Description:A moisturising shampoo containing Raw Shea Butter which is especially good for dry and damaged hair. The Good:• Contains Raw Shea Butter, Sea Kelp and Argan Oil.• A fair sized bottle of shampoo … 379ml in an easy to dispense bottle.• A lovely Shea Butter smell which is not too intense or overpowering (I personally really like the scent of Shea Butter).• This shampoo lathers really well … I have really thick shoulder length hair and only needed to use a dollop the size of a fifty pence piece to create a decent lather. Two washes were required.• Rinses out easily and left my hair squeaky clean.• My hair felt lovely and soft with a glossy sheen after use.My hair also smelled great. The Bad:• This shampoo is a little on the pricey side at £10 (at the time of this review) … however, you get what you pay for and in this case … a quality product. In summing up:A really decent shampoo with a pleasant scent that left my hair looking fantastic … I will certainly buy this again and possibly also the conditioner that goes with this shampoo.

I absolutely love the Shea Moisture haircare range, and have recently discovered this little gem. I usually go for the Strengthen & restore shampoo, so didn’t really know what to expect from it. As my hair is colour treatment and chemically straightened, I am always looking for strengthening/repairing benefits from my hair care products. This shampoo claims to be best for damaged/transitioning hair. Whilst I can’t really comment on the transitioning side of things, what I can say is that for damaged hair it does seem to work a treat. My hair felt soft and manageable after application, and like other products in this range it also has a lovey fruity scent.I think if your hair is only slightly damaged then this is definitely worth a try, but if you chemically straighten/perm/colour your hair on a regular basis I would say to opt for the Stengthen & Restore Shampoo In the Shea Moisture range, as for me I do feel that it gives a slightly more ‘strengthening’ feel and this product (I feel) is just slighty more moisturizing than it is protein based.

A heavy weight player in the shampoo market, this serious recipe, tested on 'family' over four generations, includes the most helpful, natural and delightful ingredients. Sea Kelp, Argan Oil and Organic Raw Shea Butter are all my favourite ingredients these days, and it is good to know that they are busy working away in the lather to moisturise, as well as smooth, fortifying and restoring, too. In our soft water area here, I found I only needed a tiny amount of shampoo, as it lathered up very thickly and generously. So do start with a very small blob at a time, then the bottle should last for dozens of washes.Authentic, sulphate free, really no nasty chemical stuff like parabens, phthalates, paraffin, mineral oil or synthetic colour; this rich, pearlescent, creamy and lovely shampoo leaves my hair looking its best, very shiny. I love the effect. The scent is wholesome, slightly astringent, fresh and clean. It would certainly suit both ladies and gentlemen equally. Once used I feel this will become a firm favourite.

This extra moisture retention shampoo from Shea Moisture is enriched with sea kelp and argan oil and is especially for damaged, transitioning hair, but it's also very good for dry hair too. The bottle came sealed - so don't forget to remove the small foil seal before using it for the first time. It lathers up just like a shampoo, but while you're using it, it has the intense rich creamy feel of a conditioner. This would be great to use once a week if you do have slightly dry hair just to act as boost. Also good to use if you overdo it with the hair straighteners. It has a lovely subtle smell, not overpowering. It contains no sulfates, no parabens, no phthalates, no paraffin,no mineral oil and no synthetic colour. At 9.99 (current price) for 379ml it is on the expensive side. But if you do have damaged / dry hair this does feel like it will help and a little will go a long way. For a really intense moisturise there is also a conditioner in the same range.Overall - lovely to use and made my hair feel really nice.

My wife is very fussy about her hair and very particular with her shampoo – and although established in 1912 my wife had not heard of the Shea Moisture brand previously. She has now been using this Shea Moisture Raw Shea Butter Moisture Retention Shampoo for a week or so and has been very pleasantly surprised by the results. She finds it leaves her hair how she likes it and even though we live in a hard water area she only needs a small amount of product to produce a good lather and clean hair. This is a product that seems to tick all the eco-boxes and keeps out harsh chemicals – it simply contains the Shea Butter with Sea Kelp and Argan Oil. A little pricey at around eleven pounds for 379 ml of this Moisture Retention Shampoo, however the Shea Moisture range of products will certainly be looked at very carefully by my wife in the future. A good quality ethical product that comes with my wife's recommendation.

