Was expecting it to break straight away based on reviews, but for the price it's great. Had them 4 weeks and they seem to have become a permanent accessory to the bike whether going for 30 + mile runs, short trips into town or going for overnight stays with friends/relatives.The zips are pretty typical for this price range. OK if you're not too rough and over-fill them so you have to be a bit careful and the bags are quite small.I don't really like the Velcro attaching mechanisms, but what can you expect for the price? It does take a few fiddly minutes to get the bags secured to the rack. They are great for travelling to an overnight stop or to carry some extra clothes and tools on longer rides. They are not waterproof so extended downpours will leave a puddle in the bottom and any electrical items may get damaged if not sealed in something else first. They can survive short showers and mist mostly due to the drying effects of just moving through the air on the bike.I've stowed a camera, tools, pump, jacket, t-shirt, jeans wash stuff, lock and camera in the bags with a little room to spare. I could probably fit a lot more in if I thought about it a bit more (i.e used smaller hair wash, mounted pump on frame and used a seat bag for tools)You could fit a netbook into the bags as well as a limited shopping, but a laptop (15inch +) will not fit so you might find them ideal for school/college runs. A super-heavy load might break the bags too.Great product overall, just remember that it's not a rugged version so you will have to respect the limitations, but perfect for what I do with them.

I needed an everyday double pannier for my bike and didn't want to spend £30 or £40 on them. On seeing these at this price and reading the reviews I thought it was worth a gamble. Well, lucky me the gamble paid off. These would be brilliant even if you paid £20. At under £10 they are bargain of the year, but the illustration isn't very accurate and some people's reviews here sound as if their purchase is quite different from mineFirstly the material has a quality feel to it and it looks good on the bike. There is a large and small compartment each side, individually zipped, and a handle on the top. The zips were nice straight out of the box and I didn't experience any of the problems other people her had reported here. The straps (there are 6 - 2 top front; 2 top rear and 1 on each leg)) are velcro and, yes, a bit on the short side but they only have to go around the pannier frame. They matched my frame pretty well and took less than 30 seconds to fit.. Once done up there is no way they will come undone. Your frame, of course, might be a different design. I have no idea if these panniers are weatherproof, I haven't tested them and it would be asking a lot for sub £10 bags but the zips are covered and it wouldn't be difficult to proof them or use dry bags.If you are going touring, or camping you will want bigger bags and will pay quite a bit more but, if, like me, you only need a pannier for the odd day out, bit of shopping, waterproofs, maps, tools etc. this is a brilliant product at a bargain price.

It seems as though there has been a batch of mis-listed pannier bags getting sent out. I bought mine from Amazon over a year ago and they have been in regular use since. They are not perfect but they far exceed my expectations for the price.Size-wise, they are neither huge nor tiny. The extra pockets on the outside of the bag do make the panniers rather wide when full but not really any wider than my old MTB's handlebars and it probably encourages motorists to give you a bit of space.Capacity wise I can get a couple of day's family shopping in them. Each side will take 2x 2l bottle of pop plus a few extra bits of shopping as well (tins of beans etc). I use them each day for work and can get work trousers, shirt, top and towel in one side and my size 13 shoes in the other with space to spare. The Velcro fixing is not flashy but it is effective. The material is sturdy. I expect to get a lot more use out of them but when they break I will replace them with an Ortlieb-style pannier as I don't need a double sided pannier (unwieldy to carry off the bike) and I would like a quicker attachment system.

I wanted a replacement double pannier with easy Velcro attachment for commuting to work and holding wet weather gear, spare lock, tools and small pump, spare batteries etc for lights. I also need space to put in computer (have a small laptop), papers, wallet, keys, lunch, cans of soft drink and coffee mugs that I take between home and work to wash in dishwasher and whatever else I might need on occasions. This does the job. The Velcro attachments are different to my last one but are actually quicker and easier to attach - there are 4 on each top corner (+ 2 on the back of each bag). I just attach 2 on diagonally opposite corners for the journey to work - takes seconds.for longer more difficult journeys could attach all and shouldn't take much longer. I put waterproof hi viz backpack covers (HUMP) over them to improve visibility/safety and to add the element of protection in a downpour. Excellent value bag.

These are ever so good. They fit on my woman's bike with ease, attach quite simply with velcro and easily carry files, shopping, 2 2.5l bottles in each bag (soft drinks, ne pas le cidre).I usually take them shopping with me and they are attached as one piece of material, with a convenient carry handle in the middle. They look more expensive than they are, are sturdier than you would expect as they are made of top quality fabric I reckon will be pretty waterproof, the reflectors are good for riding on an evening and as all the other reviews state, I can see them lasting a long time. You have to remember to tie them on though, because once I forgot and some builders shouted after me in the street after seeing them fall off onto the pavement and luckily gave them back to me!

