I bought this casting set for a very good friend of mine child's 8th birthday. She told me that her son and his younger brother had had hours of fun and would like similar presents in the future. Sometimes making things can be more rewarding than just pressing buttons and this fits the bill for budding 'crafty kids'. It ticked all the right boxes for a young boy who just loves all things creepy crawly (and getting messy). My friend would definitely rate this 8-9 of 10. It also arrived at the requested time - Amazon have never let me down!

Good for kids who like creepy crawlies, but could have had spare mix for more plaster as some of them broke when getting out of the mould, and could have made more if there was more mix. Also the glow paint was very thick and hard to get onto the moulds with the brush provided and not very bright in the dark, but for the price and what it was - it was ok. Made my boy happy so can't complain!

I'm very happy with this product. My son really enjoyed it. The only thing I would say is the glowing paint which glows only if you put tone of it.Otherwise we had a lot of fun and a very nice display of our art work. I bought few of those already as they make perfect unisex birthday present a.d it is always useful to have emergency one in your cupboard :)

My 5 year old son loves this kit. The models are easy to make and the plaster set well and came out of the moulds easily. The models are detailed and realistic. There is plenty of paint in interesting colours so that you can paint different details on the dinosaurs in different colours. The moulds can be re-used but you would need to buy more plaster.

This was great for the price. You mix the concrete with water in a jug (which my 9 year old enjoyed) then pour the slip into the mould. Wait 24 hours and then paint them. I choose these because there is not much out there for boys like this, so I really liked that there are bugs and spiders to make. Great gift too.

Brought as gift for 7yr old son - LOVED IT! Him and his older brother could not wait to make it and paint it. Plenty left for 2 sets of each. Dries super fast - great gift. Arrived super fast - ordered saturday pm arrived Monday - very happy

My granddaughter aged 6 loved this. She is into bugs and snails. She got an added bonus as after you have made the bugs you paint them and they glow in the dark. She has made one and has it in her bedroom where it does glow

Great for creative kids(4,9 and 11). Paints are descent. Mold can be used several times.But... instructions very poor and don't work. Takes more then 24hrs to fully dry. Consistency is not as shown in instructions.

My 8 year old son loved this - very hard to find arts and crafts for boys so this was a perfect buy. Plenty of plaster in the box to make a few of each design. The glow in the dark paint really does work too.

My son loved this product, easy to make and even more fun to paint! Will dry in less time than stated if mixed correctly which was an added bonus. Made around 5 dinosaurs out of one packet of mix.

Fantastic product well worth it however didn't include instructions as to water:powder ratio... Everything else was clear and they still set perfectly kids loved painting them....

My children and I had great fun with this - The only problem with it is what insect the kids wanted to paint!! Arguments ensued !!Really easy and very satisfying.

Great little craft project. Haven’t painted them yet but really good results with the plaster. Fairly small brush for intricate paint work later. Pleased so far.

Easy to use nothing like when I was a kid and they would turn up like plaster of paris blobs, you can buy more plaster from hobbie craft for £3 winner

The whole family had fun painting these. The mixture is very simple to make. It drys a lot faster than recommended which is a plus. Would buy again.
