When we first got our coon kittens in December, we initially feed them on the regular Royal Canin kitten food. They seemed to enjoy it but I was concerned about how quickly they were eating. After visiting a few forums I discovered that this is due to the larger jaw size that MCs have, and was recommended the breed specific version. Unfortunately the breeder who rec'd it was in USA where this seems to be more readily avaiable. After scouring all pet shops in the vacinity and them not having even heard of this product, I started searching online and was very surprised to find it on amazon! After buying a small bag to try, I immediately noticed that the kittens where actually chewing their food rather than hoovering it down. This has led to a better digestion, healthier appearance and cleaner teeth :) We now order the 10kg bag on subscription and so get a discount on the already low price and along with a box per month of the kitten wet food pouches each bag lasts 2 months for 2 kittens. The only let down with the whole experience is that, unlike the 4kg bag, the 10kg bag is not resealable, hence the 4 star rating.

I have had Maine coons for quite some time and always feed my kittens on this and I always advise new owners that feeding their kitten this food will give them the healthiest, well grown kitten that they expect. The down side on buying it from Amazon is the price, on zooplus, not on subscription it's £44.90 for a 10kg bag, that's a huge difference in price and you get zooplus reward points and free delivery and an added 10% discount if your first order and if I'm remembering correctly they have a 'stock up/stock up and save' code when entered gives you a 5% discount. Delivery isn't next day but it is speedy, so come on Amazon be a little more competitive..please.

I bought this for my Maine coon Baby As at 4 months only 4 months old he was showing odd eating habits..He was scooping his food up and swallowing it whole. I had been feeding him RC nuetered as he never liked the growth or weaning. And his breeder said he was reared on Happy Cat he would not eat that either when I got him home.. So I bought this and he hasnt looked back he loves it and now he chews properly the kibble which isn't actually much bigger than the nuetered food just a different shape. He eats properly and has shot up like a weed now at 5 months old he is beginning to look like a coon. I bought this based on reviews on here and im more than happy..

this is ideal for maine coons as they have very large jaws. royal canin maine coon buiscuits are about three times larger than your normal dried food, my maine coon enjoys it,only problem is I have three moggies as well and they also prefer this than their usual food so they all have royal canin maine coon now. it is expensive however but I think its far better for the cats than anything you get from the supermarket.i would of given it a five but as I said it is on the expensive side.

Excellent pet food product enjoyed by both of our Maine Coon kittens. Now 3 months old they have both been on this diet since we picked them up from the breeder who had fed them a combination of this and wet food. Touch wood we have had hardly any digestive problems other than when we stray and they enjoy a kitten treat or two (lesson learnt) . Such a shame that it appears this has been taken off the Amazon subscribe and save list for some reason.

We have been buying this since Samson came to live with us at 14 weeks old. He is now 3 years old. His coat, teeth and health is amazing, the vet has told me how great he looks to. We had ran out once for a week before we could get some more and used another top(ish) brand from the supermarket and within days his coat looked bad and weight dropped. He loves it and looks great. I would never use another product for Samson now.

Our 5 month old Maine Coon/Ragdoll mix practically inhaled her food. We switched her to the Maine Coon kitten food once she was old enough. She actually has to chew her food now and is eating a bit slower. She continues to grow...and grow and grow. Her coat is still soft and silky. Best of all, her stool is significantly less...well...odorous than it had been. We'll continue on with the Maine Coon food for her.

I changed my kitten from the basic Royal Canin Kitten (small biscuits) to this around 2 weeks ago. Initially, I mixed the two foods in with one another and he much preferred the larger Maine Coon kibble. His coat is becoming so thick and gorgeous and seems to be getting even softer since being on this food. Full of energy and gaining weight really well too. My vet agreed that it is a very high quality food.

I was feeding my maine coon kitten with royal canin 36 non-breed specific kitten food until he stopped chewing it, and just wolfed it down instead. He enjoys 36 maine coon just as much, but the larger size of the kibbles suits his larger jaw and makes sure he has to chew thoroughly. It's a little expensive compared to store brands like Whiskas, but is a good quality food and worth the extra money.

Odd that the review asks for eating on the flavour; I haven’t tried them personally! The cats love them though, so I guess that speaks for itself. The scent is clearly attractive to the cats too as they search them out and manage to get the lid off the food container. I would say that these biscuits are a bit over priced but I definitely think my cats prefer them over other brands.

No comparable cat food as cats love it a main coon a bengall and an egyptian mau. I probably need bag every six to eight weeks co can not do repeat order and save money. The biscuts do not need sealed storage as they are still fresh after six weeks .I suppose i could make transision to main coon adult some time but more expensive and less nutrition.david evans teush

Great product! My 6 months old Maine Coon used his teeth while eating for the first time, instead of "inhaling" the food :) He seems to like the taste as well. Great value, it will last for a long time and save me money... I keep it in a large vacuum bag (which I was using for storing pillows etc. to save from space), so it can stay fresh.

Moved my 5 month old Maine Coon Kitten onto this and he loves it, it's actually nice to hear him crunching biscuits rather than hoovering up smaller cat food, no doubt this will do wonders for his teeth. It should work well for larger cats (Norweigans, Russians, Bengals, Savannahs etc. as they have the jaws for it)

I know you have to limit dry food with cats but my two kittens do love this kibble! They have it as one of their meals (out of three) and have glossy coats and are disgustingly healthy. I combine this with the Royal Canin and Thrive cat food.

These Maine Coon biscuits are not easy to find in the kitten variety but they are worth getting if you have a Maine Coon kitten. Watching my little one chomping away happily on the super-size kibble is a real joy - she loves them.