After reading quite a few reviews on this item, I decided to buy, and I'm so glad that I did. I do already have panniers for touring, but wanted everyday ones for my commute to work and maybe shopping in the local town. These do more than that! After buying, I simply sprayed the zips with WD40 as recommended by other buyers, and also went one step further, by buying a tin of fabisil water proofer, and I used the full can all over these - now they are perfect! I don't take them off my bike. My friend has also bought some for our tour coast to coast in the summer - they are that good. For anyone thinking about buying, just get a can of WD40 or other lubricant, then go to your outdoors store and get a waterproof spray, and that's it - all year round panniers - as it should be.

This is a perfectly decent pannier bag: I took it round Wales on a 10 day cycle trip, filled it pretty much to capacity (I think it was about 3-4kg per bag), and it did just fine. A few things worth noting specifically:Pros- Lightweight- Reflectors- Easy to strap on and take off- Built fairly sturdily- Very good priceCons- Smaller than I expected, and not exactly the same as in the diagram- Very basic build, fabric, bog standard zips etc- Not waterproofBasically, I think after some heavy use over a longer period of time, the zip would probably give way or the fabric would tear, due to basic build quality. But for the price, these bags are very good value, and I would recommend them.

I was looking for something to carry my stuff while doing a coast to coast trip using hostels, not a round the world trip, and may only use them a couple of times a year. These are perfect, not that big but overnight stuff is catered for. Not going to accept mega loads, but neither am I.Easy on and off and fits the cheapo (but great) pannier rack from Tesco direct at £15).I did the spray on waterproofing thing (£shop) and the wd40 pen on the zips, as recommended by other reviewers. The zips have covers over them for each of the 4 compartments. The zips do not look that strong, but I have no intention of overpacking. But at £10 it is a steal! Will

As others have said its not waterproof in medium or heavy rain and its very stiff. It is however pretty durable. I first bought one of these about 6 years ago, used it for a year then stopped cycling until 2 years ago, dug it out and used it ever since. I've loaded it up with 20kg of shopping on a weekly basis. Now the bottom of the two bags is looking a bit threadbare I've purchased another. The new one differs very slightly with the only point of note being that the Velcro straps are a lot longer making it easier to fit (I use two Zip ties across the luggage carrier as a mounting point). An excellent cheap bag and I would buy again in an instant.

Firstly this set of bags is not expensive. Secondly they are really easy to fit (and remove) with simple Velcro. Thirdly there is an easy hand carry handle. Finally insofar as size they are not huge but providing you didn't mind the tops sticking out the main compartments easily fit three bottles of wine/litres of soya milk each. Not huge but sufficient for a trip to the market especially when paired with a basket on the front. In my opinion excellent value for money. The construction is absolutely fine for a fair weather cyclist with modest needs.

This item was quite a little deal.although its not massive in depth its quite wide so there is plenty of storage space. It Just fit my foldaway bike. All the zips are of decent quality just like the material. It has a easy handle in case you need to carry it off.All the zips are covered so water cant get in and it even has small reflectors on the side.it can be held on by multiple (6 total) velcro straps but has cable tie options for a more permanent set up.ALl in all very good value for money, has everything you might expect.

I've had these for a couple of months now and they are just right for me. I go to work sometimes on my bike and I put my lunch. a small bag with purse and phone, plus anything else I need into the panniers. It saves a bag on my back and makes the bike ride more enjoyable. Also put my camera in the pannier when I'm just out for leisure. Following some other advice on here I sprayed them with a waterproofer but haven't been in heavy rain yet so I don't know if that has been successful. Highly recommended though and a good price ...

Cheap and chearful and does the job. This item is by no means a high quality bag and nor was i expecting one at the price i paid, however it does the job and does it well, my wife uses it all the time when she pops to the local super market and grabs a few bits. Each side is big enough to fit a full carrier bag in on each side and the zip works well too as i know many have complained about it but i found it to be fine. The wife also uses it everyday to put her lunch in as she rides to work so all in all a good buy for us.

I was looking for something cheap to carry waterproofs, etc for a long ride with my daughter. The zips and fastenings on these feel a bit cheap, but they did the job. I'm not sure I'd rely on them for a daily commute but I wasn't going to pay the prices for some of the branded models. For anyone who has a Trail-gator tow bar for small children, this still worked fine with these panniers and the Trans-X rack fitted, although I had to force it back into the rear clip a bit when not in use alongside a full pannier.

Best buy I have made for bike accessories nice good size , only been caught in one really heavy shower everything stayed dry , ended buying another pannier for another bike really wished I had bought this one again simply due to the ease of use build quality and brilliant value for money , these are really good , better then most you would buy in bike shops for a tenth of the value , remember the bags are only as good as the rack you put them them on !
