These glasses are a must for fans of claret. It's important to point out that these glasses are specifically designed for claret, Riedel do countless other varieties of glasses to suit all different types of wine. All Riedel glasses are shaped in such a way that the wine is delivered to the right part of the mouth for optimum taste.The glasses are really nice and large and very thin which is really good for getting air to the wine and you can see the wine clearly. Only downside is that they are easy to break (and costly to replace when you do break them!). I've managed to break one just washing it in the past.Highly recommended though, in my opinion the best glasses you can buy.

Although Riedel glasses are not cheap they outclass all other wine glasses I have bought. Their design is perfectly suited to give the best possible bouquet and taste from the wine. The glass is very fine and light and the glasses are well-balanced, nice to hold; the wine looks good.Whilst I would recommend any Riedel glasses I have not chosen to buy different glasses to suit different wines, settling for champagne flutes, white wine and large red wine glasses. There may be some advantage to the connoisseur in having a wider range of glasses but I find those I have serve me very well.Highly recommended.

I purchased these as a foil for the future potential of wine glasses to get broken and not being able to match them up.Well matching them up is certainly not a problem. Its just the cost :(Aside from that I feel the wine tastes better (perhaps?) but I also have an eye on my guests intoxification/hand eye coordination as the glass holds more wine than the average :)I am now washing in the dishwasher and so far sooooo good x fingers :)

An ok glass ,but in my opinion slightly on the large side and no better to drink out of than my much smaller and cheaper Schott glasses.They (the Reidel ones )are much better than my cut glass "Stuart" ones.I had to have these though to satisfy my curiosity and I don't regret the purchase.

These are the ideal wine glasses to drink from. The shape, the weight, the size...just perfect. Only problem is the durability due to the thiness of the glass. I takes a simple knock the shatter the rim, or even a too vigerous wash. Recommend to those who aren't looking for durability.

If you like your wine, getting the right glass is absolutely essential. It is amazing how a glass can really influence the flavour and bouquet. Sounds very snobby, but it's true! The Riedel design is one of the best, and this glass style for Bordeaux is ideal. Thoroughly recommended...

These glasses are large and therefore excellent for Bordeaux wines - they allow the wine to breath. Being large, it is easy to circulate the wine to speed up the process. In spite of their size, they are not heavy. Highly recommended and good value.

For red wine these Riedel Vinum Bordeaux glasses are excellent. They are not the cheapest but are wonderful to drink out of, perk up a not so good bottle of wine and they go in the dishwasher, what more can one ask!

The glasses are fine and what I wanted. However, I am amazed that Reidel can get away with the racket of selling a range of glasses that differ hardly at all, allegedly for different wines.
