My iMac internal drive was almost full,thus slowing down the performance. I had over 800 gb of images stored in Apple photos so decided to transfer all of my photos to an external drive. After looking at reviews on line I decided to purchase the Seagate expansion 8 tb external hard drive. Set up was easy. Plug in and play. The drive had to be reformatted to Apple. I then partitioned the drive to use as a time machine backup and to use Apple photos from it. My iMac runs much faster now.

At 8TB, this is the biggest external hard drive I've purchased. My previous purchases were 2TB and 4TB. They were all this same design of Seagate Expansion Hard Drive and are still very reliable after many years of use. I like the triangle pattern on the plastic and that it can work on both PC and Apple computers and also PS4 and XBox games consoles. Files transfer very quickly from the computer to the Seagate, and are also very quick in the other direction from Seagate to computer.

It's a mechanical hard drive... what more do you expect. It spins a few disks and stores a huge amount of data. Hard drives are the green label desktop kind with 5400 rpm speeds instead of 7200 so not great but good for backups of huge files and not noticeable over USB 3. Exactly the same internal drive as the backup one minus the USB hub but this one turns off when the computer does which is handy.

Bought it as an external upgrade drive for PS4 Pro and connecting it was easy using USB. PS4 formatted it and it's set to be my main device. Works a dream and can even set it to power off when I turn off the PS4. Highly recommend, mine was an upgrade of a lower storage size and this performs equally as well as my previous model did.

I bought this item to further expand my playstation 4s memory, formatting it to the playstation took seconds. I have transferred all of my PS4 games on there and it was really quick. I'd highly recommend this product to other customers wanting to expand there consoles memory, it's an astounding and reliable piece of kit!

Looks good and was very easy to set up - helpful suggested steps including auto back-up.Was in use within an hour - the first back up does take a while but my laptop is 1tb which now I've managed to delete files off my drive so should now run quicker.

I bought this to increase my storage on my ps4 it connected effortlessly and was easy to set up. It runs almost silently and looks stylish. I now have enough room for all my games. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for extra games storage.

Excellent product, bought for PS4 more than enough space... A total of 10tb in my PS4 now (8tb external 2tb internal) all my games are digitally downloaded.Works well no issues always had the seagate expansion external HDD highly recommend.

Bought this as an external storage for my PS4, replacing my 4TB version of this.Extremely easy to setup, just plug it in, follow the on-screen prompts to format and away you go.More than enough space for all your gaming needs!

As I do a fair bit of 3D modelling I’ve built up a big library of Poser and DAZ3D stuff which I was storing on an assortment of external drives so I got this to keep it all in one place and it does the job fine.
