So had this since March, just got round to doing it. My first attempt at one of these, instructions, simple (once I'd got my head round them). I was going to try completing this without the additional paint, however i think it wouldn't be the same without it. Although my painting skills are terrible my construction is fine, i was frustrated with the fact one part broke when i tried to file (yes more money i spent on additional craft stuff). All in all bar the fact i had no stickers in my box and 1 part broke it's not too bad, for me i found it therapeutic and relaxing. I spent probably an additional £20 on top of this initial £10 spend on paints, brushes,

Made this with the help of my 6 year old son. Very small parts which present a challenge for painting. The trick is to paint the decks before assembly and to paint the inside upper rim of the hull white in advance. It saves a lot of grief later. The propellers are recommended as metallic grey but you would have to buy additional paint for that. I just painted them black. You could do with a jewellers eyeglass for some of the transfers and the flags but I managed just about. The paints are water soluble so are well suited to younger helpers. Very pleased with result.

This was a Christmas present for my grandson. He loved it and, although it is a small model, it was just right for his age, 6. He was too young to be able to assemble the model himself so his grandad put it together for him. Some parts are really small and fiddly but for the price it is an excellent starter model of Titanic.

Just the right size and grand child enjoyed watching it being made - suitable for 8 year old plus who is good with fiddly construction

Master piece on show loved it painting titanic and the music to go with it carpet sette kitchen l thought the house had been decorated
