Extremely comfortable, very supportive, super light and the lacing system is superb. Also, this is the 1st gortex shoe I've owned that is actually waterproof! (and I've owned a few..) Sole gives excellent traction but is wearing very poorly. I've had mine since December and I've worn them daily on a mix of soft and hard surfaces. Lugs on the sole are nearly gone. I have talked to Salamon who told me "It is quite durable as long as it is not used everyday in city and asphalt surfaces as this will wear the sole faster than usual" Well, I didn't but they have worn out anyway! Shame...

I usually don't do ratings and reviews, but I love these shoes so much, I thought I should. I got these in the wide width. I don't have a particularly wide foot, but wider than normal shoes always feel better.I bought these for an Ireland sightseeing trip and now I wear them all the time. They fit great and are the right balance between flexible and supportive. They are a lot more flexible than I expected.I've never owned Salomon shoes before, but I will definitely try them again. Great shoes!

I love this shoe so much I ordered a second pair. I can no longer wear tennis shoe my feet and legs ache to no end but with these shoes I could walk all day. The only thing I don’t like are the strings they need to be modified better put them tight and the loop sticks out then I have to tuck underneath the other strings so it’s not hanging out.

This is my second x-ultra gtx pair. The first generation model is very pleased with the convenience in the past. I wanted to take a third-generation model at a local store. But Salomon has narrowed the block in this generation! I ordered a wide block here. Shoes sit normally and do not clamp the foot like a standard shoe.

Tested new for several hours of walking, very comfortable, light and no pain. Very catchy sole. The wide version is really ideal to avoid being too tight at the toes. I had already given a first opinion right after the purchase and I confirm this excellent product, the seriousness of Trekkinn and the very fast delivery.

Very comfortable. I bought the wide and a bigger size because I have problems with a big finger and despite the risk they are like slippers. Another thing is that they do not slip stepping on the polished stones, they stick. I want to buy the same ones but they are not in stock. I was surprised that there is no alert.

Purchased in second pair with a size above and in a wide version to wear them with thicker socks and molded sole. Extremely comfortable. The studs are catchy but wear out fairly quickly. I only found this extended version on the trekkin site where it is my first purchase. Delivered quickly, very satisfied.

Great shoe for hiking and general wear! I bought the wide fit as I know Salomons to be narrow in the toe area, and the fit is excellent. Very comfortable right off. Also super light, and I like the speed lace; inner sole gives enough cushion for even this 70 year old. Delivery was amazingly efficient.

Purchased to replace the last pair of the exact same shoe (that I have been wearing for 4 years). Very Pleased that the shoe is still fitting the same and the materials look like the same high quality. The last pair lasted a long time and served me well, I expect the same from these. Great purchase!

Bought just two weeks before setting off on the Camino Frances (not a good idea for a walk of 800 kms) because shoes too small and tight. Also ordered because they are too narrow and to avoid squashed toes. Excellent and a grest relief for my feet - I'm sure you've got to worry about blisters.

Tried for a wet and cold hike in AT N Georgia, it did really well in terms of grip on climbing up/down on rocks, plus saved my toe twice when I banged against some ledges. Overall good, except for the laces which look flimsy but they do their job.

Love these shoesDid 15 mile hike first time using sooo comfortable went through plenty of mud and streams inside stayed nice and dryGreat tractionHeard some whining about shoes laces I love the speed laces also.

It is a great hiking shoe, moreover, you can use it for everyday and the feel and comfort is excellent. Waterproof and easy to adjust and clean. Walkability is 10+. A real great value for gift or personal use.

Great shoe, I need a wide fitting shoe and these fit the bill. My second pair, first pair lasted over two years and have put in plenty of miles, looking a bit tired but will still be ideal for the garden...

Thanks to the previous reviews I ordered the wide version of this shoe and it fits perfectly. In the process of breaking them in and am looking forward to logging some trail miles in with these bad boys!
