Like most people, when we got a 3D TV we were really excited and we imagined that from then on, almost everything we watched would be in amazing 3D. However, our (then) new (Panasonic Plasma - which shows how long ago we bought these glasses) TV didn't actually come with any glasses so we were itching to get some to revel in this amazing technology.Official Panasonic glasses were very expensive indeed at the time, in fact ridiculously so. I did buy one pair that I thought I'd got a good deal on from an auction site (secondhand), but I needed two more pairs so we could all enjoy 3D together. The reviews on here led me to these. These glasses are really excellent.Unlike my official Panasonic ones which were rechargeable - these use a coin type battery. While at first glance you might be tempted to think that rechargeable would be better as it's "free" to charge - they are actually a pain because I used to often find that when I wanted to use them, the charge in the glasses was dead. At least with battery powered glasses, you have a better idea of where you are up to and the batteries have, in my experience, lasted for AGES - literally years. These are also absolutely fine when worn over glasses and because they are so lightweight, you barely notice any additional bulk. I have read complaints about the arms breaking but I haven't had an issue with this and they seem to have been perfectly fine on a variety of different sized heads. Both pairs were easy to set up (by inserting the battery - which was included) and they are very lightweight and therefore extremely comfortable. The 3D effect is absolutely as good as the official Panasonic ones as well. The only issue with these is that we have found the 3D to be of very limited appeal due to few movies really taking full advantage of the technology and with 4K televisions now being the normal, the idea of having 3D is increasingly unlikely to ever become mainstream as the idea is that the ever increasing resolution will make everything seem like 3D by default. I do have a few 3D movies and video files and these do work really well in some cases, but the fact is that 3D hasn't really taken off in a way that we were led to believe it would 3 or 4 years ago (back when there the BBC did a 3D broadcast of Wimbledon for example). That's a shame because personally, I really like the technology. However, if you need 3D active shutter glasses and these are compatible with your TV then I would absolutely recommend them. Just over £10 per pair is great value, and at this price, it's worth picking up a few pairs even if you only use them once every few months.

These were the glasses supplied with our F8000 TV. They work very well and I quickly ordered another two pairs for the family. They come very well protected, with transparent plastic covers for the front and back of each lens. They are easily removed by way of the tabs attached. The implication is that the lenses can be scratched, so I have taken to putting the glasses back into the bags supplied when not in use.The glasses take coin batteries: easy to install. There is a small (rather fiddly but it works) press button switch on the top to turn them on. Have your 3D source running before switching on as they need to synchronise with the TV.If you are wearing the glasses when you switch on you will see them cut in by virtue of an apparent reduction in the ambient light of the room. This is because they are active shutter glasses with one lens at a time being 'open'. Another check that they are working is to look at a light: you will see a slight flickering effect.I had wondered whether the active shutter technology might induce headaches. I am pleased to report that, for me at least, there is no evidence of that.In terms of comfort, they are lightweight and large enough to be worn over a pair of prescription spectacles. The 3D effect is not diminished by this. The acid test, of course, is how well they work at generating a 3D effect, and the answer in that they are superb. The depth of vision that I have seen far exceeded my expectations. So, in terms of comfort and effectiveness these glasses are superb. The only aspect on which I cannot yet comment is battery life, but the batteries are not expensive. I am looking forward to more and more 3D releases: five stars.Update (Jan 2014). I have been receiving queries: will these glasses work work my .... set? I am very nervous about giving a yes or no answer that I haven't actually tested so here's as much info as I can give, taken from the Samsung manual. The glasses communicate with Samsung 3D TVs on the 2.4GHz RF band. They can be used with Samsung D, E and F series 3D TVs released in 2011 to 2013 or with 3D TVs that have the logos specified. The logos carry the descriptions "Full HD 3D glasses" and also carry the RF and IR symbols (or just RF). The "Full HD 3D glasses" logo signifies compatibility between display products and 3D glasses that are compliant with the Full HD 3D glasses format.I hope this helps.

