I already had the non-wireless version of this speedo/computer on my touring bike (vintage Dawes Galaxy) for the past two years and really liked it, so when I bought a mountain bike I wanted a similar one. It's a no-nonsense, small, lightweight and accurate speedometer/odometer that is easy to install and easy to remove when the bike is parked up.I decided to buy the wireless version mainly because it would eliminate any problems with cabling down the suspension forks.Apart from the sender unit this looks and works identically to the wired unit on my Galaxy. The tiny head unit simply twists off the mount for quick removal when leaving the bike parked. The sender is relatively big (it houses a second coin battery as well as the transmitter)but it fits very solidly on the fork just above the brake caliper and under the brake pipe. It might even help to protect the brake pipe from twigs etc. I used both the included rubber O-ring and tie wraps for a belt-and-braces approach, and it hasn't moved at all in the 50+ miles of mainly technical trail riding that I've ridden with it so far.One minor niggle I've found is that I have to make sure the unit has 'woken up' when I start to ride - the connection goes to sleep and needs to be woken up by pressing the button, presumably to save the batteries. A symbol on the screen indicates when the connection is live.Another niggle is that the trip readings (ride time, average speed etc) can reset themselves if you stop, or the unit thinks you have stopped, for more than a few minutes, which has happened when I have had to push and/or carry the bike very slowly over unrideable terrain!I've given a 5* rating for accuracy even though I haven't actually tested it because, instead of using one of the presets, the device allows you to set a very accurate figure for the length of one wheel rotation, which I did after measuring it by rolling along a tape measure with my full weight on the bike, thus allowing for tyre deformation. Given that all the measurements are based on wheel rotations and time (apart from calories, which are pure conjecture and I've ignored), I assume therefore that if my measurement was accurate then all the computed measurements will be equally accurate.I can't confirm the battery life yet, but I can say that the non-wireless unit on my Galaxy is over two years old and still on its original battery, so the omens are good.In short, highly recommended.

I bought this in March 2009, for my commute to work. Since then I've done about 5,000 miles using it, and it has only just packed up. In the end the wire from the computer unit snapped - I think more from wear and tear, as I take the computer off the bike each time I get off the bike. I was disappointed that it broke, but I have used it in all weathers, including many huge downpours / fog / misty rain / snow etc.Fitting it was very simple, and it was durable too, even though the fitting is just via a heavy duty rubber ring that stretches around the handlebars. The sensor mounting to the forks seemed flimsy, but I just cobbled something together with garden wire, and that did the trick. Again,I think that relied on the rubber ring again, but it didn't seem very sturdy.Operation of the computer itself was dead easy, and I liked the fact it is impossible to accidentally reset your stats - you have to keep your finger on the top-right button for about 10 seconds to wipe your stats, though it always keeps a track of total time and total miles, which is great. You use the big button at the front to step through the different functions. No problems using it while cycling.Overall, a great computer which I'm only having to replace due to wear and tear.

Good display with all tbe functions you are likely to need, but has poor instructions and is a phaff to set up initially. That said, the computer clips securely to the handlebar mounting unit, and works well once set up, and you only need to do that once. Both the mounting unit and the wheel senser use rubber bands to secure them, which seemed a bit flimsy, so I used small zip ties instead, after which things were rock solid. The computer functioned perfect for just under 1 year/2000 miles, having gone through some real downpours without apparent Ill effect, but then inexplicably packed up. I'm in two minds whether to get another one to replace it - it was great when it worked, but the relatively short life worries me.

Had used a Sigma trip computer many years ago, and this one didn't disappoint. I didn't want anything fancy because I have my Garmin watch for that, so no point spending a fortune to double up on the tech that I already have. All I wanted was a speedo, trip distance, trip time and clock. perfect for the job, and very good value. My only complaint is that the wheel speed programming is around 2% optimistic compared to my Garmin (which I trust to be spot on). For me it wasn't a problem because I just kept adjusting downwards until the Sigma and Garmin matched.

This is a well made and designed product, attaching it is easy and it performs all I need in a bike computer.A couple of minor issues, there is nothing provided to attach the wire to the frame, the instructions suggest winding it around the frame. This makes the wire a little loose. Also you can only reset one function at a time not all functions at once for each trip, this is a bit of pain. However overall I am pleased and the product is of a higher quality than some of the equivalent products.

Had this product for about 4 months now. Really like it, its recorded over 1500 miles with no hiccups at all.No screws needed to install. It comes with a set of strong rubber bands to hold it in place. I was sceptical at first but I must say they have been flawless.Only downside was that I found it a nightmare to set up. But thats only a minor issue as it only needs to be done once (and im not the best at working out little gadgets like this)5 stars

ProsMeasures as expectedSeems solidConsMagnetic clip isnt very goodO-ring instead of cable ties is a poor choiceCan be used with PC if extra software purchasedReally difficult to install with a 7 year old asking why repeatedly. This may have affected this reviewWouldn't buy again as it's just not as good as I would want and in the day of GPS and smartphones it's not going to give the same information

Bought to replace a very cheap but good cycle computer that broke when it was dropped, decided to buy a decent one.Not disappointed, it is much slimmer than my old one, screen is still a good size and all functions are easily accessed.Setup was a doddle too, liked the fact the wheel size is selectable as the wheel size rather than circumference.

This product could not be easier to fix to ones bicycle. Although looking a bit flimsy the rubber bands hold the bits very tightly. The orientation can be altered through 90 degs. Setting up was easy, just measure circumference of wheel and program in. Easy to remove from bike when parking up, all in all, excellent product.

I liked the price and found it easy to set up and use. Loads of information on display for the money and easy to read on the move. Set up your favoured display and plenty of info available without pressing buttons on the move, just concentrate on your peddling and the hazards around you!

Nice simple, inexpensive bike computer which is good quality with larger than average clear display. Very easy to install and set up and it works really well. I'll definitely order another for my other bike. Good product with all the functions i need and looks great!

The Sigma brand for me is no longer unknown. It is an excellent product, for its design quality and reliability. I strongly recommend it to those looking for a sports computer. I opted for BC 9.16 ATS WIRELESS.

Superb bit of kit. Clear, precise and an easy installation. Forgot to take it off when washing my bike and still works brilliant. Swapped bikes as well and setup swap is easy as well for swapping.

It counts kilometers with very good tact, all the announced features, a lot of quality. Visibility is great, even against the sun. I strongly recommend, excellent quality / price ratio.
