These are first rate storage; strong, well made and available in a diverse range of sizes for different uses. I have purchased them in a number of sizes to date, and just ordered some more:0.3 and 0.7L - small boxes which are ideal for in draw storage, or use in multiples for DIY storage (screws, washers etc).1.7L - a new size (as at June 13), which is great for larger in draw storage, first aid kits, small sewing kits etc.3L - designed for CDs in their cases. I bought these to store discs in paper wrappers which are unfortunately not a great fit, but CDs in cases fit perfectly in one direction, and DVDs in cases fit perfectly the other way.9L - These are ideal for pairs of mens shoes (which are stored upright but toe to heel),for A4 size magazines, papers or just some of life's 'bits 'n bobs' such as numerous chargers, spare AV cables etc etc. I think these are the most practical multi purpose size I have purchased.35L - great for book storage and 18 typical hardbook books fit in one box which makes for moderately heavy, but still manageable, storage. As at July 2013 Ryman are offering a 2 for £20 on their own site.64L - These are ideal for clothes storage; anything much heavier would probably be unmanageable if you filled the box. I did purchase these from the High Street though as there is currently (Jul 2013) a 2 for £20 offer at Staples. It is worth noting that some sizes come in 'standard' and 'extra strong' which are a couple of pounds more expensive each and are only available in white rather than clear. The standard ones seem plenty strong enough, but it might be worth considering the extra strong if you wanted to carry tools around in a work van for example. As mentioned above, it can be worth checking prices between suppliers on these, and some are often better than others or specialise, for example Ryman are great for the very small sizes.

I do like a good storage box, whether for food or other detritus around the home and I discovered Really Useful boxes around five years ago. They come in lots of different shapes and sizes and you need to be wary that you are comparing like for like as boxes can be the same capacity but a different shape. The boxes are incredibly strong overall and some of mine have survived being dropped onto the garage floor without being damaged (and also protecting the contents). In fact, my wooden garden table fell onto one of these boxes; the box survived without any damage whatsoever but my table was a different story... They are designed to be stackable and the lids clip onto the base via two handles, which hold it firmly in place.I have around 50 or 60 in total and they are mostly put to use in the loft and garage, storing things like bird seed, paperwork, tools, garden equipment, Christmas decorations and so on; there is even a Really Useful box designed to be the right size to store LP records (and I can vouch for the fact LPs fit in perfectly). As long as the boxes are the same dimensions on the base, each will stack very neatly onto the one below and the bottom of the higher box is held in place by the raised edge of the lid of the lower, so there is no chance of them accidentally falling over. As they are also clear, you can see what's in them as well, although for stacked boxes a label stuck on the front is very helpful. If you like being organised, I think you will like the Really Useful range of boxes. I have not regretted my purchases, even though I have owned them for several years and they are subjected to extremes of temperature, being mostly used in the attic and garage.

Strong, robust, transparent plastic boxs which when filled with up to 5 really useful hobby trays and either the 9 litre or 9 litre xl lids make superb gaming miniature storage containers for a fraction of the price of other storage solutions. From the RUB web site you can get extra accessories: hobby trays and xl lids for around £ 2.50 each, the boxes will hold up to 5 trays each of which have 15 compartments for a total of 75 compartments. I collect the Dungeons & Dragons sets, the early sets had 72 figures and the later ones had 60, the last few sets only had 40! However, the compartments are suitable for quite a few 28mm figures each but trouble occurs when you have large monster sculptures such as dragons, giants and demons. The trays do not lay flat. Solution? Use an xl lid - I found the 19 litre lid fits the 9 litre box which allows you to either add an extra tray layer or leave it for space for the bigger figures to stand up. If you buy a 9 litre box and 4 hobby trays and an xl lid you get a box to store a complete set of D&D figures for around £17 to £20! Stick a label on each end and a checklist for the set on top and you have the perfect storage solution for your gaming miniatures, you'll save around £20 at least (foam will be extra). I also print out numbers to line each compartment so you can keep tabs on what miniature goes where. One last thing if you turn the fifth tray upside down you can have tall miniatures and smaller figures on the fourth tray and they won't get mixed up whilst being transported as the upside tray forms an enclosed box whilst inside the box and lid. Sorted!

I don't know how I coped before I started buying the Really Useful line of storage containers. From mini-sized for hobbies, (and little other little bits) to underbed storage - at last I have an idea where most of my things are. I couldn't maintain a household without them! Most customers who provide a review only have really good things to say about the difference these wonderful containers make to easing up one of the most serious household issues we all have, and that is practical storage for our everyday and not-so-everyday items.I highly recommend these containers. They will surely help you organise your life - they even include wonderful little sheets in each container, listing the sizes available to help you plan your requirements.I have only one desire regarding these containers - it would be so great if there was an area on the outside of each container - top of the lid, each end, and each side - that would hold a label insert/frame/slot large enough for really easy contents identification. I don't like using sticky labels as they would leave sticky residue on the container that would accumulate dirt! . That would mean a design change I know, but it would sure be really, really handy!

