decided to get me the SIGMA ROX 12.0 as a birthday present, and I love it! In the past I have often struggled with getting lost on routes or have been a little annoyed at the amount of stops I had to do to read my map, but this is now over! I find that the SIGMA ROX 12.0 is the perfect gadget for any road biker who struggles with reading maps. Before any ride all I have to do now is input my chosen route and then the SIGMA ROX 12.0 will simply navigate me and keep me on track even if I accidentally go off route. The product has shown me new routes and paths that I never before considered taking, so always great fun for exploring and having a change of scenery.I also highly rate the information and statistics that the SIGMA ROX 12.0 gives you post ride, so I can now easily tell if I am improving my speed or stamina. I am very happy with this product as it makes my life a lot easier in terms of map reading and I can’t imagine biking without it anymore.

Very versatile device that records the tours very precisely. A lot is self-explanatory and the Rox 12 can be operated like a smartphone. What is interesting to me is the possibility of being able to set up the display according to my needs. Deduction due to the battery, which obviously only lasts a little more than 12 hours and the poorer readability if you want to save electricity. Otherwise, unconditional purchase recommendation for ambitious cyclists who also like to plan long tours.

Excellent Product, the screen is large (although it could have been even more given the width of the edges) we can display 6 lines distinctly to compare to the 4 lines of the garmin 820, on the other hand the connectivity is not so complete but it remains sufficient, the creation of routes in real time and the ghost mode are really a big plus. A very interesting alternative to the Garmin models.

This is a great bit of kit.Whenever I’ve headed out for a long ride, I’ve always had to stop to check maps. With this little gadget it’s perfect, enter an address or drop a pin on a location and off you go.Very user friendly and easy to set up and link with Strava. It is really easy to attach to your bike and is very sturdy whilst riding.Really good purchase

So, so easy to use! Effortless link to Strava, Map drawing feature is awesome, touch screen and button operation, so no need to mess around with gloves or difficult when out. Default workouts for indoor training...purchased the set version with HR...option to share routes via Dropbox and various options...crash alert :(Great product, excellent value for money....

What an excellent service of Bike Inn, I recommend this company 100% to buy, very fast in the office and the product as is to the publication, I have barely been able to turn it on and try some things, I am very happy, I hope to try it on my bike and I already I will be sharing my experience, for now I am very comfortable ..

28.11.2019

Device works well, only the user manual could be a bit more extensive, now you have to sort everything out yourself. Some things like the extra mini SD card is not described at all. The Rox 12 works stably and the (somewhat small) screen is easy to read both during the day and at night. Starting up takes a fairly long time.

10.2.2020

Excellent product, I get there fast, the excellent sales service, sigma rox 12.0, original, it looks at the naked eye of good quality, I have tried it little, but so far it has everything necessary, nothing to envy the garmin, I will continue testing it. Very satisfied with the purchase.

8.9.2018

Good product. Firmware still not very polished as it gives some errors. I miss some features that have very old ROX 10.0. Improved connectivity with external applications. It does not come prepared to install applications or external maps.

4.10.2019

The possibility to operate it with different transmitters is perfect, because I operate three wheels for different purposes (road, cross, MTB). The coupling of the transmitter works perfectly.