Brilliant, it was a choice of buying generic Active 3D glasses or these and decided to go for a brand name. Yes, the arms are a bit 'delicate' but probably the same on most 3D glasses, just take a bit of care putting them on & off and I use an old shoe box to store 4 pairs (use foam or bubble wrap for padding) and I always remove the batteries for when not in use.Any hassle? Nope, just paired them up with my Sony 50" (807C)...just in case, you know to pair them within 10cm of the TV? and a pop-up message appears to confirm connection and after that, no problems watching films such as Avatar (has to be the first film and still fantastic). The only downside is that the picture is very very slightly darkened (just minimal),but if you're watching a film with no room lights on (or dimmed down as recommended) then no problems. As of writing this, (although there is a setting on the Sony 3D menu where you can adjust the quality of picture & depth, and I've done this) but I didn't consider adjusting the contrast, brightness or whatever settings on the TV...but as said, it didn't ruin the experience so no biggie. They are light and fitted over my ordinary glasses OK.I read some reviews (here and online) about the glasses giving battery strength and such, and they probably do on Samsung TV's but my glasses are not used that much (well, how many times do you watch 3D films) and so, I'm sure the battery will last a wee while yet. If, or when, I get to that stage, then it's just a matter of popping a new battery in then coming back here to add to this review.Wrapping up, I had no difficulty pairing these to my Sony Active 3D TV but just handle the glasses with care. Yes, the design could have been better for a stronger frame / arms but maybe they were designed to be light and for those people that wear everyday glasses. They work, end off.

DELIVERYThis item, ordered through prime, arrived promptly and when needed. Unfortunately, at some point either during delivery or possibly before the box that housed the glasses had been crushed. Luckily the product was in tact but still it did not seem all that professional and could have been worse so maybe better packaging is needed.BUILD QUALITY & COMFORTThese glasses are made from very thin plastic and at first glance don’t appear to be well made. They almost look the kind of quality you would expect from a throw away pair of passive 3D glasses. However, the reason for this quickly becomes apparent as soon as you put them on your face. The thin plastic makes them incredibly light and the flexibility of the plastic arms means that the arms are very comfortable when wearing them. Actually these are some of the most comfortable 3D glasses I have ever used and after a few minutes it is easy to forget I was even wearing them. That being said though, it is still quite disappointing that you can’t fold the glasses away to store them.VISUAL QUALITYYou really can’t fault the quality of the image these glasses help produce. They sync instantly with the TV and don’t lose sync no matter how long they are used. Best of all they work just as well in well lit spaces as they do with low lighting so overall it is a big thumbs up for this.OVERALL VERDICTOverall these glasses do exactly as they promise. They deliver excellent 3D images when used in conjunction with a Samsun 3D TV. However, in spite of how well they work as well as how comfortable they are they have to loose a star in the rating simply because of the build quality and the crushed packaging.Still, for the price I can happily recommend.

I bought 2 of these glasses to use with my Epson EH-TW6100 projector. I worried a bit if it will work but it does just great.- The glasses get paired with the PJ instantly (probably even faster than Epson's own glasses that go with the PJ). So I really believe they should work with any device that is marked with FullHD 3D RF (I'm not responsible if it does not work for you though :))- 3D picture quality is perfect, the same as with the original glasses.- I can put them on top of my ordinary spectacles and feel pretty comfortable. In fact I virtually don't feel them.- The price is really awesome.2 things that could be better though and this is why I prefer Epson's glasses and this is why I would recommend these Samsung glasses mainly for guests:- The glasses are very open on sides. This is not a big deal in dark environment but in light room it distracts a bit.- The glasses do not fold. The only option is to detach the sides and attach them back when you are going to use them again - not very convenient. The glasses are not rechargeable, work from 1 CR-2025 battery. I don't think this is a big problem (or problem at all) unless you are gonna use them for 5-10 hours every day.Overall - Great value for money. If I need more 3D glasses this would be my first option.

