I bought this item previously on Amazon (New) from another listing. Therefore, I copied the review here with some changes to reflect this purchase.Samsung Galaxy S5 SIM-Free Smartphone Genuine UK Stock - BlackSold by: Amazon WAREHOUSE£187.53Condition: USED- Very GoodBought in mid-2017I was slightly concerned on the model type of the phone- whether it was the genuine UK/Europe stock (G900F). I contacted Amazon about this and they confirmed it is the G900F model. I was also concerned about the level of “used”- any wear and tear damage, etc. Amazon assured me I’d have 30 days to return if it’s not up to my standard. So I placed the order. The phone came in a genuine box, with some stickers on the box.I was happy to see that the phone was in great condition. No marks at all. Genuine headphones supplied with ear buds, USB charger cable… As I looked through the box contents, I was shocked to see that the charger adapter was NOT a UK 3pin. A 2pin charger was supplied! I was quite sad and it was a shame because everything else was perfect…I contacted Amazon and they said they can do partial refund so I can buy a UK adapter or have a full refund. I opted for partial refund.I checked that the phone was genuine (sticker in the back of the phone where the battery goes in) as well as the software (see pic). The software was an old version of Android (KitKat). I updated it to the latest Android version, which took some time.Comparing the phone with the S5 I bought from Amazon 2 years ago, I was concerned about 3 things:-The charger adapter was not UK 3 pin-The charger port cover seemed ‘fake’ and did not fit properly into the phone. Compared to the original, the back is not translucent black. (see pic)-The back cover of the phone seemed ‘fake’. It didn’t have that rubbery feeling and it didn’t fit on the phone properly. These issues were minor for me. Adapter was sorted. I replaced the charge port cover via YouTube guidance and the back cover wasn’t important as I had a phone case. This purchase was £100 cheaper than the new one I bought in 2015. Not bad.RECOMMENDATIONS (which this phone has)-Do your research. Know what you are buying. Compare other phones, focusing on specs.-Android Operating System. I'm an iPhone convert. I believe Android is better- more customisable and more 'free'. iPhone (IOS) /Apple is not worth it.-Minimum 5inch screen display. The S5 is 5.1inch. Not too big and not too small. Fits in pocket. Good size for everyday tasks including watching videos. The S5 has a Super AMOLED touchscreen.-Full HD (1080x1920) display. Best quality display= good user experience.-Minimum 6MP camera. The S5 has 16MP. The higher it is the better quality the images/videos would be. However, A LOT of memory is used up. So I changed the camera settings set at 6MP for images and 2.4MP for video.-Minimum 16GB internal memory. 4.2GB out of 16GB is used for the system (Operating System, etc.) There is a 32GB version of the S5 and its definitely something to look into.-SD-card compatible of up to 128gb. Easily remove and transport data from various devices. This is a must as the internal memory is limited.-Minimum 2GB RAM. It's actually 1.7GB usable RAM. This is the ability to multitask. At idle, it runs at 1.2GB. It would have been better if it was 3GB. The S5 still runs smoothly.-A Quad-Core CPU @ 2GHz with a Snapdragon Chipset. Process data/tasks quickly. Quad-Core is better than Dual-Core. Higher "@ __GHz" means faster processing. The S5 is 2.5GHz. And the latest chipset series is the Snapdragon series.-Speaker/audio with a 3.5mm audio jack.-Wi-fi feature. A must.-At least 2500mAh battery. The higher it is, the more charge it can hold. The S5 is 2800mAh. The battery life is ok, although I charge it every day.-Water resistant. You never know, you might drop your phone where you least expect it!-The S5 has a fingerprint scanner on the home button. It works but I don't use it.-Budget under £300. Smartphones are ridiculously expensive these days. You can get a good phone for under £300-Minimum 2 years warranty. The S5 has 2 years with the 1st year being with Amazon (you would have to contact Amazon after 30 days if you need help).-Buy from "Dispatched and Sold by Amazon". Avoid any other sellers, including sellers that are fulfilled by Amazon. Reduce the chance of getting a defect. It would also be an easy process with Amazon if something was to go wrong. Majority of the 1* reviews are based on other sellers (such as sellers from Hong Kong)- customers getting fakes, etc.I didn't go for the S6 because it was more expensive than the S5, and I believed it wasn't worth it. No memory card and battery not removable- like an iPhone. S5 was just ideal. Has everything. I expect the S5 to last at least 5 years.I’ve had the phone for couple of months now and it’s been serving me well.Great product. Packaged well and delivered well on time.100% recommended.Any questions regarding about this item, please leave a comment and I'll try to get back to you ASAP.I would really appreciate it if you marked this review as helpful or not so that I can improve my future reviews.

