Designed as a home or office stapler, this is one with a trick of its own. Most staplers, when folding the staple legs, use an arc as a mould for each of its legs which takes up a little extra space than would a completely flat fold, were it possible. This model's trick is to make it possible with its 'flat clinch' and flattens the legs to take up a minimal space which may help if multiple stacks are to be bound together in some way. It also may be of benefit by holding the paper more tightly than otherwise is typical. This is a chunky stapler, with rounded plastic (designed in Sweden, it says). It feels a lot sturdier than my other (basic Rapesco) stapler. It also has quite a complex mechanism: the base plate squashes down once the staple has passed through the paper, and this flattens the prongs of the staples so they lie quite flat along the back of the paper: there are no little "loops" like you get with most staplers. This lets stacks of stapled documents lie flatter. This Rapid F30 Flatcinch Stapler shouts quality the moment you open the box which includes a box of 1000 standard 26/6 6mm staples. The stapler/staples will staple at least 20 sheets together which is the recommended maximum although it can manage even more. There are no instructions as such but the key features are summarised on the box including the 5 year warranty.The stapler has good ergonomics - it's comfortable to hold or equally at home standing on the desk and its operation is very crisp. The staple plate is sprung (but not reversible like on some staplers) and the rim of the stapler where you instinctively grip it has a rubber coating - it's this kind of attention to detail which puts this stapler ahead.

The humble stapler is one of those invisible pieces of office equipment that everyone uses and nobody ever remarks upon, unless it's to complain that it is not working correctly or has run out of staples.This flat-clinch stapler has a feature of folding the staple "legs" flat, rather than curving them round to pinch the tips against the paper. (In that the stapled documents are much the same as those coming out of a photocopier, rather than a traditional stapler.)I've been using this stapler at work for a month and people have borrowed it an used it happily without issue. Nobody has commented on the "flat clinch" stapling, mainly because I don't think anyone has noticed or cared much about it.

Staplers are one of those simple items that, like toasters, have the power to infuriate if they are not up to the job. There is no point in scrimping on a stapler, always get a quality one. I highly recommend Rexel as a make and hadn't heard of Rapid until now. I was very impressed and it is definitely a stationery brand I'll use in the future.Other than the inners, the stapler is of plastic construction, nicely ergonomic with a slightly bowed base to fit nice in the hand. It's symmetrical so can be used in either hand (I'm a leftie so worry about that stuff!). It comes supplied with 1000 26/6 staples which easily staple together 20 sheets. I tried 25 without an issue (although I would stick with 20 with these particular staples),

My first impressions of the Rapid F30 Flat Clinch Stapler were good. It's satisfyingly chunky (but not too heavy), sits nicely in the hand, and staples with a nice-sounding clunk. It also comes with some staples, which is a bonus (although it uses standard size staples, which can be bought just about anywhere).However, this stapler has a unique selling point, in that the manufacturer claims that, when used, the staples lie flatter than is the case with other staples, so a pile of papers stapled using this stapler will lie flatter. Luckily, on the day that the stapler arrived in the post, I had a requirement to staple 50 identical sets of 3 sheets of paper.

For most people a stapler is a stapler is a stapler. What makes this one stand out is that is that when it presses staples, they fold perfectly hroizontally rather than in an arc. This means that stapled documents will stack more neatly together, saving space and making them easier to carry.There is a slight downside to flat pressed staples, which is that it is easier for them to catch on you fingers and other objects. This does make them easier to remove however.I did not find the chunky curved body of the stapler the easiest to use. I suspect the shape is more to do with aesthetics than with functionality. To be fair my hands are size 10+, which is significantly larger than the norm and someone with small hands is perfectly happy with it.

The unique selling point of this stapler is that the staples sit flatter than those inserted into paper by a standard stapler, meaning that a pile of papers won't have an annoying corner that sticks up where the staples are. As a teacher who regularly has stacks of hand outs with just such annoying corners, I can see the virtue in the "flat clinch" idea and I can confirm that the staples are indeed flatter than normal. It is a relief though that this stapler takes standard 26/6 staple strips easily available anywhere. There's no point in having a fancy piece of kit if you need to search high and low for specialist bits and bobs. There is a box of 1000 staples included in the box to get you started,

This is a good looking stapler to sit on your desk, and fits nicely and smoothly in your hand. It doesn't lift and separate completely so you can insert paper as my old stapler does, or at least the one I was sent doesn't, so you have to fiddle and maneuver the paper in. I didn't try 30 sheets, a mere half dozen, but the staples do lie flatter than my old model. It is the standard size for a normal desk stapler, the base measuring 14cms or just under 6 inches. The heavy duty office staplers with longer bases and a great deal more leverage have always been used for stapling large numbers of sheets together, and I cannot honestly see that practice changing for most people unless they have an unusual job to do at home,

This is a sturdy and well designed stapler, which fits comfortably in the hand or can be used on a desktop. It takes standard 6mm staples and loads in the usual way - just lift up the top and slot the staples in and it is ready to use. The claims which make this stapler a little different from most, is that it claims to flatclinch the staple - that is, the staple is flatter when used, so you don't end up with a pile of paper which has one corner incredibly raised. I work in education and find I am constantly printing and stapling together handouts, so anything which means I can pile up a larger amount of handouts before they all fall on the floor is helpful for me. The moving parts are all metal and the top and bottom is high impact plastic. It will certainly get a lot of use in our home, two teachers, two students and my wife makes her own gift items and is always after the stapler !!!Loading.------------------------This stapler has a simple load system. Just lift the top part and drop the staples in. No more pulling springs back and watching the staples fly across the room !In use.---------As a home stapler it is great for the tasks we have. I was really pleased to be offered this stapler for review, because we use staplers at work all day long, and yet another of them had just bitten the dust!This arrived at the perfect time!First impressions are that it's a very solid, sturdy, good-quality stapler and it certainly does the job well.It additionally claims that the staples clinch the paper in such a way that the metal lies flatter against the papers at the back than with other staplers.This is indeed the case. In my work situation , this is of no real benefit, but if you on the other hand were stapling documents that were then needing to be stacked in a pile, I agree that you would achieve a much flatter pile with this,

This humble hand-held stapler is an excellent product. It has a reassuring weight in one's hand and operates with a precise and unambiguous action. In my surgery we have a dozen laser printers turning out prescriptions all day long. Many days a vast pile of paper is produced which of course has to be kept together, checked, signed and then filed for the patient to pick up. This is made worse by the sheer number of tablets people are on these days! And the fact that many are on blister packs where tablets are pre-loaded by the chemist. The price that the NHS pays for this is that we are required to print them a week at a time and this quadruples our work load and of course the number of pieces

I found this Rapid F30 stapler to be very nicely designed. The smooth curved top section fits comfortably in my palm and my fingers rest naturally on the contoured underside, allowing me just the right amount of pressure to staple through thicker documents. The first think I picked up was a lengthy looking 35 page contract which was stapled with the greatest of ease. The packaging states that the Rapid F30 is suitable for up to 30 pages, but it’s clearly capable of being pushed a little. It’s a pleasing shape, comfortable to hold and use, and it staples things. I had no idea what a flat clinch was until I saw the picture on the box. The folded part of the staple (on the underside after stapling) is normally curved. With this stapler those two arms are flat (ish). The more pages you staple the flatter they get. This, apparently, causes the staples to take up less space and, therefore, allow stacks of stapled paper to take up less vertical room.
