I go through lots of tires and have been experimenting with the Rock Razor, and it is a VERY fast all around tire. I have suffered from a lack of traction on very steep loose climbs and very steep extended descents but it's so fast everywhere else that overall it makes me faster. Still trying to decide if the trade off is worth it to me but I assure you, that the performance is outstanding on anything short of those 2 specific circumstances. The HD2 is my all time favorite rear tire and it can climb and descend some amazing stuff and is fastest in it's category, but is notably slower than the Rock Razor.

In my opinion, the best all-mountain slick seed tire on the square, better than the Specialized Slaughter and the Maxxis Minion SS, both less wide and heavier. I use it all year round due to the great efficiency in pedaling, even if it is a compromise during the winter when it runs on muddy surfaces. Obviously it gives the best of itself on dry and compact surfaces.

Roll property is good to very good in sandy t.e.m. hard surfaces. Good grip in the corners. Mud not tested yet. Fast and correct delivery!

Great rolling with side grip. Works well on dry pack condition.
