I use many SD cards for my photography but I've steered clear of Micro SD cards in the past as the performance, at least the ones I've tried before, has been lacking. Many phones and tablets (of the non fruit-based variety) can make use of Micro SD so if you have a camera and want pop your photos in there and share right away, Micro SD makes a lot of sense. These same devices can also record 4k natively, so a high performance card is required for that, too.If I'm honest, I'm blown away by the performance of this tiny little card. 4K video doesn't make it break into a sweat. Copying a 1.5GB file to it from my computer to it took just 22sec; a class 10 Sandisk Ultra SD card I tried by comparison, took 1min 22sec. The claimed difference for each card does differ, with the Extreme Micro SD coming in at 90MB/sec vs 80MB/sec for the Ultra SD, but even so, this is a dramatic difference.Popping it into a 42 megapixel camera also saw similarly impressive results. The Ultra SD card managed 34 shots before the buffer stalled the shooting speed yet the Ultra Micro SD went past 84 shots and showed no signs of giving up; I stopped before it gave up. Incredibly impressive.Firstly I should state that to achieve high levels of performance, your gear needs to be able to feed it. The camera I used does 3.5 frames a second, which isn't high but the data-rate at 42 megapixel is huge - 20+ MB per shot. My PC also has an up-to-date SD slot, so can benefit from faster speeds. If you want a super fast Micro SD card that comes with an SD adapter, look no further! Easily 5 stars.

I've used Sandisk micro SD cards regularly, but find myself purchasing another one yet again this happens either because I need one with a larger capacity, or, as is the case now, I have another device that requires a micro SD card. In this instance, I need a new card as I have acquired a Samsung s7.Once you open the packaging, you find a sealed plastic unit box, with the micro SD card and the Adapter. Why I appreciate buying Sandisk:- It comes formatted in exFAT, so it's plug and play- Comes with an SD card Adapter- Constructed to withstand 'shocks', a particularly useful attribute considering its for an action camera- Long and fuss free warrantyI will also add that:- I have yet to suffer anyissues with a Sandisk card- Sandisk's core business is memory and memory cards- Great value for moneyFirst, I will check to determine whether my SD card is indeed genuine. To do this :- Look to ensure that the SD card has both a serial number and the identity of the country of manufacture (in this case, it's on the back of the micro SD cardNext to check the capacity :- Use a program called "H2testw" (it is free) which confirms that real capacity of the SD card (fake SD cards will have a lower capacity, but overwritten so as to display a significantly higher capacity). Finally to check the read / write speed of the card- Use "Crystal Disk Mark"Following above results, I can confirm that mine is a genuine Sandisk micro SD card and is successfully being used in the s7, and in expectation of many years of service ???.

I've never bought 'performance' SD cards before, so I was surprised by the difference this Extreme card offered compared to my class 6 (6mb/s) card - though it shouldn't have been a revelation given that the Extreme has a rated speed of over ten times that of the standard model.Based on writing to and from the card it achieved around 89mb/s read and 47mb/s write speeds on average. These speeds are slightly lower than stated (90/60) but they're fast enough for me.I've used it in two devices: my Sony Z3 Compact phone, and my ancient Panasonic LX5 camera. The phone benefits from noticeably faster loading of media: particularly large files such as videos, and it has made browsing the gallery app much smoother than previously. If you have a phone with a SD slot, I'd argue that the higher price is worth it for a better experience. The camera was a surprise: it's over 5 years old, so I wasn't such it would support a brand new card (with a rating that didn't exist back in 2010) but it worked perfectly. The camera also feels snappier: writing the image after each shot takes a fraction of the time it did with the class 6 card, although I'm not sure the SD interface in the LX5 is even able to take full advantage of the Extreme.Overall: I'm impressed by the Exteme's speed and compatibility.

Cracking memory card. Sure there are cheaper alternatives out there but as other reviewers have detailed, you get what you pay for. When you use something on a daily basis (whether it is active in your mind that you are doing so or not; as is the case here) it is worth paying a premium to make sure that item functions correctly.A lot of users have commented on the read/write speed of this - I haven't gone to the lengths of testing it in such a way that produces an impressive screenshot/any sort of numerical data. That said, I know this functions fantastically in either a high end android phone (when used as additional phone storage space capable of installing apps etc) and, when in the supplied adapater, for expanding the memory of a "cloudbook" (laptop with low internal storage space and heavy cloud reliance).Functions very well. Will stand the test of time. Not obscenely priced at circa £20

Not all memory cards are the same. I have tried several from another popular site which have some very cheap mainly unbranded cards and usually they seem to struggle to read, often make the camera or other equipment freeze or fail to be recognised on the laptop.Scan disk is a known reputable make which is stable and most importantly reliable. This had a great read write time making the pause between record and playback or record and ready for next shot almost instant. Not all equipment can handle the Xtreme range though. My four year old small point and shoot Casio camera couldn't read it and neither could my five year old scanner so do check compatibility with anything that's not relatively new.My Sony action cam loved it as did my Panasonic digital SLR. This card is designed to get the most out of newer devices and do it quickly. Comes with adapter for SD slots. Recommended, five stars.