So far I have owned two Samsung phones both of them S3 models one of them a mini. Life span is always impossible to guess but I've been lucky. Now that the S3 mini runs a bit slow, I upgraded to this S5 and boy what a lovely phone. It's an old model but that doesn't bother me if it does the job well. The camera is pretty good too. Easy to set up and it almost did itself. Phone was up and going with Calls Text and MMS and I was able to port all my address book phone numbers list onto the previous SIM card so they didn't get lost. However when imported into the S5 it only had name field and number field so I had to copy some numbers so as to get a chance to create extra fields such as address andemail address and a field for Notification tone to Assign certain ring tones to the incoming person's text message or call. The phone wouldn't allow me to add fields to addresses on the SIM card. That was very annoying. As usual with Samsung the User Manual even the huge one on pdf download was short of many things I needed to know - but a quick search on the web and I found solutions to these common niggles that all Samsung owners have. How to import a ring tone to add to the list which was short of a few that were on the old phone. How to add an mp3 file of your own to the ringtone list etc. Very remiss of Samsung not to include information like that in the User Guide. A number of intrusive apps had to be zapped as I don't happen to want a personal magazine subscription free or otherwise thank you. But I'm well practiced even at my age in the art of hiring and firing apps. The phone has large clear text and very good photo quality. Screen is responsive in the right way. Sound tone on speech is excellent.Connecting to home WiFi was a simple matter of knowing the password. So I conclude that this is a good phone and well worth the price.

Bought second hand from WorldofMobileHad this phone about a month now from when it was bought. Bought it as "good" condition (out of average, good, really good and excellent) and I would have rated the phone as really good - excellent.Phone arrived with some battery so could be used and set up right away, and included a full start up set including a decent black leather case I am still using, screen protector, stylus, headphones (not the best quality but a great touch) and sim adaptors (which weren't used so can't comment on the quality). To me that was a really great touch to come with the phone and saved having to mess around with all the extra purchases that comes with buying a new phone. On the condition of the phone, the phone itself was in great condition with only minor scratches/dents that were competely unnoticable unless looking for them. The screen was in great condition again with only minor scratches from use that are unnoticable unless you really look for them. The only noticable minor was the paint was chipped from the bottom charger cover, however with having to open it every time the phone is charged this could easily happen to a brand new phone within a week of use so no issue with that at all.The phone runs fast and has great storage, display and especially battery life for second hand phone. The only other issue is with the make of the phone itself where the screen can get very hot with extended use, however this is known with all S5 phone handsets.Overall amazing phone for the price, great condition with no faults after a months use and great touch with the added start up pack of items.Would highly recommend seller and will likely be buying from again when I inevitably throw this phone down a set of stairs or something equally as stupid.

Great smartphone at a mid-level spec and price. We never go for the latest and greatest smartphones. We wait for a couple of generations to pass, and watch the price drop to something way more realistic, and then we grab a deal online, usually on Amazon. We picked this great device up for just a couple of hundred quid and it is more than worth it. This device comes with a secure, new(ish) version of the Android operating system and is compatible with all of the latest apps. The power of this device is more than enough to enjoy all the latest apps and games without worries about performance. The camera on this phone is superb. It's super high quality and has a great feature that allows you to macro zoom in and then focus the image.Do this on a bright summers day and you'll get some really great, sharp shots at ultra closeness, something you'd expect from a very expensive DSLR and lens setup. The battery life is pretty good, but then I have an issue with most battery lives on mobile devices these days. It's the "norm" now to have to charge your devices every night. I highly recommend a charger with multiple USB slots in it, it's a lifesaver for charging your phone, tablet, wearables and any other devices you may find you have. The screen is superb and has a great "HD" feel to it. I compared it to my Nexus 5 which is a few years old, and the screen on the Samsung Galaxy S5 is considerably better, brighter and sharper.Overall, highly recommended device and a stable phone with good performance that you can now purchase at a fraction of the price it was a couple of years ago.

I've used countless smartphones and I have to say the Galaxy S5 has been the best I have ever used. The display is simply phenomenal, videos and pictures look extremely sharp and crystal clear. The quad-core Snapdragon processing chip means there is almost no lag or sluggish-performance. Ok, TouchWiz is full of bloatware but it still is responsive and snappy. The IP67 certification is a nice touch, meaning you can use your phone in rain without worrying about water damage. However, common misconception is that this phone is waterproof. IT IS NOT WATERPROOF! You will damage your device if you expose it to too much water. Battery life is good, nothing amazing but not bad at all.I get a day's battery with moderate usage using 4G, WiFi, NFC and keeping brightness on maximum. The device's camera is fantastic, the 16MP shooter let's you take fantastic shots in most conditions. I would note that the camera does work best with good lighting and outdoors. The fingerprint scanner isn't quite as responsive as Apple's TouchId but once accustomed to it it performs fine. The heart rate monitor, although slightly gimmicky, is good fun after doing a workout or exercise. As far as aesthetics and design go it looks just like any other Samsung device. I would heavily advise that you use a case as the bezel is very prone to scratches. I use a Spigen hybrid case and find it very durable and stylish.Anyway to sum up I would say that this phone is great and is worth the money but the fingerprint scanner could be a bit improved and the phone gets damaged very easily.

