ITEM: Black Frame - Crystal Green - Polarized LensPROS: The quality of the glasses are great - authentic, solid 7-finger hinges, acetate frame, good anti-glare, great polarized filter, hefty/substantial weight. Excellent customer service for exchanges.CONS: White lettering inside the arms began peeling/flaking off after a week.I ordered a pair through Amazon. Love the style and fit of the sun glasses. I looked up techniques to determine the authenticity of Ray Ban Wayfarers. These are 100% legit. However, the painted lettering inside the arms began flaking off after a week (i.e. the "WAYFARER" text inside the right-arm). I only wore them once to the beach (walked around the pier for 2 hours until sunset & stayed out of the sand).I requested for a replacement, which was easy/no-hassle. Currently waiting for the replacements to arrive. I'll update when I get them in.Also, when I first took the glasses out of the box, I noticed that there was a bit of grease between the pins. The glasses have pins that bolt the hinges onto the frame. I'd imagine that if someone were to wipe the glasses with a cloth, it would be difficult to wipe this area between the pins because of how they protrude above the surface. I can't tell if this grease is from the finishing process from the factory, or sweat from a previous owner. This could be a used pair, but I honestly can't tell.Of lesser note, when I took my first look at the glasses, I also noticed that the white lettering on the inner-side of the arms was also a bit cracked - almost imperceptibly. This could be due to factory variation. While this detail doesn't matter to me, I'm throwing this in for anyone to which it does.Overall, the quality is top notch, however, I suspect that I may have received a refurbished/defective pair.Update: the second pair I got is just like the first. Greasy between he pins and "Wayfarer" lettering is scratched. So 2 out of the 2 glasses that I've received from Amazon are like that. Granted that's not a large sample size, but at this point, I'm guessing they're all like this.

Anytime I buy sunglasses, especially well-known brand name ones (such as Ray Bay, Oakley, etc), I am a little concerned that I might be sent low-quality Chinese-made counterfeit versions. I can say that the sunglasses that were delivered to me passed all the authenticity tests. You can go to google and search for Ray Bay authenticity and find various ways to check. This is my third Wayfarers. Although I no longer have any of my previous, Bausch & Lomb Wayfarers for comparison purposes, these Luxottica Wayfarers met my expectations.Thankfully, Luxottica has not (yet) moved production of these to China.UPDATE:I bought another set of sunglasses. The previous ones were 50mm ( I could have swore I ordered 54mm).I gave them to my son and ordered 54mm. Again, the glasses that arrived were authentic, as far as I could tell. They passed all the authenticity tests. This time, the seller was Amazon LLC.Anyway, I heard, but I don't know if it's true, that all Ray-Ban frames are made in China. The frames have "Made in Italy" on them. So if this is true, then the glasses are actually only *assembled* in Italy. And maybe Italian law lets them get away with saying "Made in Italy". I don't know. Hopefully, someone can shed some more light on the matter.

I've been wearing the Original Wayfarer sunglasses for over 35 years. Back then, you didn't need to call them "Original", because there was only one Ray-Ban Wayfarer. Ray-Ban now makes a newer version that they say is a modern interpretation of the Original. They say the "New Wayfarer" looks more natural on your face. The angles of the lenses are drastically toned down, and the lenses are smaller and more natural looking. I couldn't agree more. That's why I don't like the "New Wayfarer".A friend told me he always loved my Wayfarers, but never bought a pair because he didn't think they looked natural on his face. That's when I explained to him that they don't look natural on ANYONE'S face, and that's the point. People wear them BECAUSE they look don't look natural. That's why so many A-List celebrities wear Original Wayfarers. It's all about attitude. When I explained this to my friend, he finally "got it", and that changed everything for him. He realized they didn't look any more natural on my face than his, but they did fit my attitude. I wear them with pride, and I'm equally comfortable wearing them in T-shirts and jeans as I am at a black tie event.

Great sunglasses, can definitely tell they're real by how good the lenses are. They make things look better and actually block the sun, unlock fake glasses which just make everything a shade darker and still make you want to squint when looking toward the sun.I got the black ones with green polarized lenses. Honestly the lenses look black to me, and that's pretty much what I wanted anyways. The only complaint I have is that they are angled down, and I wish they sat straight on my face. This is just a stylistic preference, but it's something I can live with for the quality and price. It is kind of silly to be angled down though, because the sun can sometimes sneak in through the top if it's at the perfect angle above you.Again, not a deal-breaker for me though. I'm happy with the purchase.

