This is a great game for the wii, i've seen someone play dynasty warriors before, so i can say it's pretty much that, it's got quite a lot of options to keep one playing, most characters have a different story line, all story lines have a few chapters, and most chapters start or end with videos that sets a nice atmosphere while playing, there's an option to set the spoken languages to either english or japanese (personally i prefere the japanese voices, but i do admit it's harder to understand while you're in the battlefield even though it's got a bunch of subtitles, it's hard to fight and read at the same time)you don't start off with all the characters, so you earn rice to unlock characters, there's several playmodes, story, free, a castle mode and history, i haven't been able to try the online feature cause i have unstable wireless internet.it can be played using all wii controllers, nunchuck, classic and gamecube controllers which i find is pretty coolthe difficulty settings are also quite well balanced, easy is quite easy, you slash through most enemies with ease, some missions that require you to defend an ally and force you to beat an opponent can still be quite tricky, and it's very hard to beat all the tactical bonuses in a round, so while it seems easy, you can't always wonder off aloneonce you beat story mode once you get a 4th difficulty setting too, and i've tried it once, and i ended up dying after 3 hits, so even for hardcore gamers it'll be a nice gamei honostly can't really find a down side to this game...maybe camera controll, but i never really bothered much about that cause you'll find yourself slashing away in massive enemy armies most of the time anywaygood fun and i gave this game a 5 star rating because of that, i've played it for almost 20 hours and i only did 6 story lines so far, with many more to follow.definitely recommended to any wii owner

and what I got did not disappoint. I am a fan of the Dynasty Warrior series though I have not bought every single iteration of them. They were always mindless fun and you even learned a bit if you took things with a grain of salt. My original XBoxs had finally died, I don't play my PS2 much anymore as i didn't like getting dropped a few times, so I looked to what was available for my built like a Nokia Wii.I was pleasantly surprised to see this there. I got the hack and slash that I wanted, a historical mode that gave a timeline of events, and Murasame Castle mode, which offered a nice challenge (so much so I needed my kid to help with some of the levels). On top of that, and mind it has been a while since I bought a Warriors game so this may not be new, Tactical Objectives during missions. Completing these gave various bonuses and made it to where I had to plan a bit on what I was going to kill first.I've read some complaint on lag and the Wii not being able to show everything properly, but for me at least, lag didn't happen often. Also the majority of the time I would see 50+ enemies on the screen, even with 2 players that was still at least 25 each. Sometimes they would fade out, but not enough to where I would say it was worse that the early XBox, PS2 releases of the games.Sure, some of the weapons are way out there, a cannon spear for example, and yes, the voice acting is laughable, but there is just something about these games that bring me back often enough to enjoy them every time.

A nice addition to the Samurai Warriors club. When binge playing, you WILL get bored of some of the repetitive maps that turn up but it should be expected with so many intertwined story lines. There are some new additions to the character list but a few that have been taken out only to be used out of story mode (so they don't get their own set of levels and stories to travel through). Tends to center more on the era after Nobunaga and sometimes we've found the arcs to seem quite short. You're not going to get state of the art graphics here - it's on Wii - but the controls start feeling more natural as time goes on and the console keeps up well enough with the amount of people on the screen at one time.Good enough to tide you over.

This game is amazing, being a really great Japanese battle game. The game, I believe, is set in 1600 in Japan and it really tells you a lot of what it was like then so it is also educational, telling you about the Japanese leaders and their power struggle. When you play the game it is thrill-packed with ninja skill, samurai sword and Kung Fu fighting. You can be many different charactors or create your own with a number of weapons of your choice. Then you go through a set story, depending on your character, until you have united Japan. The game play is great, the capabilities are fantastic and my only criticism is that though it has a multi-player facility, you cannot fight against each other.AMAZING GAME - BUY IT NOW!!!!!

The game play is a little slower than in previous Samurai Warrior games but the pretty graphics make up for that. If you are a fan of the first two games or any of the Dynasty Warrior games then this should be a slum dunk for you. You can use the nunchuck, classic, or gamecube controller systems to play this game. Hours of fun game play and tons of cool characters make this game nice buy. All in all it gets a 9 out of 10.

I purchased this game as a present for a family member. The game arrived quickly (during a busy Christmas period) and was in very good condition (as to be expeced for a new game). The recipient of the game loves playing on it and I have also joined in on the multi-player function (though the screen divide does complicate the game a little). Overall, a fun game and good seller - I am a happy customer.

this game is utterly brilliant, takes a long time to complete and there's always something to do, but this game does depend if you like button mashing as well as strategic (sort of) game, its so good. Being a fan of Dynasty warriors which this is a spin off of that game, just being set in Japan's history instead of China's history.

Actually arrived on time, not used to that, the last thing I ordered on Amazon, as a Christmas gift never showed up. In review spirit, this game was great, true to the Koei Warriors games series, good story, bad voice acting lol. Overall great.

The kids like this game. They were into the other ones and now they are into this one. That's one reason Nintendo is still in business