Jury's out on this one. Quick start guide said it was SM-G900H but settings say it's SM-G900F. It's 4G and it works in UK. SM-G900H is a 3G phone. Why the wrong Quick start guide? And why no EU only seal on the box? I'll be back ...Well, Quick start guide and EU seal discrepancies aside, this phone checks out as a genuine SM-G900F according to three benchmark apps from Google Play, namely Genuine Galaxy, Antutu and 3DMark. It's equipped with the Snapdragon 801, like a proper S5. Also, it's heartrate monitor and fingerprint scanner both work. So, a genuine EU S5, albeit strangely packaged. A strange start, but it appears I've now got my dream machine, a genuine S5, that works on UK 4G/3G (and I think 2G)bands. Thank you guys. Oh, it's now updated to Lollipop. Cool.P.S. I've also checked playing it thru my telly using the MHL adapter (which I got thru Amazon) and yeh, it works. Brilliant. And I love the fingerprint scanner.

Great phone - bought this as birthday gift for my wife. I have a iPhone 6s Plus, compared to that S5 is quite light to hold, and not unsightly bezel given that 6s plus is only 0.4 inches more, s5 screen is good. After turning on the phone let the phone update to Android 6 through a series of installs and restarts, it will get hot during this process, once you have the latest Andriod it works a breeze, also Samsung has cut down and optimised lot of its own bloatware, you make sure you disable the ones you do not need in settings.Set the phone on power saving mode, then off you go.Finger print is not as fast as Iphone but does the job once you get used to it.My wife personally likes the pattern un-locking anyway.Call quality is clear, Wifi is fast. Looks like Samsung is letting Google native Andriod do more than their own, which is good.Overall a good value buy compared to S6 or iPhone. S7 is too expensive.

Bought to replace an aging Galaxy s2 but i was not prepared to pay silly money for the very latest smartphone models which offer very little more than this one. The other deciding factor was that with this model you can change the battery yourself which virtually no latest models of any phone manufacturer allow.Instead they want you to purchase a new phone or pay a high price to have them do it. The phone itself is so far very good, it is fast, has a really good screen and is capable of doing much more than i will use it for. Yes the onboard memory is only 16mb but you can add a micro sim card to expand this up to a further 128mb.

Ill be the first to admit im geeky, im also outdoorsy and WORK for a living. This is the only phone that holds up to my life style, i can go fishing, hunting, camping and even do my thing with heavy machinery and know the phone is tough enough it runs a plenty new enough software the day it doesnt im installing cyanogen mod. The phone is also fast enough with enough battery life to hang with high end mid range phones of today and easily play any game on the play store

Bought for my husband as I have had one of these for the past 2 years or so.The one I bought online for my husband developed a purplish/pink flickering display and I thought at first that I would need to return it.However, I googled Pink/purple flickering display and YouTube had a fix for this which was very easy to do even though they said the fix was for the Galaxy S7 rather than the S5. I tried it and it appears to have totally cleared the problem.

Bought this and it was delivered within a few days. The day after i ordered i was contacted regarding the charger which was a European charger, not UK, which was fine but i was glad i was contacted anyway. The phone works great, however i took it to a store for a protective cover, where in was told it was actually a J5 not an S5, but i haven't confirmed this for myself. Still a great phone, came in factory quality with factory seals.

I have owned the Samsung Galaxy S5 for around a year now and have been extremely happy with my choice.Really fast charging time and the battery life is very good, A definite improvement for Samsung.I love the camera functions and it produces excellent results with great clarity. Easy to use and quick to set up.It is hard wearing and has stood the test of being dropped so many times!I would highly recommend this phone.

The power switch on my trusty old S4 has gone after 4.5 years, so I was in need of a replacement...Requirements;AndroidMicro SD card capableReplaceable battery4GFull HD screenBetter than S4 performanceThe S5 is just about the only phone out there that meets the above criteria, and the one supplied by Techno Edge LTD was new, in a sealed box, and has been benchmarked as genuine via antutu.Great value at £200!

I owned this phone for 2 years and it was unbelievably good. Throughout the whole 2 year period it never died below 1% battery, nor did it ever cut out randomly. Such a smooth running phone could not praise Samsung enough for their devices especially this one! You will not be disappointed with this one although it is a few years old now

Excellent buying experience from Be unique online. My Samsung S5 shipped in two days from HK. It is the 900F version which is correct for UK. I was concerned that on first switch on the language was Korean but tap the top line of characters and the language choices appear. Very good product and I am happy to recommend this supplier.
