I've recently received my Sharkoon Skiller and must say I'm very impressed with it so far. It's quite a bulky job, so ensure you have plenty of desk space to acommodate it, but its size is down to the wrist-support at the bottom of it, the flanges at the side housing 10 of the multimedia/browser buttons & the extended top housing the other 10 (ranging from My Computer, email, calculator etc., to the very handy Sleep, Wake & Power Off buttons. The overall design concept has clearly been dreamt up by a Klingon, with its angular edges & scary logos, but this is no bad thing. Depending on how you feel about Klingons of course. The Power Off key shuts down your pc in one fell swoop, but bear in mind that the keyboard has a sinister 'Klingon-in-Ibiza Tattoo'-style blue, led-lit, Sharkoon logo at the bottom, which remains lit on powering down the pc, as the keyboard is USB and your USB ports remain 'hot', ie powered up all the time unless you unplug the whole pc. This logo is bright enough to semi-light a room, so could be annoying if your pc's in a bedroom. The supplied blue rubberised gaming replacement WASD & arrow keys are easy to swap for the standard ones, using the key removal tool supplied and are very useful for FPS/strategy games, but I find that they're a bit odd when simply typing, being larger and the letters non-central on the keys. The keys are not backlit, but what would you expect at this price point? The underside front of the keyboard has rubber pads, which effectively stop it sliding about on your desk when you're running away from aliens, dodging shells from a Tiger tank or frenziedly constructing formulas in Excel: so much better than the cheap plastic ones normally associated with low-price keyboards. The key action is as positive as any rubber-dome/membrane keyboard & you'd have to pay a great deal more for a mechanical keyboard, all the key functions, including the 20 multimedia keys are automatically recognised & set up by Windows (I have Win 7), so it's plug & play out of the box. However, the supplied mini-DVD installs a very slick-looking keyboard reconfiguring utility, which allows the remapping of every key, saved as profiles associated with an app, over 3 layers,(max 20 profiles) which are automatically called up when you open the associated app, be it a game, Photoshop, Word, Excel, AutoCad & so on. You don't have to use it, but more advanced computer geeks will find it very handy. It looks the business, too! Very professionally designed & written.Overall, the appearance of this product, for a £13.99 keyboard, vastly belies its price, but I've knocked off one star for the fact that the main body (not the keys) is made of shiny plastic (a real dust & fingerprint magnet) the unswitchoffable bright led logo & the truncated left shift & backspace keys. I always use the left shift key, being right-handed & a rubbish typist, & like a big backspace as I make so many typos. but aesthetically, this keyboard will lift any desk top with its impressive slick & quirky design, & you can always invest in a rag to wipe away the fingerprints now & again & a handy wodge of Blu Tac to cover up the logo if it bothers you, can't you?Recommended. It's design is a mix of the eminently useful and the surreal. I love it.

I bought this to replace my previous keyboard that simply did not work the way I needed it to.Now I have had this keyboard for probably close on a year, and with daily use of over 6 hours, I have had time to figure out the good and the bad.The keyboard does come with software, however after about 15 minutes the software was in the bin and have not bothered with it again. It is also downloadable from the website.Appearance : It is a nice a large keyboard with buttons down the left and right sides, I have never accidentally pressed any of these buttons and used them on and off with them doing exactly what was required each time. There is a bright blue emblem in the bottom middle of the keyboard, and I will say I am not bothered by this at all. However it is quite bright so it may be a bother to some. A little black tape will sort this problem out quickly. The surface is the piano black finish meaning it is glossy and will finger smudges, however I am not overly fussed with any smudges since the keyboard still looks quite nice. As appearances go it is a keyboard so at no point will I call it sexy, it is black and does not look horribleIt does come with 8 keys for gaming (W,A,S,D, up,down, left and right ), they are a blue rubberised and textured set and actually quite nice to use. If you play games they have a nice feel so you will always know that you are touching one of these keys.Quality: I guess a years worth of usage is the real quality test. All keys are still 100% visible, everything works as it should. The keyboard does not feel cheap and I no creaking or flexing. They keys are quite high, with a fairly long depress. They are very responsive and with only a tiny spongy feel at the very end of the depression.I will admit I do miss the longer backspace and tab keys and sometimes find myself not getting something done because I pressed the ~ or \ instead. Not a huge problem, but something to keep in mind if you used to long tab and backspace keys.It is not perfect though and sometimes I have to give a key an extra bit of pressure to make sure it is doing what I want. For the price you pay ( this being on the budget end ), I think it works out to be excellent value.

