I bought this tripod as a lighter alternative to my usual full size tripod to take on hiking trips. The most appealing aspect of this product for me was the low weight (at just 200g) and the small size. After looking at several different options of lightweight tripods I decided to go for the Rollei Monkey, largely due to the low cost.I have been using the tripod with my Canon EOS 1100D which it fits with no problems. The fastener was easily screwed into the bottom of my camera and could effortless be clipped and unclipped into the tripod. So far I have used it with the 18-55mm lens as well as a larger 55-250mm lens with a lens hood. I mostly used the tripod in a traditional fashion - placing it on the ground, mostly on grass and rocks. The small size and low weight made it very easy to position on uneven ground and the three legs easily moved whichever way I wanted them. The three rubber feet seemed to do a good job of gripping onto the rocky surfaces, although there wasn't a lot of wind when I was using it.The only negative is that the legs sometimes moved too easily, which could be quite frustrating at times. After setting everything up how I wanted it, placing too much pressure on the body of the camera would occasionally cause one of the legs to give way. However, this was a small price to pay for the price and excellent portability.

A great sturdy little tripod that works well with my Canon G7X Mk2 on it. The quick release works well in my experience, and I think the tripod is good value for money. The only issue I had with it and that stops it from getting 5 stars is that the foam tends to smell after a bit. I use the tripod for quite a lot of vlogging as well as static shots, and the foam really will make your hands be a bit stinky. If you're not using it for the vlogging reasons, I think this is a great budget tripod, and obviously the foam will help the tripod grip onto objects like handrails/lamposts etc for those creative shots or time lapses - caveat: I've not used a heavy DSLR on it so have no experience of usingwith a heavier weight than my canon and phone.

Excellent small tripod, which is perfect for my use : with a Zacro Smartphone Holder Mount and a Huawei P9, it was the perfect travel companion to shoot some timelapses and videos on the go. Ultra light weight, this tripod is also super reliable and solid/tought. I like the leg coating, which is more useful than a gorilla pod on some occasion : to put your smartphone onto the door of the car for example. A good product at a very good price.

Bought this to support my Fuji XT-10 in a table top set up. The legs are very flexible but stay in set position. They also incorporate stops so they don't spread with the weight of my camera, lens and mic (under 700g). Even though the spec states a max 1kg, I suspect it could possibly take more. Overall, it's well made and designed with a reputable name behind it and a steal for the price.

I bought this instead of the more expensive branded ones, and I bought it thinking the price would match the quality. I was surprised to say the least, it's very decent quality, and sturdy for it's size. The legs can be manipulated into certain positions, and the head also tilts

A good product considering the price and big enough to be useful. Buying a second one as the leg snapped-off the first one. I guess that's the price you pay for aluminium wire in the legs - flexible but will break at some point.

For price below 15£ is the best what i could buy for travel shooting. It's stable good with sony a6000 and kit lens as well as with heavier lens. Camera fit is very small and that's a plus but doesn't look very solid.

For the price tag it does the job. The ball isn't as fluid moving as I thought it would be. Still does a good job for what it is. Not yet tried the grip of the mobing legs

Not actually used it yet, but compared to the last one I bought, its chalk n cheese well built solid construction. for the price you cant go wrong

Great alternative to the more expensive brand, bought as a gift so haven't used it myself but it seemed pretty good. Bought for a mid size camera

Grandson finds this useful for his A level photography. Seems to do what it is supposed to do although I am not an expert in the field.

Excellent product for medium DSLR like D5000 or 550D. Doesn't hold for D800 because it's too heavy. But this works fine for my need.

Does the job but would recommend Joby tripods over this if you are willing to spend extra..
