I've got a few different reusable coffee cups and what drew me to this one, aside from it looking quite nice, is that it's leak proof. Most cups that are leakproof tend to be more robust, flask type affairs.Nothing is ever perfect though, so what holds it back from full marks are the following:- When drinking through the lid, there always seems to be a tiny bit of liquid left in the cup when you are finished, which you just can't seem to be able to get without taking the lid off.- I tend to order short lattes or flat whites, so I liked the form factor of the smaller size. I've found however that some Barista's will fill right up to the top, you then can't put the lid on because it protrudes down into the cup and spills it.I've had a few incidents where I thought I'd got enough clearance but then had coffee coming out of the sides when I screwed the top on. With hindsight, maybe I should have gone for the bigger size.- Cleaning the lid properly by hand is a bit fiddly, you have to use an implement like a spoon to prise the top section off. You can then clean the top area, but the lower area you still have to try and jam a brush in to get it clean. So it's not like you can just rinse it all under a tap and be done with it. The prising off of the top bit, which is also the button to lock the drink also seems like a weak-point where the plastic could overtime deform and no longer hold in place.

So I have a problem.I'm a little OCD. I take a long time to come to a decision (well I want to make a good decision so do a LOT of research first) but once I've made a decision, that's it. I'm in. 100%.My rcup arrived today (well two cups actually, I bought one for myself and my other half). I'm already sold. I got a takeaway coffee from my local coffee shop this morning and although they tried to charge me for a medium (I bought an 8oz cup but the build quality and extra insulation probably make it look a bit like a 12oz cup) I eventually convinced them that was my regular small 8oz size.Later in the day I used it at my desk as a cup for my hot water. No ickky plastic taste. So where's the problem? My problem is that I now know I won't ever be able to order a coffee in a one use cup again. So If I head out without my rcup in my bag... I'm goosed. And no one wants to see me without my morning coffee ;)

This cup is great, I was a little uncertain after reading some of the reviews on here but really pleased I want ahead and ordered it.I have been most impressed with the leakproofing - absolutely faultless - I have been able to put a steaming hot cup of tea in, close it and turn it upside down completely, not one drop comes out. The lid is quite clever and means that steam will only push the seal tighter, I feel really confident throwing this in my bag without a worry. The cup saves 6 disposable cups from being put in a landfill so even though it uses virgin plastic in part, I'm pleased that it's taking more plastic out of landfills that it will put in.The cup hasn't had any affect on the drinks (I've used it for tea, squash and water) at all.

Love it. It’s just large enough for a standard cup of tea. No leaks at all and I’ve been using it every day for about 3 weeks now. It fits in my bag nicely, I don’t worry about leaks and i feel like I’m making a difference in not using paper cups at work.Would recommend reading about the seal when it has hot drinks, it’s best to unscrew the lid completely to allow steam out as the pop top mechanism gets stiff if left closed on a hot drink, but it’s not caused me any issues and I use to get the same issue on my old Aladdin cup. Difference being this one and it’s lid can go in the dishwasher, where as other cups I’ve had couldn’t and had to be hand washed. The rcup has improved my mornings.

Brilliant cup with intuitive design and a very respectable eco friendly origins. I was unfortunately sent the wrong size. I ordered the smaller size as it would fit perfectly in my handbag and car cup holder however I was sent a 12oz size instead of the advertised 8oz. Not realising there were two sizes, as they only sell one, I excitedly used my cup right away. Once I realised I had been sent the wrong size I contacted the seller who after asking me to send proof in the way of photos of my cup, offered me a 50% refund. I found this to be fair and went on to purchase a second in the 8oz size. Now my partner and I have one each which we enjoy on cold mornings outside. Recommended!

I love the design - not just the looks but the pop-up lid. It's innovative and reassuringly leak proof. The biggest issue I have is taking off the pop-up lid to clean underneath. The instructions say it is designed to be prised off, but it feels like I could break it if you apply too much force taking it off. The first rCup I received was a gift for my wife and it broke the first time I took the pop-up lid off. rCup sent a replacement cup immediately (great service) but it's left my confidence in cleaning it a bit shaky. It's almost enough to drop a whole star, but I'm hoping it's a matter of time and practice to take the lid off without worrying about breaking it again.

Love this product! I didn’t buy this off amazon but a local shop. It is leak proof, I just shove it in my bag on my way to work without a second thought. Really handy that you can drink from any angle. And love the ethos of the cup. Having bought a chilly bottle which caused me not to buy bottled water I wanted to do the same for coffee as I buy a lot of take out. This is great because any coffee shop I’ve been in will just fill it up and you are ready to go (most places now give you discount too when you bring your own cup). My only thought on it is it doesn’t keep it hot for too long (doesn’t bother me as I drink it nearly straight away).

If you are looking for a re-usable insulated mug that is not bamboo (think pandas, chemicals to process?) then this is the one to buy. I like that it is made from recycled plastic cups (6of them to make one rcup). I take it to the pool where I get 20% off my drink when using it, in the garden, where it stays pretty hot for a couple of hours and in my sewing room where I’m always leaving drinks to go cold. A good £11 worth. I just bought another for a gardening/sewing friend. Well done Cornwall.

I have a 20 minute motorway journey in the morning and this is perfect! I'm not a fan of massive cups of coffee (I'd even consider Starbucks and Costa small size drinks to be verging on a bit much) so this size is perfect. Fits in a standard cup holder. With the lid locked there is no leaks or spills, and pops open with one click, and can be drunk from any where on the top edge like a normal cup. I'll definitely consider buying another

Brought for my elderly father who is very pleased with it as it:-a/ enables him to sip his hot drink over time without it getting cold.b/ Easily take it with him whilst using his walking frame.c/ doesn't spill or leak providing reassurance.d/ is easy to drink from.Looks and feels good quality and manufacturing company looks authentically ethical and green.Should have gone for the next size up as slightly on the small side.

Bought this as a replacement after losing my cork/glass KeepCup... the ones that cost £30 and barely keep your drink warm but look cute on Instagram? Yeah, those. This is SO MUCH BETTER. The lid is actually leakproof, the design is much easier to hold, and the construction out of recycled cups makes a great conversation starter. Plus it's much cheaper than the other options! I love the colour as well.

Fantastic customer service from Recyclingforreal. I had issues with the delivery when it was lost in the post. I told Recyclingforreal and they immediately sent another first class expedited. The cup itself is good quality, sturdy and looks good. It's clear it's made of recycled material but stylish too.Would definitely buy again from Recyclingforreal and happy with the product.

This is a great purchase ... I’ve now been able to completely stop buying single use coffee cups. I’ve not tested the lid with a full cup but after drinking I usually drop it into my bag and I’ve not had any residue leakage... coffee shops are generally happy to serve you their coffee in these cups and occasionally discount your purchase. I would recommend this cup ?

Bought for my husband who was throwing away far too many disposable cup for my liking! He wasn't sure about the colour (they do all seem to be a bit girly), but he is really pleased with it - it is properly leak-proof, and the open/close action feels really nice quality. Qute expensive, but what cost do you put on the environment. Would 100% recommend.

Really nice to drink from and definitely leak proof (I always have to test these things and despite my unreasonable attempts to make it leak, it hasn’t yet!), this is a really nice cup.I should have bought the larger version as the lid does take up a fair amount of capacity inside the cup, but that is about as critical as I could possibly be.