I just got this keyboard today and I have to say I'm very impressed with it. It's a fantastic keyboard for the price. I love how it comes with coloured gaming keys (WASD and up, down, left and right) which are blue and ridged as opposed to black like the other keys. They don't hinder your typing either even though they're a little bit bigger than all the other keys. The keyboard itself is larger than most standard keyboards but if your standard keyboard fits on the desk and still gives room for your mouse pad then you shouldn't have any problems (couple of extra inches needed I guess). The keyboard itself is quite heavy and seems to be solidly built. There's a blue symbol on the front of the keyboard (underneath the right alt key),it's a blue dragon and it's lit up. It's pretty cool but gets annoying if you're playing in the dark as it's very bright and distracts you from the game. I might put some black tape over that or something. Oh and also it has loads of extra buttons on the top, left and right that take you straight to my computer, documents, downloads, email, search, stuff like that. It also has those little clip thingies underneath at the back if you're one of those type of people that likes to elevate the keyboard a little bit and have it at an angle while you play/type.Literally the only negative thing I can think to say about this keyboard is the fact that the backspace key is small - the same size as one of the letter keys as opposed to the bigger size it is on most keyboards. It'll take me a little while to get used to that. Apart from that one tiny thing this keyboard is awesome for such a small price, probably one of the best budget gaming keyboards out there.

Just to put into context, I bought this product January 2014. To this day I still use it on my second PC (family pc) and to this day it still works perfectly. I highly recommend this keyboard to someone just getting into computers, it is a nifty little keyboard and last me through all those years playing games like CS, Arma, LOL, and the list goes on. The keyboard is very responsive and extremely sturdy haven worked this long without so much as a fault. Now obviously this is just a low end keyboard, I don't recommend this type of keyboard for a high end custom build, but for something like a first ever pc at a younger age, with a low budget,I couldn't recommend this more.Pros;- Extremely sturdy and long lasting- Cheap and great for its price- Responsive keys and great of gaming- Comfortable fit and positioning- All round good first keyboard for someone with low budget.- Nice blue led's- Blue gripped keys for w,a,s,d for people just getting into pc gaming- Backup keys (never had to use any)- Nice sleek look to itCons;- Little on the large side- Weird shape but still comfortable (personal preference I guess)- Plastic feels a bit cheep but still seems extremely sturdyTo summarize, if you are looking for a first time pc build keyboard, or a keyboard for a son or younger person, I couldn't recommend this more as it last well over its cheap prize tag, does the job well, and looks nice. If you are looking something much more high spec with a price tag to follow I'd recommend something different, even though this is a great keyboard for the low price tag there are much better keyboard out there if you have the money to spend.

I've been using this keyboard for about a year now and I have mostly good things to say about it.Pros:- Keys are very soft and quiet- Curve/handrest at the bottom doesn't get in the way and is fairly comfortable(which is an issue if you have large hands like me)- USB cable is pretty short so it helps keep things tidy(could be a downside for some people)- Basically great for the priceCons:- Since it's cheap its cheap plastic, mine curves in the middle so it doesn't rest flat on the desk causing it to tap on the table when I'm typing on both ends of the keyboard- If you leave your PC on overnight unplug this keyboard, the light on the handrest in the middle is on as long as the PC is getting power and it can be annoying if you sleep in the same room- The backspace key is tiny, it's the size of a normal letter key so it takes a long time to get used to if you're doing a lot of quick typing, I often ended up hitting enter by accident for the first while- Either I can't find it or the keys for calculator, mail, clipboard etc. can't be edited in software to different hotkeys which would be nice but I'm pretty sure it's not advertised to do that so not much of a downside, would just be nice to have the option- POWER BUTTON. Yeah the keyboard has a power button on the top right when if pressed turns off your computer as quickly as possible so make sure not to leave anything near it that could fall and press it and don't accidentally press it while reaching for the print screen button which is just below it.

