Superb Streaming Media Player.......I bought this for my mother who is 84 and finds technology a total mystery but the Roku is so easy anyone can use it. For her I copy DVDs for her onto a memory stick in a recognized format like mp4 and she plugs the stick into the Roku and immediately it recognizes the stick and the format the Movies are coded in and away she goes watching the Movies. Its as simple as that. In my opinion the Roku is the best Streaming media Player around even better than Apple TV. I used to have a Sony Media Player and it was so complicated it was unreal and sometimes it wouldn't recognize the format...it was terrible.

I can't really compare this to other TV streaming systems as I don't know them, but I can compare it to the Roku streaming stick and I can say that it is worth paying more for, not so much for the features as for it working so much more quickly and smoothly. Once you have got into the system of linking it up with an account you can set up on the web, it is pretty easy, plus you can even have some Wii-like fun with the Angry Birds game. I liked the headphone socket on the remote. This more or less lived up to quite heightened expectations after reading quite positive reviews about it, and seems to work well for iPlayer and other important apps,

The Roku 3 is easy to set up. Connect with an HDMI lead to a Smart TV. Connect to your internet hub or wireless. I use a hub with a wired connection using the mains to make the link from the Router to the Roku 3.Subscribe to the services that you desire e.g. Netflix, Sky. Nowhere TV etc. Do this on your computer.The Roku 3 is easy to use. Once plugged in to an HDMI connection on the Smart TV you will see that you can select the Roku as a separate input device so that it does not conflict with a recorder or cable TV box. Selecting programmes is simple. Hundreds are available.These devices are going to replace the main Cable TV providers. Essentially, you only pay for the service that you want for a limited time.

If, like me, you stream your TV or Film and have digital files you want to play on your computer then this is the box for you. Works perfectly with PLEX so you can access you own digital files and is seamless with services from NETFLIX and NOWTV.In fact, looking at the latter I mentioned there it's a shame the NOWTV box is so stripped back as it's essentially the same unit, but the Roku 3 is what it should be and the NOWTV box is what it shouldn't be! Oh well.The set up is easy, you have to set up a Roku account, but that is painless. Then it has a simple and easy to use dashboard and a controller that is responsive that has a great addition,

Bought this as a replacement for contract sky TV for my parents. My parents found this easy to use after I had installed it.It is easy and has simple step by step instructions to install and use. I have recently bought one for myself so, when the new series of game of thrones comes back on I can buy 3 months of the now tv app and then stop when it finishes. No tie in contracts and it also has games you can play on it all free of charge. Down side well, I can't get the blink box app on it but, Netflix and you tube do work so it's ok because I can down load films on a usb stick and plug it into the side of the rocku box.I can also use it directly from the computer with a hdmi cable.

This little product is awesome, As far as this vs Apple TV if your not in the Apple Ecosystem this is worth considering. I already have access to a PLEX server and can view all my content in one place. Also found the Private channels of much use :)My Only grumble about the product is that is does not like my router Which was provided by SKY (Go Figure) And will not accept the WIFI password, when the unit is acting as a WIFI repeater/ extender automatically, causing another device on the WIFI channel my router is on, which is unusable at present Grrr ! Although now that RED Bull TV is available it softens the blow.

I purchased the Roku 3 Media Player as I was very disappointed with a previous Android system I purchased and returned. Despite firmware upgrades etc. it really was a very poor performer. The Roku 3 is a totally new ball game; It is very fast, easy to install and setup and has a facility to plug in headphones into the remote should you require private listening. We are using the Roku 3 only for Netflix, NowTV, BBC/ITV player all without any problems, but it is capable of much more with the available gaming APPS etc.Movies and programs can be streamed and viewed in HD withoutany pixelation and freezing, assuming of course that you have adequate Broadband speed.Well recommended.

in a gadget market full of unreliable products promising the whole world, its good to see that some go for stability, reliability, ease-of-use - and roku 3 is definitely that, a solid performer. if you dont want unpleasant surprises, annoying hiccups, go for roku and you'll have a pleasant viewing experience. sure, there are other products in this segment that offer more, or seemingly offer more, but they fail when it comes to everyday use, and the user is left frustrated.

The Roku 3 HD is amazing. Nice and compact and since the remote works using WiFi it can easily be put on the back of a TV using heavy duty Velcro. The UI is nice, smooth and concise - your channels are easy to access from the Home Screen. It has a search function as well that filters through every channel in Roku's database to locate what you are looking for. Lastly, make sure to use 'private' channels to boost your Roku experience.

I have tried to use a laptop to do what the Roku box does but only to find that the pictures break up, the Roku box however keeps the picture crisp and stable. I like it so much I have bought 2 more for family members both tell me it is just what they were missing and you can use it to catch up on missed television programmes.As one of Jehovah's Witnesses I use it to connect me to our broadcasting channel.

Great way of adding smart features with a simple interface to devices that don't have them. I use it for Plex and Netflix.Really easy to use. Roku 3 remote does not need line of sight and so the box can be hidden away.Only downside on the two I have owned the remotes loose their pairing after a while and will not reconnect. I use the Roku Smart Phone app when this happens.Happy viewing!

This is the second Roku media streamer to join the household. It is just so easy to setup and use plus really quick to respond to either the designated remote or one of the myriad of remote apps for phones and tablets.I heartily recommend getting one, a single place to put all those streaming services that do not otherwise play nicely together.

This gadget is very clever. No need for an aerial can operate through broadband. You don't need to be a technical wizard to set it up, the instructions are clear and easy to follow. Can download channels you use most and get free music and film channels. Ideal if you don't want to pay rental fees and don't have an aerial.

upgraded from roku LT menu slightly different picture quality a lot better now having comparable tv/roku all round very pleased and if it is as reliable as my other roku LT boxes which i have 2 of then i will be very pleased and yes i would recommend shop around like i did there are some good prices to be had

Fantastic! easy to use ,set up as is extremely fast streaming. Only one downside, if you need to install a sd card, it only excepts a lexmar sd card and has to be at least 2g and over 4 flash, it does not recognize any others. The booklet does not tell you this. apart form this it is just brilliant
