My friend encouraged me to purchase this after seeing her use yours to achieve her flawless foundation look. I did some research into this version and it's competitor - the beauty blender.I found even after purchasing that i made the right decision. The miracle complexion sponge can be used both damp and dry to put on your foundation and if you feel like cream blush! The pointed end is perfect for targeting those troublesome break outs without pushing the concealer around your face. This is vital to me as i find that i have trouble covering up my spots with a regular brush or concealer applicator. The flat edge of the sponge is what separates the beauty blender from the miracle complexion sponge. It enables you to pack the foundation into the nooks and crannies of your face - particularly under your eyes. I found this to be vital when applying foundation on top of your concealer. Using the rounded edge i fear would push and disrupt the products when coating over each other. You can also use the rounder edge to apply your make up to the remaining parts of your face or as suggested by Nic and Sam - to apply cream blush. It works perfectly along your cheekbone and perhaps would even be great for contouring. The colour is also adorable, a bright happy orange that would not be able to hide in your make up bag should you need to find it.I would recommend this product to any one who finds using brushes leaves a streaky finish to your foundation.

I absolutely love my Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge. I had wanted to buy the original beauty blender but thought the price was far too high for a simple sponge. I decided to buy the Real Techniques version as it was cheaper and I had heard many good things. I do not regret my purchace at all; I use this sponge every single day. Of course it is a little bit of an effort washing it with baby shampoo after each use but I find it to wash very well. Once a week I use an oil based cleanser to wash my sponge with and it completely brings the sponge back to life and looks brand new. If you have never used a beauty blender before, dampen the sponge by putting it under the water tap and then squeeze out the excess; pump out some of your foundation directly onto the sponge and then tap onto your face. If you want to have a more accurate application place little dots of foundation onto your face then blend with the damp sponge. Using a sponge will make your foundation more shear and less heavy. The sponge can also be used to apply concealer or cream blusher or cream contour etc. I know a lot of women prefer sponge application than brush thesedays and find it a lot faster. Yes, it is rather costly but I find if you take care of your item using the baby shampoo / oil based cleanser technique it will last a lot longer. I highly recommend this brand. If you can buy in multipacks to save money.

5 stars is not enough for these sponges. They are completely fabulous.I've never used a beauty blender so can't compare but these sponges are so easy to use - they come with great instructions! I use mine damp with 1 pump of Foundation and I get an incredible flawless airbrushed finish. It's amazing. The finish is nicer than with a brush and these are quicker and easier to clean.I clean mine after each use with baby shampoo until the water runs clear and have had no issues at all. People have mentioned online issues where there sponges get a bit hard from soap buildup. I have not noticed this.I have not sterilised mine but after about 6 weeks mine was getting ratty and cracking so I used theother in the packet and chucked the ratty one.Until I read the packaging I didn't realise these were meant to be disposable but apparently they are. I don't think I helped the longevity of mine by cleaning it so frequently/ aggressivly but I worry about germs. If you are questioning giving these a try, don't. They are fantastic. They are super soft and I have no complaints, they are also a really good price on Amazon

The only makeup sponge I rely on!I’ve been honestly in love with this makeup sponge for years now. If you’ve tried it you’ll know why.Unlike the other shaped beauty blenders I find the shape and texture of this sponge so much better for getting in every little corner of my face. I like to use quite a bit of foundation to cover my reddish skin, and using the little tip and the curved edge really helps.I use the “bump” method, rather than smearing foundation or powder onto my skin I bump it on quite quickly and it soaks into my skin without the sponge soaking up lots of product. The only issue I’ve come across is that when cleaning the sponge it tends to start to tear (only a little bit)after a few washes. Or maybe I’m too heavy handed when I wash it through! The NYX foundation that I use is quite thick and does tend to stain the sponge surface and make it look not quite as pretty, but it always cleans up well.I know some people swear by brushes or even using their fingers to apply their makeup, but at this point I don’t think I could use anything other than this. It really is just that great!

I am a man in his forties who has never used makeup in his life. I have a facial disfigurement however which has worsened with age to the extent I have to deal with constant questions and comments from other people - although I do not really mind this (used to it) it has proved problematic at times. I basically look like I have a large bruise below my eye. Due to this I saw a skin camouflage practitioner recently and was prescribed a couple of products to cover the area, the first being a type of 'foundation' fixed in place with powder. Applying this with my finger was difficult and the sponge supplied with the product fairly useless.Based on reviews I bought a pack of these and they are fantastic - I am able to build up the cover through a dabbing action and the small size allows me to navigate around my eye with ease. I haven't tried to clean it yet but keep it in a small airtight box so it does not dry out, a month on the first sponge is as good as new. I accept my opinion is somewhat uninformed, but hopefully it may be useful to somebody.

My favourite brand of cosmetic sponges - superior to the BB in my opinion as they have a flat side. Texture and longevity wise, very little difference. The swell up and soften nicely when water is added. In the case of these mini sponges, they are slightly larger than the BB's lime green teardrop minis too, which I feel are a little too small. These are fantastic multi taskers for the undereye area, nose, applying contour, blush and highlight, as well as erasing smudges and blending - and with this pack of four, you can assign each colour to a different task. The finish you can achieve with these sponges is so much nicer than makeup applied with a brush or fingers.Regarding cleaning,I have never had a problem getting all the makeup stains off by using a naturally anti bacterial tea tree shampoo, rinsing, and then following with a gentle foaming facial cleanser to remove any shampoo residue. These sponges are latex free so are good for allergy sufferers and are great value for money. Highly recommended.