Read some reviews on this and saw people had trouble with the gaming keys and said its not well made etc.I seriously dunno what some people do maybe stomp on the keyboard with their feet to break it I dunno but its very well made.Gaming keys work fine they give you a little tool to pull the keys out and to grab the gaming keys and slot them in place.I play a lot of MMORPG's such as Aion and Final Fantasy 14 where I need quick reaction time this keyboard has done me proudIt is a very wide keyboard though much larger than your standard one which is expected. The awesome buttons on the side is good for gamers to pause music while still in game to watch cutscenes and you can also change tracksaswell. And you can even turn your PC off and sleep it from the keyboard every lazy gamers dream :DAnother useful aspect of this is the software driver you can install with it. This software is AMAZING.You can do so much with it - You can make your own keyboard setup it has 3 different custom keyboard layouts you can use.E.g. Layer 1 - Gaming setup - Layer 2 - Browsing setup and Layer 3 - Standard setup. So essentially you have three keyboards in one it is so useful with gaming its crazy. You can switch layers whenever you want and can even make a hotkey to switch between layers. You can assign macros to each whatever key you want and assign commands to any key you want. You can even launch programs from a key you have assigned.Very Happy with the product gets a 5/5 from me! ^_^

I feel the need to write a fairly detailed review of this keyboard as i don't think there is one that does it justice.this keyboard uses membrane keys not mechanical switches. this isn't a problem for me as i don't mind either way and they keys have a nice feel to them anyway. in the box you get the keyboard, a baggy with blue rubberised alternate W,A,S and D keys as well as alternate arrow keys and a key puller.I bought this board for a gaming PC I am building but as it inst finished yet I'm using it on my acer aspire laptop. the keyboard worked straight out of the box as soon as i plugged it in and the drivers had installedthere is a micro disc included which is pretty odd but as far as ican tell it is completely superfluous.my one complaint with this board is the half sized backspace key, but even having only typed this review on it since i bought it i can already fell myself getting used to it. my personal favorite feature on this board is the three little hot key arrays on the left right and top of the board these allow instant access to "my computer" "calculator" and file search. these also allow you to open up and play next and previous songs on itunes as well as the obligatory play/pause button. there are also keys that take you home in your browser and allow you to skip backwards and forwards between sites.all in all i am delighted with this board and would recommend it to anyone looking for a cheap, well built , nice looking gaming keyboard.

Positives:- Great gaming keyboard and very cheap.- Looks very nice and has the 'gaming look' it's certainly not a business keyboard- Has a very nice textured feel to the keys.- Has anti sliding grips on the feet of the keyboard, prevents the keyboard from sliding around while typing or during vigorous gaming sessions- Good responsiveness.- Plenty of multimedia keys and macro keys as well as 3 profiles to save multiple settings.- Nice illuminated keys and back lighting with brightness adjustment from 0% to 100% in 10% increments as well as a breathing mode.- It also has a gaming mode that I don't really know what it does but I use it when I game just in case.Negatives:- Keys do feel a bit wobbly-I can hear and feel the spring in the space bar which is quite annoying while typing- The back lighting tends to affect my eyes slightly when not looking directly at the keyboard and moving my eyes (Not sure if this is just me or affects everyone)- The multimedia keys are slightly difficult to press down, the seem to have a lot of resistance and don't go down far enough for fast pushing i.e. Increasing the volumeOverall, it's a very nice keyboard and for the price it's definitely worth it. Of course this is an early review there is still time yet to see how it will stand the test of time and I will update this review when that time comes.

UPDATE: Okay, as promised, I am updating the review, in light of the QWERTY,english keyboard. I love it. The layout is great, the keybinding works a treat. All the shortcut keys seem to be placed where I intuitively seem to reach - although that may just be me. Personally I love this device. There are only two (minor) changes I would make (and these are very much personal preferences)1) add an adjustable brightness backlight the keyboard,2) make the main logo backlight brightness adjustable, as it is VERY bright at night!I'm not a hardcore gamer, nor am I a programmer, so I'm sure the more extreme user will have alternative (and probably more valid) views, but for me, it's a great product.:)Old Review:- The keyboard itself is styled beautifully and looks cracking, but be warned! Although the images show a UK Qwerty keyboard the actual product being sold is a German Qwertz layout. All the buttons around the edge are in german too, so unless you re fluent, it is of no use to you! It has cost me £20 to return this item, which cost me £20 including shipping - all to get a £12 refund, so overall I am £28 out of pocket! Not a great item due to this glaring issue! If a UK Qwerty version is ever sold, I would happily change this to a 4 star review.

It's one of those things that are low in price but performs really well, and as I mentioned in previous reviews, have a good price to performance ratio. This is what I look for when looking at things to buy. It's got a nice bit of wrist support at the bottom, a glowing blue Sharkoon Skiller logo, soft easy to press keys that don't get stuck like cheaper keyboards do...I've not got much bad to say about it. The macros set up nicely and the multimedia keys work well as well. Just be careful not to accidentally hit that 'Power' or 'Sleep' button on the upper right of the keyboard. It comes with Flat Blue Rubber keys which you can use for easy gaming with familiar keys (W A S D Up Down Left Right),because you don't want to miss pressing the right key all because your hand moved away and lost your place on the keyboard. They are nicely sized as well, it helps. It's probably not the best gaming keyboard, though I've not used any gaming keyboards beyond this, but it is definitely the best keyboard I've ever used. The software can be a bit buggy at times, but you should be able to figure it out in no time at all.

