I have used these for several years. The first 2 pairs (F&R) performed well and so I replaced them with another 2 pairs. The front set this go around started to squeal horribly after about 6 months of regular riding. I gently sanded the pads as there was ~75% pad remaining. Unfortunately, noise grew even louder. Scrapped that pair all together. Additionally, the material which makes up the fins and heat sink feels like a composite or plastic material and probably not an effective conductor of heat. Oh well, at least everyone will know how cool I am because I need vented brakes on my bicycle. Overall, can't knock 'em too much because they do perform very well otherwise and the resin-based pads have a very smooth and controllable experience. They make these same pads without the fins and they probably work just as well.

Delivered promptly, certainly appears to be genuine in every way (Packaging and Product). My SLX (BR-M675) rear brake now feels amazing - I didn't realise quite how much performance I had lost even though I could probably have got a bit more life from my old pads. The reason I put new pads in is that the bite point was too close to the bar even after bleeding and it was quite spongy. Now it is as good as new and stopping power way better. The bike was supplied with metal pads and these are the ones I just took out. Lets see how the resin pads perform. Have ordered another set for the front. Think its a good idea to clean brakes and disks with disk brake cleaner when installing these.

Had swapped a Deore XT front brake around on a few bikes. Ended up on my fatbike. Super chattery during winter conditions (<30F, snow). Almost unrideable. So noisy as to distract other riders.Found that metal pads were installed. A few forum references supported the idea that resin pads would work better. And they did. No problems at all. Plenty of braking power for winter fatbiking, and better modulation.Highly recommended.

The product appears to be genuine. Comes with 2 pads (left/right), pad holder, and pin (note, the pin is not threaded, requiring the pin to be bent to secure the pads). I've always run these pads on both my bikes, with xt brake models m785 and m8000. They work great and don't usually make a sound.4 stars because they were supposed to be Prime 1 day shipping. Purchased them on Thurs, but they didn't arrive until Mon.

These have worked very well for me over the past year and a half, but I've also used these https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B010U5F8EM/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage as a cheaper alternative. However, the cheaper pads do not have the cooling fins, and while it's not clear to me have much value the fins really have, I'm choosing to spend the extra money to stay with the pads that were designed for my XT and R785 brakes.

This is my second set. They lasted me about 7,000 miles. They installed very easily in about 2 minutes. These are my favorite disc brake pads. I’m not sure if it’s the Ice Tech Discs or the Pads but they’ve never squealed like some other brands. I feel confident when descending steep grades on hot days. A bit pricey but well worth it.

I desperately needed to replace the pads on my new road bike. Finding replacement pads for the shimano br-rs785 has been difficult in the US I would go directly to a bike shop except the closest is 2 hour drive away. Thankfully Koo Bikes UK delivered super fast and I have awesome super powerful brakes on my bike.

My preference when it comes to brake pads of any type are from SwissStop since I find their performance and longevity to be better than anyone else that I have tried. However, these resin pads from Shimano do seem to work well and at half the price of the SwissStop ones i'm happy to use these.

Purchase a couple of sets of these as they are approx half the price some online retailers are selling them for. In Shimano packaging, therefore safe to assume they are genuine. Not fitted yet, but should not be any issues. Important to bed in properly as this is how many issues occur.

Solid replacement for my pads. Running Ultegra on my Specialized Tarmac. There was life left in the pads but developed a horrible squeal when braking. Yeah.... i was that guy in the road. Tried everything but wouldn’t stop. Swapped them out and voila now I’m the stealth braker.

Great by for these pads, I usually spend $25.99 at the local bike shop. The bad part is I ride enough on the trails that I have been changing out pads every three weeks. It’s getting a little expensive per month to pay the marked up price.

It was everything l expected being shimano product. The only thing on the description was not clear that it was a pair as it only showed one brake pad in the picture. But it did come to me as two brake pads a right and left pad.

Upgraded the standard Shimano SLX resin pads which were very good but these J02A resin pads now complete the new Shimano ice discs and are noise free with a noticable and improved stopping power. Very pleased with purchase

I have used these type of brake pads for the last five years. Very durable, reliable quiet and consistent. Important, avoid any oil or lubricant contamination because it will damage the pads and even the disk rotors.

My favorite pad. I like the resin compared to the metal pads, I get a good deal of modulation and my brakes run nice and quiet. I seem to replace these pads every 450-600 miles riding mostly enduro style trails.