From a style standpoint, these glasses are gorgeous. From a functionality standpoint, the lenses could stand to be a bit darker. I've never owned polarized glasses before and they do reduce eyestrain and glare, but using a phone while wearing them can be a chore. They're remarkably durable. Typically if I'm wearing a pair of sunglasses and bonk my head into something (a doorframe getting in and out of a car seems to be typical) they're forever off kilter. These have been bonked at least 2-3 times with no signs of trouble. Additionally they took a trip to multiple beaches and went into the ocean at one point - no scratches, hinges work great, still look and feel like new.Glad they came with a case :-)

I had been looking at getting some Wayfarers for a while but couldn't justify buying them at the price mall retailers were selling them for. So i started looking around online and seeing what people thought about buying them online.after trying a few pairs out at the mall and finding the style and size I wanted, I went for these. I chose polarized because I do a lot of driving and have found polarized glasses much better for this job.the glasses arrived promptly, there is no doubt that they are genuine (just make sure to buy from amazon, and not other retailers selling through amazon if you're concerned), and the price difference, even with shipping to Canada included, made this is a great deal.

I had these glasses about 6 years ago. They were my favorite pair and I ended up losing them while on a road trip. I finally decided to pull the trigger and buy them again. Classic style, high quality plastic construction, still fit so perfectly. The third party seller screwed up my oder TWICE and sent the 54mm (large) version. The classic standard Wayfarers are the 50mm version. Amazon was quick to refund my money both times and replacements were shipped overnight at no cost. Kudos to Amazon for getting this sorted out.Anyway, really looking forward to rocking these glasses on the beach this summer and down in the Caribbean on my honeymoon this fall..

The sunglasses are great. As far as I can tell they're legit with all the markings and stuff on the frames and lenses. The packaging was good too. Ray-Bans are good quality and feel very sturdy and these Wayfarers are no exception. The one thing that was odd, was I got a separate box from the seller (bigger than the box the sunglasses shipped in). In this separate box all by itself, with no documentation or explanation, was a "nut milk bag", which apparently you can use to make milk from tree nuts. Why a sunglass company sent that to me or why they even had it in inventory I have no idea. I wasn't charged for it, but man was I confused.

I have worn wayfarers since finding a pair on the street, if you can believe, and because I didn't pay for them a friend asked if he could have them, which I was fine with. Later, my sister would buy herself and me a pair, and had those until the actually slipped off and split down the center of the bridge, it happens. Kept the temples for back up pair. Yet, here I am again, getting another pair, while going through this Mercury retrograde I have lost my RBs, and they had a croakies, but once you slip them off and lay them down, well, that brings me to now, getting another pair as a valentine's gift from my man. Go with what you like.

After spending way too much time on YouTube researching how to spot fake Ray-Bans, I am positive that these are authentic. I purchased these from Amazon and did not even consider other sellers. All of the following appear authentic: the lettering/writing on the frame/lenses, the etched letters in the frame, the angle of the lenses where they meet the arms, the metal supports in the arms, the appearance of the hinge, the metal insert runs all the way through the arms, the stitching/lettering/shape of the case, and the graphics/UPC codes on the box. As far as the product itself, Ray-Ban always delivers quality and style.

This is the "Jack Nicholson" model. He's worn them for years. They're sturdy, retro and look good on many face types, and they have a certain cache' because he wears them and many know it. I have a similar pair from another manufacturer, and immediately people said I look like him when I wear them, so I decided to try a pair. I got the Polaroid lens version in the green of the originals. I get a lot of compliments on them, but got them mostly because I liked the look. I got the added plus of their quality. Ray Bans are expensive, but when you find what you like, you buy, and the quality makes them worth it.

Delivered in time and in good condition. Mine came with the Ray Ban marked soft case and cloth for cleaning the glasses. They appear to be just as good as the ones in store so I would recommend getting them from Amazon if you wanted a pair in store.Giving them 4 stars because they are leaving a mark across the bridge of my nose if I wear there for just a few minutes. They do not hurt, which made the mark surprising. I don't normally wear glasses or sun glasses so I'm hoping that with some time it won't be so bad when I take them off. Other than this annoyance I really like these glasses.

I've owned several pairs or Original Wayfarers over the years because they are the perfect everyday sunglasses. They wrap tight around your head, look good, and also block the sun!A lot of people say they'd rather just buy gas cheap gas station sunglasses so they don't have to worry about breaking or losing them... These don't break easily, the lenses don't scratch easily, and you will care about them more because you will enjoy wearing them. I've definitely gotten my money's worth. There's a reason these things have been around forever. Solid construction. Classic look.

First, I recieved these a day early, which was a very welcomed surprise.Once I opened the box, I noticed right away the quality of the glasses. They had a very sturdy weight to them, which is not to say they were heavy. At first I thought that the lense was scratched, but when I looked closer I saw a small RB etched into the lower left lense. The polarization is very nice and clear. I have heard that in winter months the snows glare can be a bit overwhelming, so we will see. If I had to, I would buy again, however, I have a feeling these will be around for some time.

I just got these sunglasses in the mail today. While they were shipping I found out there was a lot of talk about some counterfeit ones being made. I got worried that I would get the non authentic ones so I did some research as to what the real ones are like compared to the fake ones. As far as I can tell they are the real thing, they came with the all the correct components in the box, they have the laser engraving, the angle of the sunglasses is perfect, and last the arms of the sunglasses have the support wire. These sunglasses fit great and come at a great cost!
