Another Hape toy for my grandson's now quite extensive collection of Hape toys.He hasn't mastered this yet (23 months), but he knows what to do and tries regularly to place the balls in the sections. He will learn how to do it eventually but for now is happy when he gets a ball to move with the magnet, though he has not yet managed to coordinate the ball to the right colour. The magnet itself isn't that strong and therefore unless you are extremely careful (no under 3 year old would be), the ball will always get away from the magnet before you get to the right colour - doing this very slowly and carefully (which is the point of the toy) is key...teaching patience as well as hand/eye coordination,

Really nice idea it may look like a very simple puzzle but it takes a good bit of hand coordination to keep the magnetic balls attached to the pen so it will grow with your child. Mines almost two and likes me to help him move the balls into the correct colour while learning them as we go. he attempts to do it himself but cant just yet. While writing this review i have him clambering on me opening and closing his hand shouting "ta ta ta" at the screen he really like his puzzle and its given him some good period of interest.

I bought this for my eldest when he was 2... He's now 5 and still enjoys playing with it! My youngest is nearly 2 and it's his favourite toy at the moment! It's always admired by visitors when they see it too. Highly recommended.

Perfect for helping fine motor skills along with colours ideal gift. I bought this for my two year old and although she is unable to use correctly at the moment she often brings it over for me to show her what to do