This is a pleasant shampoo to use. It has a very very fine lather. It's free from sulphate, paraben, paraffin, mineral oil and synthetic colour. the foaming agent appears to be sodium lauroyl lactylate. The active ingredients are sea kelp which is said to smooth the hair cuticle, argan oil which restores shine and organic shea butter which is moisturizing. There doesn't appear to be any added perfume. It left my hair quite soft and smooth so that you can dispense with conditioner if you want. It has a subtle slightly citrus scent which is suitable for guys or girls. It might not be great for greasy hair but great for dry or coloured hair.It appears to be made in the USA and distributed from New York and Leeds.I quite like this as a shampoo and conditioner combined. Every now and again you may need to shampoo with a regular shampoo to get out any residue buildup.

This is my first occasion to use Shea Moisture as a brand although I have used it incorporated into other brands. It is a lovely effective shampoo which I have used for ten days, in fact it is one of the best I have used.It is tremendously reassuring to know that it does not contain any 'nasties' including paragons or sulfates whichinvariably appear in other products. So that is a big plus.I found it works up into a nice lather, rinses out very well and left my hair a little fuller, tangle free and silky smooth.I found that I did not need to use a separate conditioner which I normally use in other shampoos.I found it to have a lovely light scent, not obtrusive or overpowering. There are no shortcomings with this product.Recommended.

Very, very nice shampoo from an American brand called Shea Moisture which I had not come across before. The shampoo has a very light smell of Shea not heavy and strong like say Bodyshop's Shea body butter the scent of which I dislike. This smells light. clean and fresh. The sahmpoo is creamy but not too rich and lathered fairly well. It would be grat for very fine hair, and young children. I have an itchy/eczema patch at the base of my nape and this shampoo did not irritate it. It left my hair feeling clean and was not heavy at all . Very nice. It comes in a large bottle but a strange amount 379ml (why not 400ml ?) and is easy to dispense.Under the screw off top the lid is sealed with a bit of foil so you know it hasn't been tampered with.

I'd never come across the Shea Moisture brand before so was happy to give it a try. And I really like this shampoo, more so because it doesn't feel as "basic" as a lot of products that are free of unwanted chemical types. To be sure, this line of shampoos is free from: sulphates, parabens, phthalates, paraffin, mineral oil and synthetic colour. I found it kept my hair moisturised - I saw that one reviewer washed their hair three times and then complained of it being stripped dry(!). I didn't find this. My hair felt clean and moisturised, and that's great considering I live in a very hard water area.

Rather an expensive shampoo, but very effective and has the feel of a luxury product about it.The shampoo is rich and slightly oily in feel but massages well into the scalp and provides a fairly good lather; the scent is equally rich and pleasant – one we like very much. The shampoo leaves the hair feeling soft, clean and easy to manage; it is difficult to say if that is due to moisturization or not, but the results are good in our estimation so no quibbles on that issue.A pricey, but luxurious and most efficacious fortifying shampoo.

This shampoo is very good for dry, brittle hair that needs a bit of TLC.I use it after I've been swimming with my 2-year old and it helps combat the worst of the chlorine damage. It's got a nice scent and texture and works through the hair easily, without foaming too much. I don't have the conditioner to pair it with, but I imagine the duo would be even better for repairing dry, damaged hair. I use my UltraSwim conditioner with it instead, and that combination leaves my hair soft and glossy even after swimming.4 stars.

It's true that it's a bit smelly but you soon get used to it and then come to like the unique scent! Also it has made my hair shinier than its ever been, I think in my entire life. I feel like one of the L'oreal women on the telly. Will most likely buy again when runs out, which won't be for ages as it seems to last forever.Tip: don't use too much of it, just enough for a lather, that keeps the smell down but still makes your hair shiny.

I liked the story on the back, how this brand is so cute and family based! It smells great and made my hair tangle free and less frizzy. I have very thick curly hair and it really has helped so far! The only downside was that my hair didn’t feel like it was getting a luxury wash like I do with some other shampoos. I have only used it a few times now so will keep persevering and see how it goes!

Personally I don’t really like the smell but others may. The thickness is just right, although it has nothing to do with it when you use your shampoo from here I find that I run out of that faster than the conditioner. Although the price is more expensive than normal shampoos and conditioners I will tell you IT IS WORTH IT!!! Buttttt I will not be buying this scent again. Hope this helps :)

Fantastic! No silicone either which isn’t advertised, it lathered perfectly and my curls and v happy and feel clean! Best shampoo I’ve ever tried I think, fab ingredients. I used to use Boudicca sulphate free and didn’t get as much lather even though it turned up that the product wasn’t really sulphate free. I will be recommending the Shea shampoo and will try out their other products!
