I am really impressed with this small activity tracker’s capability. I will do my best to describe my opinion and experience with the Gear fit 2 pro. If you don’t want to read my long review, you can skip to the pros and cons. It’s hard to understand all of the other bad reviews. I understand that many of them may have had faults but I have not experienced any of these problems. I purchased this from the USA as it was much cheaper there. From Amazon.com it was only 150$. The shipping costs were quite a lot but still cheaper than buying in the U.KI can firmly say that so far I have been satisfied with my purchase. There is no reason for me to demote a star from the rating because I have had no major problems.I have had other smart watches in the past but this has to top the list. It isn’t quite as fancy as the Samsung Gear Sport, gear S3 or Apple Watch but for the price, that is totally forgivable. I bought the TomTom Spark 3 before at the same price as this and the Gear fit 2 pro completely dominates. It has many top of the range features such as Offline Spotify (you can’t get elsewhere), gps, heart rate, water-proofing and super Amoled display. It is missing a couple of cool features such as NFC payments and a speaker built-in but again, for the price that can’t be expected.Having Offline music and especially Spotify, is a game-changer. It has 4gb of storage built-in which should be more than enough for music on your watch. Compared to the Gear Sport, the Gear fit 2 pro doesn’t have many apps for it but honestly most of the apps from Times are useless. This watch should have all you need without downloading any extra apps, though you can add watch faces and screensavers which is cool.At first I was a bit skeptical of Speedo On. I wondered why Samsung needed Speedo to track swimming which Samsung could already do. I slowly realised that the real gem was Speedo’s technology. It is really advanced and tracks you swimming in better ways than the stock Samsung app. It can detect stroke types and give detailed feedback. It makes much more sense to me now. Instead of Samsung pouring precious resources into this department they use Speedo’s famous brand to create a really great tool. I use Speedo’s swim programs all the time which are great. They are written by the world’s best swimmers and make my swims much more beneficial. I was taking lane coaching lessons but I stopped when I realised that these programs were doing more good than the coach. It is really great being able to connect the watch to the programs. It means that you can see the program on your watch which is so much better. For these reasons I now love Speedo On.I’ll be honest. The heart rate monitor isn’t as accurate as others out there or compared to a chest strap but it will more than do. It will be fine for most for the likes of running and cycling but not weight-training or anything with little body movement. It is amazing to be able to use the heart-rate monitor while swimming ? Even though Apple accomplished that with their Apple Watch 2, not many other companies have latched onto that idea. For any swimmers, this is so useful. This, for me, sets this Watch away from a lot of other competition.Pros:Small trackerLooks coolGreat battery life (4-5 days)WaterproofCollaboration with Speedo On (I use it all the time)TouchscreenNice interfaceChangeable watch facesOffline SpotifyWiFi built-inSupports all notificationsReply to notifications from WatchEasy-to-readCons:Many people describe their problems (I haven’t had any)No speakerNo NFCSpotify requires membershipPoor app selection with TizenAs you can see, I have included many more advantages than disadvantages and that is for good reasons. I find this activity tracker better than most on the market. It isn’t quite the best but for all you get, it is so hard to beat it. If I haven’t convinced you and you’re looking for alternatives to this I could recommend the Samsung Gear Sport as that is very similar to this but just eliminates many of the disadvantages. I could also recommend the Huawei Watch 2 but I wouldn’t advise it over this. I have loved this watch for as long as I’ve had it and I hope you find it as good for you.

Using it mainly for tracking runs, but have also used it during daytime as a step tracker too and it seems to work really well. For battery life - if I take it on a run during the day (running for 45mins-1hr, using GPS, heart rate monitor and bluetooth to listen to music) it will normally take about 25% off the battery... It will then easily last the day for me. Screen only comes on when you raise your wrist to look at it, and it's definitely the screen that uses most of the battery. If I don't do any runs (just using as a watch with extra notifications), then it lasts 2 days before needing a re-charge,which I am fine with and is better than the TicWatch E I tried very briefly (battery seemed to be terrible on that).I love the design too - it looks more like the smaller activity trackers, but manages to deliver all the extras I was after: built in GPS (no more taking a phone with you!), bluetooth (can stream downloaded spotify playlists or mp3s you can upload onto it from your phone) and the heart rate monitor too... Super happy with it, as I never expected battery life to be >2 days having experienced the TicWatch E and seen friend's Apple Watches deliver the same or worse. And it's waterproof - went for a swim with it this morning.

Nice gear, but to know what I know now, I would look elsewhere. Battery live (only bluetooth on, gps and wi-fi off) is 1 day only, or to switch it to power saving mode. But what really makes me never buy Samsung tracker again is that it ONLY communicates with Samsung Wear / Samsung health. So you can forget to use google fit. Or google maps as navigation. Or any google services in generall. Only apps selected by Samsung work. Plus with battery live only one day it means to take special charger with you anywhere you go to stay overnight. If you can live with the above - it's comfortable, nice screen, it detects all sorts of excercise, you name it, waterproof (they say).Really I only miss the google services working with it. (phone samsung note 9)Update after 2 months: it's nice gear. Still not happy I have to use Samsung health app and not google fit, but heyhoo. The battery after 2 weeks of using now lasts for 48+ hours in smartwatch mode. It's great. It does detect when I sit on a pushbike and records activity, but only time. If you want your cycling to record all (heart beat, gps etc.) you have to manualy start cycling activity in the watch. Which I not always remember. But overall - nice gadget.

