I bought these because I live in an area that gets a lot of rain. My daily commute is 17km each way and your feet can get pretty soggy during that time if there's a really heavy downpour. Even with overshoes things can get wet when there's a lot of spray coming back up from the road. The shoes arrived a week ago and they fit well and are comfortable. I haven't had the opportunity to try them out in really bad conditions yet. Although it rains a lot here, it never gets really cold. Zero celsius is usually as low as it goes, so the extra insulation on these shoes isn't really needed here. If I were going further than the usually 17km to work then heat might be a problem. But then again,

I am new to SPDs after riding with flat peddles for decades, I decided on the MW7s based firstly on the fact they are Goretex secondly the style as my first SPD shoes I will 100 percent recommend these for fit and functionality I live in Manchester UK that is known as a wet city and these have more than kept me dry.
