My mother aged 84 already has one. My husband has recently had his leg in plaster (now resolved) and I have had a virus recently leaving me very unsteady and feared falling in our walk in shower. Can't believe what a difference this has made. It is easy to dry down. The feet have strong sturdy feet for stability. Hight adjustment also was a bonus. Metal connections also covered with a plastic sleeve so eliminates rust happening. Can't recommend this product enough. 5* quality. Thank you.

Having ruptured my achilles tendon I'm facing 8 weeks of being non weight bearing and in a cast. This stool helps in numerous ways in the bathroom especially for kneeling with my "bad" knee in the shower. It's extremely comfortable as a seat but very hard on the knee after a while hence the (perhaps unfair) "Ave" score. The design and sturdy construction mean I always feel confident that it will support me without slipping. I couldn't imagine getting through the coming weeks without it!

Have been using this for 5 weeks and will need it for some time. Have been able to safely shower following major knee surgery, easy to assemble, seat shape and width aids pushing up to stand. I feel stable using this chair. The non slip feet are good, however, water does slightly affect this, leaning to reach taps encourages chair to move slightly - this is not a design fault or a reason not to buy. light and easy to move in/out of the shower as required. Overall great value for money.

Sturdy seat, easy assembly, it’s ideal having a backrest for elderly parents. Can push it right up against wall under shower, so shower can slowly trickle water down your back while you lather your body, use shower head to rinse. Remove black leg protectors and Click legs into place, buttons are a bit stiff but u need to hear them click into place, then click backrest into place. Also useful as a bathroom chair, rubber on base of legs to avoid slipping. Ideal for elderly parents.

The chair fits well in the shower, simple set up. I have a bath mat under it as my shower is long and I'm super paranoid about slipping (me or the chair). Easy grip handles and the back rest is a saver when fatigue/muscle weakness is getting the better of me. The only improvement I can think of is an area between legs so its easier to clean intimate areas without having to move as much, but other than that no problems up to now at all. Already recommended to friends.

Really pleased ( bought for a family member following knee surgery.) firstly, it was light and came in a handled box which was really helpful. Once home, it assembles easily, the legs and back of the chair just click into place. It was used in the shower and also up to the sink, no problems. Keeping hold of it for another family member who is due surgery shortly. As the legs are adjustable it is easy to change the height for someone else to use. Money well spent!

Having recently undergone major surgery I found myself experiencing some dizziness which resulted in me collapsing in the shower. This chair is very sturdy and does not move when occupied due to its very robust rubber feet. I am 16.5 stones and it takes my weight perfectly. We had previously bought a stool for the purpose but the feet just splayed out under my weight. This is just perfect for restoring ones confidence when showering.

Bought this chair for my Dad's bathroom. Sturdy, easy to assemble and comfortable. Adjustable height legs means you can position it to exactly the right height for the individual. Too big to go in a standard shower cubicle with the door closed, but we were aware of that before purchasing - it will stand in the cubicle, but not then room enough to close the door whilst you are in a seated position.Nevertheless, a very good buy.

Changed from a fixed shower seat to this portable product as my partner has limited mobility. It took a short time to find the best way to use and position the seat but it is much better than the old fixed seat. The product is sturdy and fairly light and is easily manoeuvred in and around our offset quadrant shower. It is also handy to hold on to when leaving the shower. All in all an excellent addition to our mobility aids.

We bought this seat for mom's walk in shower and she is very happy with it because it's light weight and allows her to wash safely and with ease, I manged to assemble it from a flat pack within a few minuets, the hight adjusts the same way as a walking stick. We found Argos to be the cheapest for this item and we were able to pick one up from stock without having to order it and wait a week or two as quoted at other stores.

My husband has just had a knee replacement and was discharged home with just crutches and handle round the toilet. It was impossible to stand at the sink and shave and to stand and wash in the shower. This stool is sturdy but light enough to carry about. It has integral handles in the seat to push up and is a decent seat size. It has been used twice a day everyday for the past three weeks and we are very pleased with it.

Although my shower is a little on small size for the shower seat, I don't mind that it just fits in and no more as it gives me a great sense of security and support. I was surprised that it was so easy to assemble, I did it myself and just delighted with result, this from a pensioner with arthritic hands! Can't praise this product highly enough, it lived up to the good reviews I read prior to purchase. Many thanks

This item was bought for a disabled friend who was unable to purchase for himself. I obtained several similar details from other sources but I advised him to consider the Argos one.I also told him to seek advice from his professional carer. She also advised him to go for the Argos product,it is perfect size, lightweight, excellent back support, and met all his requirements. As I said"Perfect for the disabled".

All round this stool was well made and sturdy which is great except, the legs are splayed / angled out which gives an excellent solid feeling seat but takes a lot of floor space. I bought this for my 87 year old mum who found that it was not practical to use in her standard size shower cubicle, in a wet room or large cubicle it would be great but not in this instance. It's a shame s it's a good bit of kit.

Really pleased with this purchase. Much sturdier than a similar looking shower chair I had previously purchased from elsewhere. This one has a cross frame under the seat for added strength.A good height (which is adjustable), this stool is used in a double shower cubicle, I'm not sure how it would work in a bath as described. It's a shame that Argos don't offer VAT relief on their mobility products.
