The item I received is not what is shown, but I knew the picture must have been wrong. The canister pictured holds way more than 100ml. What I got was a small 100ml self packaged bag that fits perfectly in my Aqua Clear hang-on filter. Originally, I got Ick in my freshwater tank. So I went to the closest pet store and got the only medication they had, chelated copper. So I come to find out that with this wonderful medication in my water that I can't have any freshwater shrimp. Bummer. So I thought the carbon would remove the medication like all the other Ick medications but not so with chelated copper. It stays forever. So anyway I got a water copper test kit to see where my copper was at.It wasn't too bad but before I put this in I was reading about 5ppm. After a week with this in my filter I now have no copper in my water. The resin has turned a bit blue as it said it would when it absorbed the copper. I'm happy and I have shrimp living happy in my tank now just 2 weeks after adding this to my filter.

It's really hard to estimate how much is in this package in terms of VISUAL volume. And when you get it, you may wonder if it will work on X-size aquarium. It's small enough to fit in many Whisper filters, but since copper isn't all that common anymore (even in medications) it can handle very large aquariums too. It appears too small for many aquariums out there (you might wonder if it can even cover 30-gallons) but it can do the job. The best part is it's regenerable, so you can use it every time you have to use copper meds, to get the copper back out after treatment. Or if it's used in a very large tank and seems to stop removing the copper, take it out, soak it in the muriatic acid solution, rinse, and plop it back in. So a small amount can really go a LONG way.

I first used cuprisorb years ago for a marine tank, kept it in till the bag wore out, marine life, specially my cleaner shrimp thrived. a few years of back to back storms decimated my tank and I converted it to fresh. some how I got some copper in the water system, this took care of it. I have it in a safe moist spot now, as my fresh plants need some of the minerals it will remove beside copper.Unless you have a lot of copper/metal I can't see how the bag would ever need a recharge, it works and works, and frankly, I would just replace it as there are noxious chemicals in the recharge recipe/procedureThe newer bag, is thinner and had better water flow, a better design than what I knew years ago,was happy with the new bag, and the stuff inside

Great product. If you are using water from the tap its more than likely to have copper in it. I had an issue keeping shrimp alive in my tank because of the trace copper. I put this in and a week later was able to add shrimp. The shrimp have been in the tank for months with no issues. I highly suggest using this product if you are using tap water (use conditioner as well) then leave this bag in the filter to remove the trace copper from your tap water.*Media is very tiny and wont fit in a normal media bag****If you do not have a media bag that works buy a cheap pair of pantyhose, cut them to size, wash them in tap water with conditioner, tie it closed, then add it your the filter. ***

I placed this in my filter (power filter 10) and it barely fit because the bag is quite big for my filter. However, it worked perfectly. I had it installed for two days and it worked perfectly. I tested my copper levels using API's kit (I know it kinda sucks) and it came out with 0ppm of copper. I am very satisfied with this product and would only hope that they also include a smaller pouch for small filters like mine. However, that isn't much of a problem.Highly recommended.

Seachem products speak for themselves, as always, product was as advertised. I’m hard pressed to find anything wrong with ANY of their products and most, if not all, of my ferts or chemicals are seachem and I love them all.I included a pic of the directions, they come inside the packaging so they are not pictured in the product details. Just so you can look at them before you buy, to be sure you can use or need it!

Fantastic product. I wanted to have a shrimp tank but they kept dying (RCS) and I wondered why. Doing research, I found out that there could be lots of copper in that tank so I started using Cuprisorb. The beads turned blue after a few weeks indicating a high presence of copper.I now have shrimps living happily in that tank thanks to this product. Highly recommend.

I use it to remove copper from my tanks and tap water. I keep shrimp and crayfish, and they do not tolerate copper even at small levels. I put this in my filter media and it removes all traces of copper. My inverts, including my nerite snails are much more active now, and I am hoping they will begin to mate and produce once again.

Amazing!!! Don't waste your time with products that claim to kill ich without copper. Use copper and then use this. It works 100%. I wasted my time and lost some live stock. I added my corals back to the main tank in 2 weeks after installed this substrate. I dropped this to a small filter bag before I used.

Effective product for removing copper in an aquatic system.A year ago, I treated a small tank with copper. I have a small tank that uses the eLive Duo Filter. For more information on that filter, please follow the product link on Amazon

Filtration media is pre-bagged and small enough to fit into a HOB filter such as a Marineland Emperor or similar. I used for removing Cupramine from a 30g hospital tank (no substrate or live rock). Very effective and works as advertised.

I had some sand that was contaminated by copper meds and this product was able to pull all of it out. I could see the color change indicating it had. Great product to use if you suspect you have copper in your system and want it out.

Helped absorb the copper out of my quarantine tank after treatment. I love Seachem's products. I use their Matrix and Purigen in my canister filter and my tank is pristine with stable numbers. I also swear by their Prime.

Happy shrimp, no copper, no problem. Like most Seachem products, you can regenerate it. I have copper pipes in my home and one of these bad boys in my canister and I have zero Copper in my shrimp tank.

Removed all traces of copper in my (used) aquarium (took about a month), no more cherry shrimp die-offs. I keep it clipped to the filter discharge to catch any traces that will leach out of rocks etc.
