These Rexel Crystalfile Extra Suspension polypropylene foolscap pockets (Ref 3000081) are ideal for a busy workplace where the file pockets are frequently taken in and out of the cabinet with grubby or even wet fingers. They are intended for the classic 17" drawers with 15½" spaced suspension rails (for Foolscap), and not the less useful modern modular desk furniture with 14" drawers and 13" rails (for Letter or A4).It is a shame then that the crystal label tabs fall off as soon as one touches them, and I’ll be using my Dymo adhesive labeller instead. The sliders are 2mm wide nylon, and thus much less likely to wear through and screech in the office. The wipe clean surface is brilliant, and the short term durability is excellent with the ability to survive careless or even rough handling. Each pocket requires two support bars, and could take up twice as much overhead space as would a concertina type where pockets share supports. However, my experience of plastic folders similar to these is that in the long term (say a decade or so) they tend to lose plasticity and eventually crack, sooner if exposed to a lot of sunlight. And as well as the inevitable shuffling that will take place with easily mobile pockets like these, there is a high risk of filing items in between pockets! It is worth shopping around for deals.

I am reviewing the Rexel Crystalfile Extra Suspension File Polypropylene 30mm Foolscap Black Ref 3000081 [Pack of 25]- Here are my thoughts:My filing cabinet is a right mess because a lot of my files are full and have weighed them down so much they're bent the metal hanger and ripped. Some of them are sticking out in all directions. I really should have changed them before now, but it was one of those jobs I know I've been procrastinating on, because it's not just changing the files it's reorganising everything in them! When these arrived I was really pleased at how smart they are, and how that beacuase of the Polypropylene material they are made from they instantly look smarter and more supportive.15 mm can hold (which I currently have in the usual green papery versions) can hold up to 150 sheets, but this pack are 30mm and can double the amount I am used to being able to hold in one file! This makes these extremely useful for larger projects that I know usually wear out my paper files much quicker.I am surprised at how pleased I am with these, they are exactly what I needed. I only wish I'd come across these Polypropylene versions sooner.Box of 25. Supplied complete with tabs and inserts. Available in four colours: green, red, blue & black. Mine are black and work well with my colour coded system!

These will be right for you if: you have lots of bulky case files that really will rapidly become 300 sheets deep; you have standard old-fashioned civil service size suspended filing cabinets; you want something very durable and washable; you need the plastic tabs and cardboard label inserts that come with it, that would otherwise cost you over £20 sold separately. These will not be right for you if: most of your case files are actually just about fifty pages or less - the wide bases of this suspended filing will fill up your filing drawer too quickly; you already have the plastic tabs and cardboard inserts in plentiful supply in your stationery cupboard; you have a smaller modern filing cabinet. The hanging ridges of your filing cabinet do need to be 39cm apart. If the gap is just slightly wider, you need something adjustable.

Finally got around to replacing the old paper suspension file, these polypropylene files look like they will last a lifetime. They are certainly stronger than the cardboard files, and the flat 30 mm base allows for loads of paper to be stored. While the large capacity is a good thing, you should consider whether or not you need that particular capacity before purchase. Using them for a lesser amount of paper prevents hanging properly, without the weight the won't flatten out naturally. The folders themselves are great, they come with clear tabs and perforated labels. I must say I'm not a fan of the tabs. Compared to the quality of the folders, the tabs seem an afterthought. It's a toss-up in regard to how snug they fit, but the perforated labels are a nice touch. All in all a welcome replacement for my tattered folders.

These are your standard Foolscap width files in an unusual black colour (I’ve always had the traditional green ones in the past). They’ll fit most filing cabinets but just be careful you don’t have one of the smaller narrower filing cabinets as you’ll need A4 sized instead. You get the plastic tabs and perforated card labels - everything you need (assuming you have the filing cabinet, drawer or trolly required). These files are very expensive and I’m in two minds about whether they are worth the money. After a while I do find many of the card ones start to tear or go misshaped. Whereas these are so much sturdy. I guess it depends on what you’re storing and for how long.It you have heavier items and larger volumes of paper then this is maybe worth the money to invest in.

