Rather than just throw our paperwork away, we should be shredding to avoid identity theft. This machine does a good job of that. Over my older Rexel machine, this will shred my junk mail without me having to open the envelope and feed single sheets. Why shred junk mail? Because you get it because you are on a database, therefore there is potential information to help thieves, e.g. date of birth.I no longer have to tear off corners with staples, as the S206 deals with those. It has a reverse feature, which is handy should you be overenthusiastic and overfill, or when the basket is full and the machine cannot continue to feed into it.

I have the six sheet capacity shredder and it's quite large at approx. 319 w x 288 h x 156 d (measurements in mm) which is plenty big enough for light, domestic use. Shreds A4 paper into narrow strips of approx. 6 mm and runs quickly and cleanly through a decent sized wedge of paper. There's a paper jam light to warn if there's a problem and the machine stops shredding when that happens. The waste bin is light, easy to lift when full and holds a lot of paper before it needs emptying. It's always important to keep a paper shredder oiled and this one comes complete with a set of oil sheets to keep it in top condition. There's also an electrical plug, with quite a short lead,

I really like this paper shredder even though it is a bit on the pricey side. It does a really good job shredding up to six sheets of paper at a time and I have found that I do not have to remove the staples either which is such a great time saver. It holds a decent amount too so less emptying is required, in fact I only need to empty mine about twice a month although this would depend on how much unnecessary mail you receive or mail that you do not need to file away for future use.Mine sits on my home office desk where I open my mail every evening. It's quite a neat long machine and it's not very noisy either which is another plus point.

After 40 years of home owning we have finally decided to dispose of the mountain of paperwork in the desk. And in the upstairs cupboard. And stacked under the stairs. And yes, the piles in the sitting room.So much that I though a shredder would be a good idea - and along came this one.Very good.- Sturdy (quite heavy) and sits solidly on the floor (a Good Thing)- Seems to shred quickly and easily- Pretty simple to use, but with almost non existent instructions- Comes with some "oil sheets" that you feed through to oil the mechanism (I assume - the instructions don't mention them!)All in all pretty useful... and now I can shred the rest of my family.

The 'Rexel Momentum S206 Strip Cut Paper Shredder, Shreds 6 Sheets, 9 Litre Bin, Black, 2104568' is a basic but good quality paper shredder for light domestic use. It can shred six sheets of standard thickness paper at a time, and cuts them into strips (so not for highly-sensitive documents - you'd need a cross cut one for those). It cannot handle credit cards, optical discs, or staples, so be careful what you put into it.The product is a compact size, and doesn't take up much storage space. The bin is easy to empty, and holds a lot of paper. The noise levels are acceptable, and it hasn't jammed on us yet. Good basic product.

This must be the smallest shredder I have come across, the two or three I have had in the past were certainly larger. This one is so compact it can easily sit on top of your desk. It is not a cross cut so not really intended for highly confidential use. Perfect though for just general paper disposal. Works a treat, takes around 5 pages of 80gm paper easily without struggling, add any more than that and you will find it jamming.As the container is fairly small it is only really intended for light use otherwise you will find yourself emptying it too often!Good little shredder though, on the whole.

This is really nice, compact, easy to use, the noise levels are bareable and the shredding gets done. It does about 6 sheets comfortably but will take more if really impatient. It has a reverse function too, so if you shred your Banksy or an important document, you can reverse it before it's too late...Very nice and easy. Just what you want really. To empty, you just take the top off and tip the bin section in to the nearest hamster cage or wheelie bin/bag. Then start again.I find shredding very therapeutic and this does excite me

This shredder works very well. You must be ensure when feeding a maximum of 6 sheets at a time that you feed them in straight into the aperture. If they are an at an angle then the machine will jam. There is a reverse mechanism but if your sheets are at an angle, this does not help. If you keep exactly to the instructions, the machine will shred fast and clean. A bonus is the pack of oiled paper which can be used to keep the cutting mechanism in good condition. Ideal for the home office, lightweight and does not take up much space.

Jams easily, even when feeding single pieces of paper/card through at a time. Also, please ignore the item description given by Amazon which states that you can shred staples and paperclips - you cannot...nor can you shred credit/debit type cards. This is the most basic and least secure type of shredder but it's fairly effective and better than nothing. Bear in mind the additional, ongoing costs of the recommended oil sheets for maintaining the condition of the bladed elements though.

This is a good home, small office cross cut shredder.It does the job.If you have anything sensitive, with your name and address details on, then this shredder is for you.So far it runs smoothly.It is so simple to use, and just as important, it is simple to empty.Overall a really good solid shredder that with a bit of care will last ages.

I find this particular model very easy to use,and store under the desk when not being usedThe shredder has an easy viewing panel on the front which lets you know how full it is.The shredder holds 9 litres of shredded (well shredded) paper.And to shred up to 6 sheets of paper is very quiet (compared to other models).

Copes well with several sheets of paper or card. Max so far was 9 sheets of typing paper. It is not exactly quiet in operation but you just need short bursts. The capacity is not great and although it is easy to empty I still manage to make a mess every time.

This Rexel Momentum S206 Strip Cut Paper Shredder, Shreds 6 Sheets, 9 Litre Bin, Black, is fairly easy to use straight out of the box. Ideal for home use but not suitable if you have a large volume of paper to shred. Fairly compact design.

Needed to shred some old documents. This machine will last if you don’t hammer it! However it does jam often and you have to switch it off and clear the jam. Other than that it’s great! Recommended!

Well made product ,quieter than my original one . Does the job but shredded A4 sheets do not clear shredder head if the collection container is more than a quarter full. This is my only complaint.
