I have been using this brush for several weeks now and it's quickly turning into one of my favourite brushes in my rather large collection. I have used it with variety of liquid foundations, both as an application and buffing brush, and have found it to work amazingly with all of them.When I use it to apply foundation, I find it works the best if I dot the foundation onto my face and use the brush to blend it into the skin. Long smoothing strokes work the best for achieving flawless application. It also allows for building thin layers until desired coverage is reached. I even use it for applying concealer under the eyes and nose when I'm in a rush and it works well for this too.As a buffingbrush it's great for thinner waterbased foundations that you can apply with fingers first and then smooth over with the brush for seamless effect.The brush is densely packed and a nice size to allow for quick application. I can compare it to the famous Shiseido foundation brush which I love too, but due to the smaller head which makes for slower and fussier application and I generally use it for special occasions.The Sigma brush is very soft and non-irritating on my sensitive skin. I'm quite fussy about foundation brushes as the coarser ones tend to turn my skin red and just feel unpleasant after awhile. This brush is a dream to use and quite calming.For several years now my HG foundation brush has been the Real Techniques Expert Face one. For that reason I put the a Sigma brush through lots of tests and I would go as far as say it is this bit better than the RT one overall. I feel the smoothing long strokes that this brush requires work better with the face shape and bone structure and allow you to work the foubdation right into the skin in a very even and streak- free way. The end effect is flawless skin, that if you have matched your foundation correctly to your skin, should look like your skin but much much better. Also due to the densely packed hairs and bluntness of the brush, it allows me to push the minimum amount of foundation I need to cover up imperfections well into the skin for a much longer lasting finish.

This is my first Amazon review but I am so pleased I thought I would share.For years I had been applying my foundation using my hands (like rubbing on a lotion), until I started watching Youtube videos.I first tried the Real Techniques stippling and expert face brushes. I found neither of them to be good for a flawless/easy finish.After seeing lots of gurus using the Sigma Flat Top Kabuki, I searched online and saw it was a smiliar price to Real Techniques, and as it seemed to have a larger surface area, I thought I'd give it a whirl.This is by far the best tool ever purchased for foundation.It does not soak up foundation or get it caked into the bristles.It cleans almost to the good as newcolour.Foundation glides onto the face which no streaking.You can lightly stipple and swirl.Bristles are sooo soft, yet hardwearing (as they do not fall out).At first I was unsure if this was the real deal as it seemed different to what I had seen online and then I real that Sigma have a trusted sellers list on their site and these guys were on there so I was very happy.Thank you so much for delivering such a great product.I highly recommend this brush and I will be investing in a set next time :)

I bought this brush over a year ago, but have started using it more recently. It does a great job at applying your foundation, I prefer this design over the usual, flatter foundation brushes as I feel it does a better job but as it's quite large you'll need a small brush for around the nose. I've also been using some make up sponges, but found they absorb too much product compared to using a brush like this.I find it difficult to get completely clean, even with special make up brush cleaner and scrubbing device, however I'm not sure if this more to do with the foundation I use rather than the brush! It gets quite stiff after just a few uses so it needs cleaning regularly. However, most disappointingly,and the reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is that it sheds hair! It's only on one side of the brush at the moment, so it appears to be maybe an issue with the glue, but it is rather annoying and puts me off repurchasing another one which is a real shame - lots of other positive reviews so it could just be an issue with the batch when I ordered.

I am in my mid forties & have been wearing make up for many years. I love make up and wear it every day. However my skin isn't perfect as I still suffer a bit if acne and redness. I've tried many different sponges & brushes over the years but none of them even come close to this. This brush is truly amazing whether you are applying liquid foundation, bb cream or tinted moisturiser it gives you the most amazing finish. Flawless and the nearest you will ever come to an air brushed look.If you want a light coverage apply in strokes & circular motions. If you want a fuller coverage stipple it on & blend outward in circular motion. It's also good for touch ups through the day if you feel your face is getting shiny etc,just go over your face (you don't need any foundation on your brush) in light circular motions. I liked it so much I bought another so I can keep one in my handbag & for when my other one has been washed as it takes a while to dry. I've bought one for my daughter too as it's so good.

Would give it a five start but not sure if its real i useually can tell, though it has all the markings where they should be. For reference a real sigma brush should have sigma engraved on the metal part of the brush. But not on the metal rings by the handle, it should Also say sigma and a light white colour that has a Hint of changing colour. After it should say flat kabuki TM and F80 on the other side of the brush it should say made in china. This is correct sigma do use China to manifacture. On the metal part on the reverse to where you previously saw sigma engraved should be numbers, and underneath on the ring should be another set of Numbers. I havent checked to see if the serial Number is correct u can always email sigma,and give the brush Numbers to check. But Either way the brush has not had hairs fall although real sigma do a bit anyway once washed. The brissle texture is very soft. I used it and it does def give the right even flawless finísh, so Either way im happy.