TLDR: nice design, interchangeable rubberised WASD keys, dedicated media/shortcut buttons, good usb cable, great for gaming. well worth the current £18 priceI'm blown away by the quality for this price. It comes with interchangeable rubber coated WASD and arrow keys with the letters/arrows etched in so you won't have to worry about wearing off the paint with heavy gaming use. The design is comparable to Razer products with slightly cheaper feel, but considering the price difference there's not as much of a difference as you might expect. It has a good quality usb cable, albeit rubber coated rather than braided. The keys feel fairly high quality and very responsive and the surrounding plethora of media and shortcut buttons is admirable. The only illumination is the S at the bottom but it looks the business and overall the keyboard could easily convince someone that it commands a price tag nearer £50. if only it was backlit. Now i'm not saying you should buy this instead of a high end keyboard but if you're on a budget this is a great buy and you won't find better quality for under £30

I needed a new keyboard after my old one broke. This caught my attention due to the low price and extra media keys. I love a minimal desktop so the media keys aswell as the option to re-programme some keys sealed the deal. The keyboard is pretty big due to the extra media keys set along both sides aswell as across the top. The only reason I gave this a four stars instead of five is due to these keys. The main keys (including the extra padded ones) have a pretty decent feel to them when pressed. The media keys however are just flimsy and cheap, I have no doubt that these will go a very long time before the main keyboard ones. The first board that arrived had to be sent back as one of the mediakeys after one press sunk into the keyboard which left a huge hole.As others have all mentioned the blue light at the base of this board is very bright and does not turn off with the pc.The software allows you to change every key to just about anything you require. As a gamer the W,S,A,D rubber keys are brilliant.A great keyboard with only two minor flaws. .

Good product. I'm a bit pf a casual gamer and music producer, I bought this product as the wireless Keyboard I had just felt awful and was uncomfortable to use. After using this product for a few months, I have grown to appreciate it. The keyboards design is great and all the shortcut buttons are very helpful. I particularly like the fact you can replace keys with blue rubberized keys, it just means that when you are gaming you dont have to look at the keys to find the wasd keys. However this product isn't exactly perfect, the blue lights used are very strong and quite piercing I've had to cover the lights with tape because it is just so annoying! Also the key layout is a bit iffy, all the keys are in the right place and the right size BUT the erase/ backspace key. It's the same size as all the other keys and just tucked in the corner which for me makes it very hard to notice and makes everyday tasks a bit tedious, however I am starting to get used to it.It is worth the money I paid for , it just needs a bit of tweaking to make it a great product!

Bought this for my little bro and was well impressed what i got for the price i paid. The custom added grip W.A.S.D.l,r,u,down buttons are nice and it made me look at my more expensive keyboard and wonder why they didn't do the same thing! It has a custom program where you can set buttons to the mouse, turn them off and on with 3 profiles and a lot more which i haven't messed around with yet.The design is smart and looks great. The keyboard light stays on if you don't turn the switch on the computer off at the back but so what this is a bargain and who cares anyway? if you don't like the light on just turn your pc fully off, don't be so lazy. Not sure about the issues everyone else had but this seems well built.8.5/10 for what it is.Of course it's nice to get a mechanical keyboard that has color back lighted keys and other features but at this price you're not going to get that.At the end of the day it's cheap but looks like a 20-40 pound keyboard and if it doesn't work send it back, order another of go for something else.

Here i have chosen 4 stars as i feel it definitely deserves it in fact i am using this keyboard to write this review. The 4 stars are one for each of the nice things about it those being, price, performance, fast delivery and features. By this i mean it is not only because cheap but also very good for performance not the best i am not going to lie but for aroung £15 its up there. Plus it comes with a nice set of extra buttons at the sides for media controls pause/play, mute, volume etc and on the other side have browser controls refresh, forward/back, save and more at the top of the keyboard. This is an all-round item it can just be for normal use like typing emails and looking cool on yourdesk or it can be used more for gaming as it comes with the removable rubber keys and i havent seen any lag or ghosting with the keys when in game. In conclusion i would suggest this to all people for a cheap replacement for a more expensive keyboard from other brands.