Having recently purchased a 32" Samsung 3d TV, I made sure to purchase these glasses at the same time (I was very much aware that Samsung do not include the glasses with any TV under 40") I was lucky to find these in the warehouse deals section, meaning I wouldn't have to pay full price for something that, in all honesty should have come in the box. I realise however that this is Samsung's fault and is no reflection on Amazon. The glasses themselves work well, battery installation is a little fiddly but easy enough once you have done it the first time. They pair with the TV well and the actual 3D picture is very good.Few little niggles, they tend to get quite grubby and are difficult to clean.Though Samsung include a cleaning cloth the lenses are small and don't feel very sturdy so it can be a little disconcerting to attempt to rub hard to clean the marks off. Also, the battery life isn't the best, after only watching a few films the TV started the show the battery levels as in the red. However I have noticed that this fluctuates a lot and therefore can not be relied on for a true reading.Overall, if you have a Samsung 3D TV you will need these glasses. They definitely do work and make watching 3D films at home easy and enjoyable.

These glasses do the job for those of us with discontinued TVs that support them, but they're likely to break in a light breeze due to the poorly thought through connection between the lens frame and the detachable arms.I've had four pairs in the past, and they've all broken at the arm/frame connection. They're super light, very comfortable, and wrap around your temples without pinching or squeezing - which is useful for frames that don't have foldable arms and are built as one-size-fits-all. But in doing so, the arms flex every time you put them on, and you don't need to be an engineer to realise that the stress point is the flimsy clip that holds the arms to the frames. These are massively overpriced at RRP considering this fundamental design floor.Every seller knows how painful this product is to support, and I don't think Samsung will have ever made any money off these as every pair I've had has been refunded as faulty without hesitation from sellers in the past.Find them cheap on sale, and enjoy the suspense of wondering whether this time will be the last time you wear them.

Work perfectly with my SONY KDL43W807CSU ( android W80C ) tv, which is just as well as the sony glasses are almost 5x more expensive and not available anyway. They are light and easy to use - just play some 3D content - press and hold the button for a couple of seconds to pair. There is no interface as such for pairing on the sony tv - its all kinda automatic. After that just press once to turn on or off, the light goes green when it comes on - red when it goes off. No idea about battery life as I've only watched one movie so far. They don't fold up or have any carry case - but they are only £11 quid each. they do come well packed - the arms just snap in, the lenses have protectors on you have to remove to watch with. The battery is easily fitted and a pack of 12 only cost £4. I've not tried them over my glasses yet - only with contact lenses. You really don't notice you have them on after a few seconds.I found the 3D effect with these active glasses to be much better than the passive effect you get in the cinema - its more about depth than things popping out of the screen.

In the past I thought stick with LG as don't get me wrong their products are wonderful I have a Plasma 3D smart TV 50'' and its brilliant and a Phillips 3D blu ray player but when I had the 3D glasses for the LG and they are not cheep the 3D wasn't that good so I took a risk and got these and trust me you will not be disappointed in them. When I had the LG glasses they were good but I found that watching a movie with them that after charging them all night they would last one movie and that was it. These on there other hand have a battery in them and I got some battery's for them 12 for £2.99 and I have watched a few 3D things and they haven't needed a new battery as yet.The 3D is wonderful Iwas so amazed how the TV said as soon as you put them on and press the on switch how it knows they are there, so if your thinking about getting these and you don't have a Samsung TV 3D then get them they blow the socks off the other brands out there and what a brilliant prices as well

I bought two pairs of glasses for use with my new 50in LG Smart 3D TV. Despite being a Samsung product there was no problem linking then with my LG and they work perfectly. Press the on button whilst within a few feet of the TV and they pair up almost immediately. They are not rechargeable but run on inexpensive and easy to find button batteries. They are light and reasonably comfortable to wear. Battery life seems good and after watching several feature length films we are still on the original batteries.A slight criticism is that they are fully open at the sides and even in a low lit room this does let in some distracting light hence only 4 stars. At this price though, it is difficult to be too critical.A further issue I have, although I suspect it would be the same with other glasses, is that energy saving or LED bulbs appearing to flicker. This can be quite distracting at times. All in, I'm pleased with the glasses and can recommend them with the caveats above.