I bought this because my main workout is swimming and there aren’t that many waterproof wearables on the market. Have been besieged by problems and have sent one back because there was such a discrepancy between the number of lengths it measured and the number I swam. It does have a Speedo On app, which is much more accurate but it DOES NOT connect with the Gear apps on your phone. Some folk don’t mind this but I like the Samsung Health app to include calorie intake and use. The Gear’s own app does send the data but, so far, I reckon, it underestimates the number of lengths and calories used. For all other workouts it is great and it calculates your basal calorie use, which is fun.The Floor level app is hit and miss. It doesn’t recognise our stairs unless I lift my arm high up on the landing or climb a small step ladder! Also I go too slowly after my knee replacement op and it expects a brisk pace up those too shallow stairs. Very tempted to take it back but it’s got just enough positive points for me to keep it.

Looks great, really easy to pair with my Samsung phone, the choice of display faces is a really nice addition as you can change the face to suit your mood or situation. The only real downside that I have found so far (I have had this watch for three days) is you need to charge on a daily basis and I would think that if I where to download music onto the device and play from there the battery life would not last the day.But on the plus side it only takes just over an hour to charge.Additionally I have had this now for just over a week and apart from having to charge on a daily basis it is very reluctant to register stairs.I tested this by going up and down the stairs twenty times and the watchrecorded one set of stairs!

Everything about this watch is quality. The screen is superb, you can customize the menus in any way you want, you can add apps, link in with accounts such as Strava, you can navigate both ways through the two menus (one for apps and settings, the other for workouts and health data) and you can reorder all the things in the menus to suit, both on the phone and in the app.Download the health app and it works seamlessly. The vibrate for alerts is a good solid vibrate and you cannot miss it.My only minor gripe is the battery. You will get two solid days out of it, a bit longer would have been better.I have tried a few of these type of bands and this is easily the best and worth the money.

I personally went for this watch over the more expensive Samsung watches as i only really wanted it for training and i think the faces on most smart watches are too big. For what you pay i think you get good value for money, good battery life, good features and a good sleep tracker. If you connect this to Samsung health on you phone you can use it to track caffeine intake, water intake, food intake, weight management, exercise, heartbeat and sleep. I wish I had bought this sooner as its helped me a lot with my fitness and food tracking and i really like how when you have been inactive for too long it gives you quick exercises to do, very helpful if you work in an office all day.

I bought it yesterday, one day delivery from amazon, and I have to say I am impressed. It looks great, the curved screen is amazing and the fact that I can go now to run , listening spotify offline playlists is outstanding. Out of curiosity I went to the swimming pool in London (Baker Street Fitness First) and I was really surprised how well the speedo app measures the exercise in the pool.so far, great purchase. I have had 3 fitbits so far (last one the charge HR) and I was happy with them, but this band is other dimension. It feels like a smartwatch band , you have apps, can see whatsup, spotify, everythingA must

I'm loving the Samsung Gear Fit 2 PRO, beautiful screen, quality strap and stunning looking.Easy setup with Gear application on your phone (works on any Android smartphone, did not try it with iPhone).Battery lasts 3 days with everything except GPS turned on.Heart rate monitor is fairly accurate, it missed by 5-6 heartbeats.Only minus i could find is that Tizen does not have much applications for this watch, but on fitness side it has everything, from running (outdoor or treadmill), walking, hiking, sleep tracking, swimming, even golf tracking (but i don't golf so i don't know how accurately it tracks that).

25.7.2018

It's really great. I have stopped using the linked endmondo app and speedo app and started using the built in one. I thought in a year when the free trial runs out i didn't want to have my data in an app I was not going to use. The battery is great and can last 3 days, but I tend to keep it charged up say for 30 minute before bed each night. I have an S8 and it links really well, the Samsung app is a bit clunky and needs a better interface but it's not the end of the world. I can't comment on accuracy or compare to other devices.

Only had this for three days but so far I love it. It fits well, looks good and i've had no issues. Been out for a run and the GPS locked on within about 30 seconds. There was about 30m difference between this and Strava on the same route. I've hooked it up to my wireless headphones and listened to Spotify playlists with no problems. It's so nice to go running without my phone!!!Haven't swum with it yet but have submerged it in water with no issues.HR monitor seems pretty accurate.Very happy and will update in a few moths.

Incredibly comfortable and lightweight. Vibrant screen. Works well, and is quite accurate in step-count, although I notice the heart-rate monitor can be a little off (as expected with a watch). Battery is fine, although no more than two days, especially if you use it for exercise tracking and music. Noticed a few times it's announced that I am cycling when I've actually been driving, which is annoying, but easy to solve by turning off the automatic detection.

Great health tracker and doesn't take up half your arm like so may others. Been using it for almost 2 months and its with me 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Only thing I would change is the battery life - 2 days coverage, using it with the gps and health tracking functions. Not bad but other brands are slightly longer. Not a major issue but on ether could improve on. Otherwise robust and stylish tracker that does everything I need. Would recommend to others.

If you have a Samsung phone then this is the watch/tracker for you.No other watch syncs properly with S health. It tracks steps and exercise, as well as you getting your texts and WhatsApp etc etc. Phone calls show too. It tracks your sleep really well too.It lets you know when you have been sitting too long and to get up and move.Happy with this. Had no issues with it falling off as I had read.

30.7.2018

I like it but my biggest bug with this is the lack of integration with maps. So when you are out on a cycle the watch does not give you directions and if you are listening to an audio book google maps doesn't give you the voice over route so it would have been perfect if you could get an arrow on here telling you where to go.Other than that, it works well and is comfortable
