I have three British shorthair cats who I feed a mixture of wet and dry food. Like most cats, they always scoff down the wet food first as it must taste more yummy than the dry kibbles. I therefore struggle finding a dry food which keeps them interested. After reading some of the very favourable reviews for Royal Canin I was tempted to give it a go even though it was rather more expensive than my usual brand. The description stated that the kibbles were larger than most other brands, but the bigger pieces were ideal for the jaw size of this breed. When I opened the bag I saw immediately that the kibbles were quite large, something my vet told me was especially good for their teeth as they have to bite them in two to eat them ,rather than just bolting down much smaller kibbles. My cats absolutely love this product! You don't actually need to give them loads as they take a lot of crunching - and together with a bit of wet food makes the perfect meal for my fussy cats. I ran out last week and had to resort to using some of the old brand - they were NOT happy and left most in the bowl. I went on Amazon and ordered another bag of the good stuff ASAP which arrived today. Smiles and purrs all round!

I have a pedigree British Short-hair, and wanted to make sure to feed him food that would assure he stayed in tip top condition. Royal Canin hasn't let me down, and I have been purchasing it since I first brought my cat from the local breeder. I was originally using Royal Canin Kitten; I was very impressed by that, but as my cat is now nearly a year old, I switched to this adult food, and am just as equally impressed with it!It fills my cat right up and, and I have peace of mind knowing it provides him with all of the breed specific nutrients and benefits that he requires. Since switching to this, I've noticed that he does not eat at such a fast pace,or quite as regularly; but he seems to be very healthy and growing at a pleasing rate. I would highly recommend this food to you - it is worth every penny, and your Short-hair will thank you for it!

I have been feeding my pedigree Royal Canin kitten since I brought him, so upon buying this new adult food, I brought with every confidence, knowing of the quality of food Royal Canin provide. With the course of time, my Short-hair has grown into a large and handsome boy, and I felt it time to change his food. Needless to say, I was curious as to whether he would take to this change in food so soon, but I shouldn't have worried! Before I had even placed down the box when it arrived, the little fellow was going crackers, jumping all over the box and sniffing happily. Although I have not yet given him any of this new adult food, save for one biscuit from the bag,I can already tell this new food swap has been a roaring success. I would highly recommend Royal Canin cat food to anyone!

Have been feeding our 2 British shorthair cats this food since they were old enough to eat. They both really love the food, the size of the kibble is perfect for British shorthair jaws. The kibble slightly larger than other dried foods this is perfect for British shorthair cats who have larger jaws. This ensures that they are more likely to chew the food rather than swallow whole, this helps maintain good dental health. We weigh their food out to ensure that they are getting just the right amount. They both love eating this food and it seems to be perfect for the breed, both are really fit and healthy with no health concerns. Definitely recommend this food to other British shorthair owners.

Our cats are now thirteen and have moved from this to senior, they are Brother and Sister and have only ever been fed Royal Canin starting on their kitten kibbles, then majority of life on fit 32 before we found a breed based kibble. As mentioned they have now gone into senior, it was the breeder we had them from started them on the Royal Canin and we never changed. I've not tried it myself I can hand on heart honestly say not even been tempted but we've had no complaints from the two cats who seem to get through mounds of the stuff. Vets have often commented over the years that we feed them the best so the general consensus is it is at the upper end or premium cat kibble.

I ordered it from here because I got next day delivery usually I can't find it this cheap anywhere except zooplus but the delivery there takes ages!!! So I was so happy to see the price here! N will continue to order if the price remains the same. Anyway my British shorthair got changed to wiskas biscuits n felix food.... well what can I say he didn't enjoy it as much and his poo stank soooo bad!!!! Now I decided price isn't an option I prefer quality. He runs to his dry food when he has this!!! He has just turned one and has no problem eating the biscuits I can hear him crunching away.I defo recommend this from this seller.

The best thing about this hotel I'm staying at (apart from the large number of sleeping quarters) is the food. They serve Royal Canin British Shorthair and I simply love it, it doesn't come in different flavours but that doesn't matter because it's so morish. They serve pouches of Felix GAIL too but I don't know why they bother, I would eat Royal Canin day in and day out for the rest of my days. I went for a yearly health check the other day and the kind lady that examined me complimented me on my nice smooth, shiny coat, I put it down to the Royal Canin, it has all the vitamins I need, every hotel should serve it.

It is a very good produce because both my British blue and cream like it. I can tell fromthe smell of it that it is of very high quality. The only problem is the size of each piecetoo big. The idea of the designer is that the cat has to bite them because of the big size, but my British blue boy treat them as the other small piece ones and just sallow themwhole. This caused him vomiting once and I have to buy a new bag of sensitive RoyalCanin for them. But my British Cream boy has no problems with this food at all. I thinkthat it is good if your British shorthairs have strong digestions.

My British shorthair has recently turned 1 year old, I was concerned he would struggle adjusting from the kitten formula to the adult formula, but I mixed the two varieties for a few days and he had no issues with this new blend. The pieces are overall slightly bigger than the kitten formula, with a asymmetrical cube formula apparently designed to help with the breeds 'jowls'! My cat has never been sick or even vomited once in his 1 year life span, and I am sure good quality pet food is a contributing factor!

I've also written a review on the Royal Canin Longhair mix. As I mentioned on that review I mix this British Shorthair mix with the Longhair mix and both my cats are very happy indeed. The teeth and jaws get a good workout from the shorthair mix and their digestive systems are maintained with the longhair mix. I agree that the water intake is slightly more but I think that is probably down to the fact that they actually prefer more dried to wet food now. Excellent product. Cannot recommend it highly enough.

My cat loves this kibble! It's been specially designed to help with BSH's jaws and it does make him have to crunch the food. The large shape is good because previously he would just inhale his food but now he has to take more care. He's an indoor cat but a combination of this kibble and the Purina Gourmet range of meat, pâté etc has kept his weight nice and healthy which is good because BSHs are prone to obesity, especially if kept indoors. My cat won't touch any other kibble now - fussy little... :-)

Having tried many many other dry/wet cat foods for my very fussy Black BSH girl (Esme :) ) I decided to try Royal Canin BSH dry food, and although it is a bit more expensive than other brands, she absolutely loves it and now i buy the 10K bag so it is way more economical, her coat i am sure now looks even more shiny than ever and she seems very happy , which i can only guess is because she is getting all the correct nutrients from her food, Well worth the price IMHO.

Very large chunks of crunchy biscuit. My cats (all Moggies)love it. Has high protein content which is supposed to be more satisfying. Also forces them to crunch biscuits in half and eat more slowly. Whereas they're inclined to swallow down whole smaller bisuits. And over eat as a consequence.Even kittens liked chewing their way through them. (They never would eat 'baby' sized pieces of anything)I'd recommend this to all cat owners, irrespective of breed.

i or at least my two black cats (british short haired or Moggies as i know them) have been eating this for some 6-9 months now and they are fit great coats and really seem to enjoy meal times. I treid other types before with mixed results. On the royal canin they never seem to bore of it. makes my life easy and keeps the cats alert and very fit. Aslo bonus they dont appear despite being neutered get fat stomaches. exceelent price too

Swapped to this on vets advice as my cat used to be sick after eating. The cat biscuits i was using had a high fat content which is what was causing the problem. Royal Canin are high in protein. I followed a mix of old and new reducing the old and increasing the new over time on the vet's advice. She loves the biscuits and the sickness issue has been resolved. Happy to pay for quality as I have a very happy kitty