Yes OMG! Why didn't I bought this earlier? I had MAC brushes before, they were ok. I had used up a few real techniques expert face brush before, I really liked them. But then I finally got this brush and just WOW! I got sensitive combination skin and I use Double Wear liquid foundation from Estée Lauder every day and Sheer glow from Nars sometimes. My foundation just looks better applied with this brush, maybe it's just me, but this works for me vey well. I find the flat top very easy to use. It is very dense but still feels gentle on my skin, the head is a bit bigger/wider then for example RT expert face brush making it quicker to cover my whole face and the finish is flawless.I alway get compliments on my complexion and I don't have the best skin.( Because it is sensitive and gets red if I use anything irritating.) I'm thinking to get an other one for back up. I LOVE this brush!! I do recommend it, if you can afford it, try it.

I love this brush! I like my makeup to be quite heavy and 'flawless' so I apply quite a lot of foundation. This blends it beautifully and erases any lines! I do find it a little hard to use around the nose, but I do tend to apply thicker concealer on my nose with my ring finger anyway!I feel that it doesn't pick up much product, so I'm not wasting any of my foundation. And also that the bristles don't become 'claggy'. I must admit, bad MUA here, I haven't washed mine properly (water/soap) after using, but I'm super happy that it doesn't dry out and go hard when re applying foundation. Hopefully, it'll be just as good after washing!I would recommend- I've tried about 7 other brushes,and this is by far my favourite!Edit - bought this brush back in 2014 and now (late 2018) this is still my go to foundation brush!

I'd heard a lot of people rave about this brush and was hesitant about paying quite a bit for a single brush but I'm so glad I went for it! It's really simple to use (unlike a beauty blender or other sponge where you have to learn what technique works best) and it really does make my foundation look flawless. I've used this with a number of foundations and it's been great for all. I've got oily skin and it works well at getting the foundation nicely buffed in, keeping my skin matte for longer too. It washes really well, with no shedding whatsoever. I'm all for getting a good bargain but this is definitely one item worth treating yourself to.

Had seen a lot of reviews from people using the flat kabuki brush, i even went to MAC and got a trial of it. however, i thought they were very expensive so didnt bother. but after a while i decided to seek out other brands and stumbled upon SIGMA. saw alot of reviews on youtube, came to amazon and was positively surprised with the price. i immediately bought it, it arrived on time very well packaged and i received an eyeliner brush free. my makeup is now flawless. the price is definitely cheaper than MAC's.All in all, it is one of my best purchases in the world of makeup.

Sigma F80 kabuki brush has such good reviews from all the make up artists that it was a must buy for me. It's a little expensive but it's so darn worth it....The brush doesn't eat up foundation like other brushes or blenders. And it gives the most flawless finish so easily. I don't like heavy coverage yet it gives me the finish that I desire. It's so much easier to build up as well if I am going to a party. and the best part is you don't have to be a pro to use it correctly, the brush is so amazing that it works anyways... I can go on and on and on.... lol.Love it.

Absolutely in love with this brush. I've been watching make-up tutorials on youtube for a good few years now and almost everyone raves about it. I've tried cheaper alternatives but as soon as I brought the real thing I could never go back. The bristles are incredibly soft and the handle is a lovely design/size. Cleaning and drying time is pretty great too. Since buying my own i've re-ordered another for my sister for christmas. Would definitely recommend!

So pleased. Best brush I have. Looks expensive with a beautiful holographic logo and super soft. Even though you would think this brush would only cover the large areas of your face you can get into the smaller areas very easily. It would appear that you use more foundation as it seems to disappear into the bristles but in actual fact you don't use anymore than you normally would. Very happy highly recommended. Definitely plan to buy other sigma brushes

I've never liked applying foundation with brushes as they've always left streaks or been uneven in coverage. I've until recently used a beauty blender. This brush is amazing though! Easy to use and helps build great coverage with very minimal brush strokes. I do always spray fixing spray onto my face then go over with the beauty blender and that gets rid of any left of lines. I don't know how I've managed to do my makeup for so long without this brush!

This brush lived up to it's name. I wanted to treat myself when I bought this brush. I was looking for a good kabuki brush to apply a full coverage of foundation and this brush didn't disappoint me. It blends and works the foundation into the skin wherever you want it. Now I want to buy some more Sigma brushes. Ideal for use with cream, liquid or powder foundations for a medium to full coverage.

my absolute favourite make up tool ever! everyone needs one of these brushes in their lives!packaging was disappointing. it came wrapped like I had bought it from a pound shop, but I was too excited to use it so I didn't care.its dense and spreads foundation like a dream! I've washed mine quite a few times now and hasn't lost one hair. my best purchase in makeup by far.