Great foundation blender, very good value for money. The quality is that good that I've got my granddaughter a pk. To be honest I like all the real techniques brushes I've purchased, so I should have known this would be great. There is tutorial on YouTube, but basically you need to soak in water, squeez all water out, it expands to about twice it's size, the pointy end for localised blending (by patting) on blemishes, the flat end is great for under eye... the 'round body' for putting on foundation - which ever part you use, best to pick up a bit of foundation up with the blender and lightly bounce (sort of pat) the blender all over to blend,I have found that it's best to apply concealer to the area of the face then blend - but that's just me... there will be other ways. To clean, just use makeup brush cleanser and cool running water doesn't take long and the blender lasts a long time.Bottom line, fantastic blender, it's the only one I use now.

I usually use my fingers for applying foundation - I know this isn't ideal, especially as I have oily skin, but I have never really gotten on with foundation brushes - even the highly rated ones. They just seem to create streak marks and never seem to really blend my foundation in. I was very doubtful of this because of this reason but this sponge is so good! Simply dampen it by running it under cold water, squeeze out the excess and dab it into your foundation (ideally on the back of your hand), then lightly dab it onto your face. I really thought it wouldn't blend well at all but I was left with a flawless finish - so impressed.(Used with Kat Von D Lock It foundation fyi)I can't compare it with the more expensive brands but I can't see what more you could want from it to be honest. I highly recommend it!

It gets the job done. I use it dry for powder foundation or setting powder application and the flat edge gives my skin nice even coverage. And on the other hand I use it damp or having wet it to get that amazing bounce to apply my liquid foundation. And as someone that has blemishes like I do, the pointy end is perfect for concealing spots and getting into the creases under my eyes.In short, the Miracle complexion sponge is:Versatile, Affordable and Easy to use.Only negative I can think of is my inability to clean it as much as I'd like. The product tends to stain the sponge overtime, but in all fairness that is expected and is why the duo is perfect. You can replace the one you've used to it's potential with the second one and VOILA! These sponges are excellent and the value from Amazon is great, too. I was so happy with the price. They are soft straight away and do not require a lot of moisture to become diverse for a range of make-up uses. I mainly use these to apply my foundation and they ensure a smooth, even coverage with no patches. The various angles ensure that you can reach in all the curves and contours of your face. Speaking of contours, they are excellent for contouring also, if you apply your contour with the pointed end and blend it out using the edge or the opposite flat end it gives a great effect and it's much easier than doing this with a brush, and quicker too.I would definitely recommend these, and actually prefer them to the official Beauty Blender, which I found coarse on my face and not very supple.

I got this for Christmas and I'm in love with it! It's the absolute best face tool I own. I use it for blending, baking, and foundation. You have a lot more control with the coverage of your foundation (i.e. blotting or dabbing for a more full coverage vs swiping for a lighter, more sheer coverage). Because it still has a little bit of product on it after application, it's perfect for doing touch ups once everything else is done. There isn't really anything bad I could say about this product and I have recommended this to everybody I know that uses makeup. The ONLY con of this product is that when I tried washing it like I have done in the past with other sponges like this,it kinda went all weird on the flat top area. Not sure what that was about, but it eventually went back to normal.

Hands down, these are the best make up sponges I have used. I have been using them for years, after trying them on a whim as a cheaper alternative to the Beauty Blender and I have never looked back! These sponges are the perfect consistency, not too dense but not too flimsy. They hold just the right amount of water when damp to apply make up seamlessly but without being drippy and messy. They don't seem to absorb too much make up either. They are lovely to hold and use, very ergonomic. The flat side is excellent for applying foundation to the larger planes of the face like cheeks, chin and forehead, while the pointed end is great for getting foundation and concealer in around the eyes and nose. They wash well and last a very long time if looked after, and are great value for money.

The sponge does the job at applying foundation with a professional-looking finish. This particular product bought from Amazon seems to be the genuine product, with the sponge expanding quite a noticeable amount with water, and shrink again to its original shape and size when dried. One downside, not particularly due to the quality of the product itself, but as a general downside, is that the sponge needs to be replaced once in a while, as even though every time after I've used it I would clean it, it still can become mouldy easily. My tip would be to: not be lazy, and wash it every time after you've used it, every time yes, and leave it to dry under the sun or on the radiator (this double measure would undoubtedly prevent your sponge from getting ruined):) Have a good day!

I got this makeup blending sponge a couple months ago, not really thinking it would be different from ones I previously tried. And I was very wrong in thinking that. The shape of this sponge is absolutely perfect for blending any kind of base and contour. I have an uneven, bumpy skin and very very dark circles under my eyes. This sponge allows me to properly blend pretty much any foundation I wish to use that day, and before I was limited to only one that would seem to sit well on skin! This sponge is also much easier to clean - it doesn't feel sticky or tacky once I wash it, and even after 2 months of daily use I am on number one from the two -pack!I use the sponge to put on the finishing layer of powder as well.Works like magic.