Superior quality suspension files - these are vinyl and much stronger than traditional cardboard files. The steel runners are also superior to normal and move effortlessly in your filing cabinet. Complete with 25 crystal tabs and a sheet of labels, there is everything in this box you need for a drawer of your filing cabinet. The files have the option of folding the bottom so that instead of them being a V shape they have a 3cm flat base - this gives you totally different capabilities..Whatever way you look at these files they are probably the best that you will ever find for your filing cabinet. I am absolutely impressed with them and although they are a bit more expensive than the standard ones, these are well worth the investment!

What can I say ... these are amazing. So strong and resilient and sooooo much better than the paper ones we had .... the sleeves themselves are ultra strong (rated for 300 pages apparently) and the legal hangers are really strong and tough.I’m comparing these to our current cardboard ones which have Beverley, deformed and torn doe to weight. That’s not going to happen here. As I said ... bomb proof. The only thing I would say to the negative and why I took a star off ..... the price. At the time of writing 90GBP. That far to expensive as far as I am concerned. That makes these nearly 4 pounds each. They are good, and maybe even worth it but for most Home office environments the paper wines would do at a tenth of the price.

I always overload suspension file pockets, so these tough ones are a boon. They are made of polypropylene instead of the old manila paper, clamped into the usual metal top, fitted with plastic sliders at the ends. The size is called "foolscap", so is right for ordinary office A4, or anything a little larger. The bottom is scored, and before use it was best to crease along the score to get a 30mm capacity. It is possible to push out a couple of prepared holes, and then you can use the file as a hanging two-hole binder for punched documents. You get transparent clip-on label holders, and some card labels. This seemed to me to be an excellent office product.

This pack of 25 Polypropylene suspension files are strong and capable of holding a large amount of files, or documents. I work in a college and we use these to store student files in cabinets. I can already tell that these are much stronger than the cardboard suspension files we have used previously. Although they are fairly expensive, the quality is good and these will stand for more weight and can be wiped clean.I received black, but these also come in red, blue and green. They look smart and stylish and fit a standard filing cabinet with ease. The files we use are much wider than A4 paper and they fit perfectly. Overall, very pleased with these.

These new type of suspension files made of polypropylene are excellent. They are tough, durable and wipe clean. These are excellent for a professional home or work office and, as they are unlikely to need replacing, will prove a good investment. This 30 mm version provides the room needed for most filing. I prefer 30 mm files to the standard 15 mm, as paperwork always seem outgrow the standard ones very quickly and then the original manilla files tend to buckle and tear; not so with these new polypropylene ones. If you’re into serious filing, then these Crystalfile Extra suspension files are for you.

I’ve used other-branded suspension files over the years and found them to be inferior products that split and tear easily, but with Rexel you know what you’re getting. These suspension files are in very hard-wearing plastic, not card, and look as if they will thus be incredibly durable. They also expand to 30mm on the bottom, so each one can hold a lot of papers. I wouldn’t use any other brand of suspension files, and these ones are good even by Rexel's very high standards; their card files are good, but these plastic ones are even better. Five stars.

I am in the midst of archiving our personal filing and one or two files are quite full - which has led to bending and tearing of the 'original' sort of hanging file. These new ones are excellent and just the job because not only do they not rip (because of the polypropolene material used) but they also have a wider 'bottom' which makes them just right for my larger files. This means that I can use my 'traditional' Rexel hanging files for smaller sets of documents and use these new, black crystalfiles for the larger ones - just GREAT!

I love these! Being polypropylene they are much stronger than the old carboard files I have been using. And I love the flat base which creates room for lots of paper to be contained within them without degrading the shape and putting a strain on the hooks (or tearing the file!).They come with 25 clear plastic tabs. However, they are VERY expensive, retailing at £118 for a pack of 25 – that’s nearly £5 each! By contrast you can easily buy a pack of standard (cardboard) suspension files for under £20

Perhaps for more extreme filing in demanding workplaces, or just buy it once and never need to replace it, these heavy duty suspension files are the most robust of all the Rexel/Twinlock range. With the usual easy glide runners, tabs and perforated printable, write on-able cards all included for the full set up, their bases fold into a box shape for extra capacity. So these can be used for stuff as well as documents. Wipe them clean if required!

13.10.2018

These are strong recyclable wipe clean plastic with a good metal hanger and clip in label holder. Depending on how they are folded the capacities are: 150 sheets (15mm), 300 sheets (30mm), 500 sheets (50mm). Some of my manilla suspension files have bent metal hangers or starting to look the worse for wear. Whilst time will tell, these look and feel strong and well made.
