My daughter wanted to dress up as a mermaid for Halloween ( how scary!) so of course I couldn't find a costume apart from amazon! She picked this one. Thankfully as usual quick delivery from amazon so it has arrived on time. My daughter loves it. It's grand, arm material isn't good but I'd say after Halloween ill be cutting it off and putting outfit in dressing up box. It doesn't matter about arm material cos the outfit still has shoulders so it will still beable to be used. As for the tail it's a bit annoying for my daughter. She is a tall 5 and its still very long. That's her only prob with it but she will soon be tall enough that the tail will sit perfectly!

Although my niece spells her name Ruby not Rubie I decided to go with this product anyway. She's only 4 so is fairly easy to impress with stuff like mermaids and whatnot, and this was a big hit. Hopefully when she gets through this stage we'll be able to discuss interesting stuff like music, literature, politics etc, but for now I'm buying her affection with dressing up clothes. It seems to be working, but, little tip for any other uncles out there: I've realised that when playing games it's better to let the kid win, even if you're actually much better at the game than they are. They don't tend to be very gracious in defeat.

I bought this costume for my daughter for her 5th birthday. She is quite petite so it is a little bit long for her and the tail gets in the way when she walks (she is 110cm and I bought small size). However, she absolutely loves it and has already had lots of fun dressing up! I don't think it will look this good for long though, due to the netting getting caught on the velcro neck fastening and the tail has started to fray at the edges. Despite this, I think it is good little costume for the price and it looks very pretty.

I ordered this after looking at it last December. The price seemed lower in the spring and so we gave it a go - my 6 year old loves it, and it's standing up to use pretty well. she's quite tall for her age so I was concerned it'd be too wee, but it is fine size wise, although a slim fit. I'd say it was good value for the money compared to ones we'd seen in the shops and it arrived quickly.

good for price and big sizes so have plenty of growth room but unfortunately I doubt it will last that long ! Lovely for the price but not particularly well made or durable. My 3 year old has put it on a couple of times and the tail has come apart but it was easy enough to re-stitch . Overall it would be ok to use at a couple of fancy dress parties but not suitable for everyday play

Great little dress but not sure if it'll wash well as perhaps a little flimsy. Age 1-2 fitted my petite 3 year old absolutely perfectly so very lucky there. The dress is a little tricky to walk in and has been bought as a costume for an underwater themed party so I will probably bring spare clothes for when it starts to hinder play.

Bought for my 5 year old daughter. She is average size and this dress is perfect, glad i went for the small rather than the medium. got plenty of length on it so she wont out grow it any time soon!! id say the age is more 4-6 years than 3-4 thats depending on the size of your child.Good price :)

Although this is a very cute outfit, unfortunately the sizing doesn't seem to align on the garment, some sizes suggesting a slightly larger fit. Not to worry as the piece can then be worn at an older age, but it wouldn't fit a 'normal' sized 5 year old, closer to 7-9 year olds.

Good value for money with pretty detailing to it. The shell shapes for the bustline are too large and they look quite 'gappy' on my little girl, who obviously has no bust to fill it! I tacked the shell shapes onto the dress and it looks and fits far better.

I bought this for my daughters class assembly, the costume is very slim fitting and very long. Not sure what young child has the figure of a model at this age, but for the price it's very pretty, it served the purpose and my daughter loved it!

My Granddaughter was invited to a mermaid themed birthday party. Absolutely beautiful. The detachable arm netting was a feature I hadn't noticed & made it even more special. Swift delivery & well packaged. Excellent item & REALLY good value.

My friend couldn't find a mermaids outfit for her daughter for christmas so I said I would get her one. Found a few but this one was by far the best. Great value for money and fast delivery. My friends daughter loves it! Thank you.:)

This was bought the week before Christmas and arrived on time which I was very happy about. The product itself is lovely, very pretty and my 4 year old niece loves it!Overall a great buy at a good price for the product.

I got this for my daughter to walk in the childrens gala day. It was far too long, would recommend going for the smaller size, but I took it up and she looked great. She has worn it since and it has kept together well.

Ordered this outfit and a few days later the wig to match....I was over the moon that they came together in the same parcel as I thought I had ordered the wig to late! Fab items would definitely buy from these again ?