Installed and used in a GoPro Hero Session Camera and then a Hero 4. Read and write speed are generally quick and transfer speeds seem to be up to the mark especially with 4K.The cards I generally use are quick anyway, two weeks ago I purchased a SanDisk Extreme 64 GB microSDXC Class 10 Memory Card up to 90/40 Mbps with U3 Ratings and I can't tell the difference in performance between the two in a blind real. In real world testing I couldn't really tell that this card had a higher write speed of 60Mbps compared to the other card with an advertised 40Mbps write speed. However as both cards are the now the same price they both represent good value for money.SanDisk cards are generally reliable and long lasting in use.The also tend to have better compatibility than some cards. You'll not go far wrong in choosing this top end card for your top end device.

I bought the SD card for my Go-Pro Hero 5 Black. It has a super fast read and write speed perfect for my Go-Pro. SanDisk only makes the best.Update: The card has failed on me after not much use, I tried formatting the card and it told me that it was write protected so I went online to try and find a solution but anything I tried came to a failed result. I have tried to fix using the registry editor, command prompt and third party programs and none of them was able to remove read only mode. very disappointed. If anyone has any suggestions I would love to try them out. :(Update 2: I am an idiot, The card had not failed it was just my own stupidity,I hadn't switched the switch on the adaptor which was preventing me from formatting the card as obviously that little switch locks the card.

Past experience with DSLR photography and full-size SD cards in Sandisk's Extreme range led me to this micro-SD for my dashcam, They're not the cheapest deal you'll find, but that's what you pay for quality and reliability: in this area of consumer goods, the difference is a few pounds, not a second mortgage.Performing flawlessly from first use, this tiny relation to the older SD cards maintains the standard. Excellent transfer rate means super-fast copying of files between devices and smooth video performance via the reader through a Laptop from the card still in the dashcam. The video recorder itself has likewise not missed a beat with file saving before shut down.Footnote: my camera andoriginal Sandisk Extreme cards - now eight years old - are still performing as new.

Perfect additional storage for my Sony XZ smartphone! I purchased a Sony branded SD card initially, and wondered why the performance on my new phone seemed lacklustre in comparison to my older Sony Z3 Compact! I noticed that the SD card was only a Class 10 card which might be fine for some people as it's not slow, just not even close to the performance of this card. The Sandisk extreme while still displayed as Class 10 In the description is also a UHS 3 Card meaning it is the fastest variant of a micro SD card currently available. If you want to take a lot of photographs quickly and save them to an SD card this is one of the best you can buy!Seriously buy it!Even apps like Spotify which seemed to take an age to load on the Sony SD card, load instantly!

I spent some time understanding what the different speed ratings mean. My smartphone would not benefit from the very highest speed rating available on the market. Therefore this card was an optimal purchase for the price. This card has been no trouble. I am not using 4k video or anything like that, but I am constantly using mp3 files, photographs and so on. This card has worked like a dream. It also boosted my storage by about 500% (Samsung S7), and it was a small price to pay for the privilege. (Still would have liked a 250Gb or 256Gb card but too pricey at time of purchase. Now this new card is full up nearly, I do regret not maxing out on the bigger card, though!

I bought this to replace SanDisk Ultra Android 64 GB microSDXC Class 10 Memory Card which had caused problems in my MotoG 3 smartphone, when used as 'internal' android memory. From time to time sandisk memory became inaccessible until the phone was re-booted. So I thought I would try a smaller, faster, memory card for the phone (and transfer the old 64GB card + holder to my linux laptop, after reformatting). So far the Sandisk extreme card has worked fine but I've only had it for a week. The previous one did not show any problem until I had had it for a few months, so it's too early to tell whether the new one works better in the Moto G. I'll add an update later.

SanDisc have been at the forefront of sd memory cards since forever, but competition hes seen SD card prices plummet and you can now purchase a whopping 64gb for just £21.99 at time of writing. The SanDisc extreme series have a far better chip density making the storage of HD and ultra HD without loss of quality. Micro SD is now the standardised size for most phone and tablets and a simple installation will allow you to massively increase your device storage capacity. The card even comes with the regular SD card converter to make it compatible with laptops and normal SD slots.Total bargain.

Works as intended, no issues whatsoever. I have one for my a New Nintendo 3DS and another for my Nintendo switch. The review would be 5* however just make sure you need the benefits offered by the extreme, and that you won't need more storage space for the SD card. I just bought another 128GB MicroSD card for my Nintendo switch because I was running out of space on this one and after doing some research, it doesn't seem like the extreme benefits are necessary unless you require fast read and write speeds from your micro SD, the ultra line should do you fine in any other case.

Although it may seem a bit expensive compared to similar products on the market, this is worth every penny as it is superior quality and very easy to use. My phone and laptop recognised the item imediately, unlike other similar products, and very fast to transfer data, no freezing. Only negative apart from price wich could be a bit less expensive, is that I bought a 64 Gb card and has less than 60 Gb on it. I know they are slightly smaller in capacity than advertised but almost 5 Gb of space lacking is quite a lot. All in all I have no problem in recomending it.
