I bought this as a trial to replace G4 bulbs in some cabinet downlights, the commonplace surface mounting ones about 70mm diameter and 20mm high, sold by Screwfix, B&Q and TLC a while back. My major aim was to reduce the heat produced, as the whole display case has over a dozen lights, and at 20W a time for halogen, it gets toasty inside.The good news is it takes a moment to fit, and afterwards, with the warm white type, both the intensity and the colour were not noticabley different from the remaining halogen bulbs. I have a number of downlights with G4 halogen bulbs which are 12 v powered by small transformers have been looking for a quality replacement,have purchasd chinese imports for other bulbs which have not been durable.I purschased a sebson e27 30w bulb 3 years ago still working great.After reading some earlier review saying these will fit in standard downlight mounts decided to buy them.They will just about fit is a standard downlight fitting but as someone else suggested the reflector isnt needed as they are one directional so cut some of the reflector away with tip snips and they fit perfectly.The quality of light is good it is warm white and brighter than the g4 halogen they replaced I had a

Bought four of these just over a year ago, to replace G4 halogens under the kitchen cupboards. These were the only LED bulbs I could find that were small enough for the fittings, but bright enough to be a suitable replacement. I replaced the transformers at the same time. The first bulb failed at the weekend, after less than 1000 hours of use. It also failed short circuit, meaning that all other bulbs on the same transformer went out. Maybe this was just a one-off, so I'm replacing the failed bulb with the same item for now, and I'll update this review if any more fail. I've used other Sebson bulbs and been pleased with them.

I have gone through a lot of inferior G4 LED bulbs and finally found this one (Pack of 10 Bought 4 previously).These bulbs are the best I have come across and are a definitive replacement for 20w halogens, I actually think they are brighter.The colour is exactly the same as a normal halogen, warm and bright.Having gone through so many LEDs I will keep this review updated if any fail.If you are going to invest in these, make sure you get a LED power source/transformer. They run the bulbs at a constant voltage, I would suggest that without a transformer they may fail.Fingers crossed - would recommend highly - so far.

Great - I bought 12 of these as part of my project to convert the kitchen lighting from halogen to LED. They fitted in the housings (originally containing 25w G4 halogen bulbs) without any problem and give out the same amount of light and pretty much the same colour temperature (to my eyes at least). Connecting these to the original (non LED) drivers gave some flickering and humming so I swapped the drivers for some LED drivers (Auraglow MR16, MR11, G4 LED Light Bulb Driver Transformer, 12w ) and that finished off the job nicely - no more humming or flickering. Even my wife couldn't find anything to fault!

These have quite good colour rendering and the warm white are a good colour match with other tungsten lamps in the same room.I had to replace the old transformers as they didn't like the reduced load and they were an old noisy dimmable type which caused very bad flicker (even though they were not connected to a dimmer or dimmed at all).(description of these Sebson LED's does say not suitable for dimming)I substituted a 12v DC LED driver of suitable wattage and now my display cabinet looks good again and has no flicker or noise.plus huge energy saving reduced from 120w to 15w now!

My caravan has 7 flat round lamp holders which contain small cylindrical G4 halogen lamps. These get ridiculously hot when in use. Few of the holders are starting to show signs of heat damage, so I sort an LED alternative.These are perfect for the job as they are noticeably brighter than the originals, generate virtual no heat and use far less power, which is an important consideration if you plan to run off the van battery.They are a slightly tight fit in the holder but we're easy to fit and didn't impede the refitted of the lens at all.Well worth the effort I think.

Perfect to replace my under cupboard halogen capsules. Good brightness and colour. I currently have a mixture of the two and replace the halogens as they fail. You cant tell the difference. The under cupboard lights are those stainless steel triangular jobs and these fit perfectly.Also so far, I haven't needed to change the transformers to LED drivers, although I did buy them at the same time just in case I need to as the load becomes more LED and less halogen.

Bought these for light fittings under our kitchen cupboards. Previously the halogen G4 lamps needed replacing regularly and it was an awkward fiddly job that I hated. These Sebson jobbies last longer, run cooler and use far less juice. Just need to cut a millimeter or so off the pins because they are longer than the lamps they replace. We've been lucky with the transformers so far, no flickering and the colour temperature is identical to incandescent.

Took a chance and bought 15 bulbs in one go for a) a couple of desk lamps in my office and b) underlighting throughout my kitchen. Very pleased with the tone of the lighting - gentle & pleasant. As with other reviewers of this G20 LED bulbs, found that the length of the bulb assembly was a bit too long for some of the lamp units, but subtle trimming of the pins by a couple of millimetres (using a set of wire snips) did the trick. Very happy.

This is a great product. As many reviewers have noted, you will likely find that they don't fit your current enclosure with reflector. But these are uni-directional and the reflector is hence redundant. Just rip it out and the LED will fit. These things easily produce the equivalent luminous flux of a 20W halogen bulb. Their colour temperature also, unusually, met with the wife's approval - perhaps slightly below 3k.

Fits inside the bathroom light fitting of my motorhome to replace a halogen G4 bulb. I didn't have to take the reflective back out. It is brighter than the halogen and a truly warm white so I'm very pleased. AS the bathroom light isn't on long the saving will not be immense but it should outlive the van and every little helps when you are trying to keep off expensive caravan sites with electric hook up!

When the box arrived, there was a sticker label on it saying that the 4 LED units must be used as a set. Since I only needed 3 for my NEFF hood extractor, no surprise that they didn't work and I had to send back. So I can't comment on their quality or performance. It would have saved both the seller and me some grief if the item description online stated this fact....

Used these to replace 20w halogen lights in under counter lighting. I did have to replace the transformer as they flickered slightly but this was fairly straight forward. After doing this the lights actually seem brighter than the halogens and give off a similar colour light, perfect for lighting the countertop. Would definitely recommend.

Very happy with this, bought one and ordering two more. It produces light which is the same colour as the halogen it replaced but is more diffuse and so lights even better as there is almost no shadow on the wall adjacent to the light. Much better than another similar product that I tried before. Doesn't get hot like the halogens did.
