Having read numerous reports on Google regarding Y Frame Discounts, I am compelled to add this to my review. Being Shimano it’s going to last forever unless you lend it out like a fool and it never came back - lesson learnt ! BUT my worry is about some of the comments left on the “Google” review page which are obviously fake .... here is how I rate Y Frame and continue to use them (even at 23:11 - I’m still up and buying bike parts and ONLY from REPUTABLE suppliers who have always come through and can’t help enough either by email or telephone. This is what I’ve posted on the “Google” search and posting - it’s deliberately tarnishing this company’s reputation :I have dealt with Y Frame Discountsnow for a number of years and I have NEVER had a single instance where what I’ve needed has been incorrectly supplied or anything has been faulty. I therefore categorically refuse to see why anyone can rate this company on their service, delivery or parts. I am speechless !!If I have a question, I am guaranteed a reply within the hour - not many companies can do that eh ??I am lost for words when one ”customer” has stated that Y frame discounts send out “used parts” in his review ! It’s pure fiction !! I will stick my neck out and say that many of these “so called reviews” are written maliciously and are done so for financial gain, it’s NOT a true reflection on the company.I have had nothing but BRILLIANT customer service, backed up by excellent product knowledge of I do have a query before clicking to buy a component.I live almost 100 miles away from the company and have no ties whatsoever so my comments are purely based on MY personal experience. I am shocked how people write malicious comments and obviously don’t buy from Y Frame (you can tell by the comments that they don’t know what they are doing and asking for so not real cyclists, just people hell bent (for financial gain or other devious reasons) to muddy the reputation of a perfectly good company.I think this should be outlawed so the reputation of “quality companies” isn’t harmed by nameless individuals too scared to come forward and explain themselves - they just copy and paste revolting comments from other sites and reviews anonymously and wreck businesses.I for one will continue to patronise Y Frame Discounts today (yes - almost midnight now and I need some odds and ends to get the MTB out after the winter! I also know for a FACT that my order will be dealt with ASAP and delivered as fast as they can mail the package out.I implore you to ignore the internet “Trolls” and support a worthwhile bike component supplier while we still have passionate bike enthusiasts as your local bike shops are closing down daily !I’ve had my say, I hope you give them a try, you won’t be disappointed - trust me !!! (I bet you will, like me, continue using Y Frame into the future - they know what they are doing, their team are very knowledgeable and delivery is as fast as Royal Mail can get to you - and you never have to send anything back as it’s always right FIRST TIME - EVERY TIME !

Nice-enough tool which I thought I'd need for replacing a chain ring. It did the job OK - hence 4 stars, however it is very short - and you only actually use it to keep the back-bolts still whilst you open/close via the allen keys at the front of the chain ring. The shortness of the chain-ring-key means that you don't actually have a great deal of purchase on the bolts, and whenever it slips off, (which it does easily), you strip the skin off your hand against the sharp teeth.I've looked around for a nicer version of this tool - as I can see it would be and is useful, however I've not found one. I'd suggest if you buy one of these - put your hand in a sturdy leather gardening glove before using this tool,as you'll thank me once its slipped a couple of times, (which it inevitably will). Those chain-ring teeth are B*****y sharp, especially on the old ring - which is where you'll be using a fairly strong force to get off the old bolts which will be tightly locked on. When/if the spanner slips - which it easily does because the spanner is annoyingly short and awkward to hold in place - you'll cut a chunk out of your knuckles as I did...In the end, after nursing my knuckles, I proceeded to remove the remaining bolts without bothering with this tool - and they came out OK. The tool was helpful in getting the bolts back in - but the makers of this tool could have done much better if they'd made it a bit longer, and with a handle you can hold without it being right next to the teeth of the chain ring...