I got these type of glasses with my latest tv purchase and was very pleased with them straight away.Luckily as I already knew what type I wanted it meant no looking around trying to find the best ones that work with my tv.These glasses are very light as the battery is on the front above the nose bridge and I've worn these quite a lot without any discomfort. They sync up to the tv very easily with the press of the little button on the front and turn off when 3d is turned off so no having to turn each one off individually. My son has worn them and he doesn't have any issues with them either. The price on amazon is the cheapest around the whole www for this type and my friends who also have 3d tells say they think that these are better then the rechargeable ones they have. The battery's really do seem to last along time and the battery type needed can be bought for a very cheap price.I prefer having these battery type ones compared to having to recharge each pair.

I live with my daughter so both are being used. Both are still as good as new and the batteries that came with the glasses have allowed us to watch Wrath Of The Titans 3D, Dredd 3D and Jumper 3D without them needing to be changed for the spare Duracell i bought to accompany them. My Samsung H6200 says the battery is dead (The telly first saw them as fully charged and green.) but the glasses still work perfect. If the battery level on the telly is accurate then these batteries should have ran out by the time we finished watching Dredd because since the end of that film it has said that both batteries are dead.We went on to watch Jumper with what the telly said was dead batteries without a hiccup. My only complaints with them are that the arm bits feel like they're about to break and they don't fold away. If you need active glasses these are great but like another person said, try and watch in a dark room or at night because light does leak in from the sides.

Operation of these active 3D glasses is simple, pair with the TV and they sync with the 3D display very quickly. I found them to be stable, very light for active glasses which produce an effective 3D display. switching on the glasses requires one push of the switch on the top of the glasses, you see the led light green for a short period of time, if not the glasses need re-pairing which requires the switch to be held down close to the TV until the TV reports that pairing is complete, the TV display also reports the condition of the 3D glasses battery. To switch the glasses off, which is recommended to preserve battery life requires one push of the switch the led lights up red for a short period of time. The glasses stems don't fold and give the impression of being very flimsy. For me one major draw-back is light bleeding from the sides of the glasses, wider stems would have prevented this, so it's advisable to watch 3D content in a darkened room.

These are exactly the same as the glasses that come with the original Samsung TV.Given that, they are a perfect match and you're getting exactly what you're expecting.I've not compared them to other makes, but the design isn't perfect though. The fixed arms are an irritation, as it makes storage awkward. You can't easily disassemble them either as they are 'snap-in' items. They sit quite a way off your face, possibly to accommodate spectacle wearers, which isn't a problem per-se, but does feel 'wrong' if you're expecting them to be a bit like sunglasses. Which they are to a degree. The battery life isn't fabulous either. Watch a couple of films and you can lose what looks like 20-30% from the battery icon on the screen. This may be mis-information from the glasses and I've not run them down to test just how long they last though.Overall they do the job perfectly, and at this price there's no reason not to have an extra pair.

We received two pairs of these glasses with our TV when we bought it so bought these identical ones when we needed a spare. They work very well and are comfortable to wear over my glasses. I cannot fault their function and quality but if I needed a pair to wear without them having to go over glasses, I might consider a different design because these are not comfortable for my son to wear and we can't find any in a child's size that are compatible with our tv. A different, more conventional glasses shaped pair might be preferable for a child to wear if they have to wear adult sized glasses. My son is 4 and will not watch 3D films because these glasses are so uncomfortble for him. They have a strange centre of gravity because the battery is over the bridge of the nose and the ear pieces are so lightweight. As I said, for an adult they are perfectly functional and comfortable but not for anyone smaller.