I have these "Really useful" really useful storage boxes all over my craft room. I have cutting dies stored in them, paper, pens, scissors etc and I have had most of my tubs for over 9 years. In this size box (9litre) I have paperwork, bank statements, old certificates and general paperwork that seems to accumulate much to quickly over the years. The blue handles are strong. The nice thing about these boxes is that when they get dusty (and boy they do), you can just use a wetwipe to clean them and they are spotless. In all that time I have had them, I have only broken one lid and it was my fault, I dropped the top box which was stacked on top of about 10 others and it tumbled to the ground. These boxes are almost indestructible. There are endless uses for them and I seem to never have enough even though I am always adding to my ever growing collection of them. I have occassionally been tempted away from these boxes and have always regretted buying others. They stack neatly on top of one another and the selection of sizes are great. Just a little tip, they do go on special quite often so it is worth bookmarking them and checking back from time to time to see if they have gone down in price.

These boxes have revolutionised my storage requirements. Due to their aesthetically pleasing exterior and superior build quality they have slotting right in to my life much like they slot on top of each other when stacking. The translucent material allows me to quickly identify the contents of the box without having to go through all that effort of opening each box... this saves me both time and effort and time. A word of warning though. These boxes may not be suitable for storing whips, chains, bondage outfits or dildos if you want to keep them hidden from visiting eyes, however if you wish to scare your guests, these boxes might be perfect.Maybe put one full of porn on your dresser at your next dinner party and watch the growing discomfort work its way through the awkward aura you have created while obliviously scoffing down your Viennese Whirl.Another way to use this box would be to catch the abnormally large spiders that are invading UK homes this year (2014) and place them all in this box with a series of miniature weapons made out of tinfoil and have a fight to the death... maybe chuck in a few wasps and ants and watch your mini apocalypse unfold.

I have used Really Useful Boxes for many, many, years now and their name says it all really ! I have used the really tiny ones up to his size and never had a single problem at all, they at great to stack, as long as the same general size that is of course, and the lids are so easy to click on and off. I have used then in the house itself, in the loft and in the garage, and they really tide the pace up, keeping all the dust out as well, I even had a leak in the garage roof, and although they have no claim to be waterproof. everything inside them was dry. Other people have listed the sizes and uses, and to be honest there are so many situations that these boxes are goof for,and you can even have them colour coded if you wish but I usually go for the clear so you can easily see what is stored inside. There are some 'imitations' out there but if you want the best there are the ones to buy !

As indicated in the headline; if you put the lid on it has six sides; three sets of two parallels. If you take the lid off, it changes and suddenly you are left with only five sides, of which only two sets are parallel pairs; it's almost magic, and it is hours of fun!Something I discovered by accident which was an unexpected bonus: When I was playing around with it, I accidentally dropped a pen into it. This gave me an idea, and before long I had managed to clean up a cupboard of cables and contain them within the box. This suddenly made the cupboard much more tidy, and now enables me to easily move the cables about. The only downside is that when I want to play with the box,I now have to pour out all the cables, but its fairly easy, and is an okay compromise for the added bonus as a tidying up device.I might put a video clip up on YouTube on how I did this!

I have 4 of these and each holds 40 CD's and 6 DVD's at once. You could reorganize to change the ratio but I mainly use them for CD storage. As mentioned above, they hold 40 CD's each (you really need the DVD's to prop the CD's up) which is a decent amount and they lock together when you stack them as they have grooves in the lids that the bases fit into. The cases are very strong, they are advertised as holding a mini up if one was placed under each wheel and this is completely believeable. Overall they just compact your CD collection really well and make it much easier to move around as well as offering amazing protection. Please note that the 40 CD capicty really does need 6 DVD's to prop them up at the side, and I'm quoting 40 for standard jewel cases. However you can squeeze some of the larger two disc digipaks in the place of some of jewel cases.

These boxes are fantastic. Let me just come out and say that they are probably the most versatile product ever crafted by human hands. If you don't believe me, read this: these boxes be used to store pens, t-shirts, small bottles of soda, chocolate bars, smoked kippers, toilet paper, academic textbooks, lightbulbs, small animals, files, a blanket, meatballs, ladies hats, mens hats, sneakers, toothbrushes (including electric models!), power adapters, fingers, hard drives, records, staplers, hole-punchers, miniature candy, regular-size candy, soap, picture frames, neuroscience papers, posters of Elvis, hair, football boots, jackets, non-iron shirts..The possibilities are endless!

Variety of sizes for every shelf and cupboard. De-cluttering with the Marie Kondo process in my house and I've been using these boxes and the lids to store every kind of item from scarves and gloves to irritating small but necessary homeless items, to wrapping paper and ribbons etc. They are easy to pull out to see what's sitting in the cupboard and finding stuff is so much easier. Easy to stick a label on the boxes and to see what's in them. Never loved tiding up so much!!

I ordered 4 of these as I have got rid of a chest of drawers and needed storage space. So I got 4 as I can stack them in the wardrobe. They definitely fit A4 with a little space around the edge - so it doesn't just fit A4, there is plenty of room.I have literally filled mine with rubbish and my what a lot of rubbish these fit in! Definitely worth the money and I highly recommend, and they stack very well and the handle clips are very secure. Great buy.

I bought these to store and stack various DIY and garden tools. I can see at a glance what is in them. Do I still have some sheets of sandpaper? Where are the attachments for the drill? Where are the secateurs? Where are my spare work gloves? Didn't I have some goggles somewhere? Where are the paintbrushes? It takes much of the annoyance out of preparing to do a job, i.e. gathering all your stuff together before you lose the will to start the task!
