Yes you heard it right. There's something fundamentally wrong with this rum.It's not the flavour- oh my it's amazing. It's so smooth and "caramelly" (if that's a word).It's not the smell (bouquet if you're pretentious). It's the price. Yes, the price. I keep coming back to this rum. It's far superior to many rums that are much more expensive. How do they do it? I don't know, but I'm not complaining. If you like Ron Zacapa, Diplomatico, El Dorado but don't fancy paying too much for a rum, then buy this. They might realise soon that they're under pricing it- so QUICK buy it before they realise!I've bought far too many bottles of this already this year.

I bought this as a present for my other half for Christmas and was quite nervous as he is a rum connoiseur and it's his favourite spirit. I was relieved as he absolutely loved it.... unfortunately we finished it before NYE.It has a lovely smokey flavour to it and you can really taste the years of soaking in Whiskey oak barrels which i was surprised i could actually taste, it gave it a musky vanilla hint to it. It was sweet but had a tartness that kept all the other flavours in line to be enjoyed.As a Whiskey drinker myself I must say i enloyed it more than some of my aged whiskeys

This is easily one of the best Rums I have tasted. On par with El Dorado 12 and Ron Zacapa (which is £20 more expensive). Very smooth with a good afterburn and nicely sweet with flavours of Sherry, Chocolate and much much more. The only problem is the contents of the bottle go down way too fast.

One of my favourites. Warm, smooth, lots of flavours and character.Sits next to Plantation 20, FdC 18 and Zacapa 23 - but generally cheaper than these. I wouldn't really rank any of these above/below one another as they're all different in tastes, but Abuelo was a real surprise.

One to rival Zacappa but for £34 rather than £48! Since Zacappa has raised their price This has become my go to rum. Rich heavy caramel with a great Porty nose the flavours are intense. Have one and you will want three more. Dangerously good and highly recommended.

This is equally as good as El Dorado or Dictador but maybe slightly less expensive, it is certainly worth having a bottle in your selection if you like your rums, but, please don't spoil your experience by drinking it any way other than neat at room temperature.

Really well priced for what you get. It is a little overly sweet for my taste and isn't as deep as other rums supposedly aged for that length of time but for the money it's a very smooth sipping rum and has won awards for a reason!

I am so glad I discovered this lovely Panamanian Rum.Its blessed with a lovely nose and the taste is incredibly smooth but with no harshness for the price £34 its exceptionally good value a great Rum.

Very good rum, on the sweeter side so similar to rums like Diplomatico. Really enjoyable drank on its own or with a splash of ginger ale. Worthwhile purchase and good value for money.

A fine rum that punches above its weight at this price point.The taste is kind of grassy not dissimilar to Zacapa. Great drunk straight with lots of ice to savour the flavour!

As a serious rum fan, this is the king of rums for me. No added flavours, deep, rich and smooth. Great value for money. A totally enjoyable experience.

The best rum I've ever tasted. When drunk neat next to supermarket rum like Havana Club there is no comparison. When mixed there isn't much in it.

We went to a rum tasting and this was the rum we were recommended but didn’t get to taste. It is delicious if you like your rum with bold flavours
