UPDATE:In the end I re-purchased these lights as I had already bought multiple bulbs for 3 lights. To fit the shade, clipping in one side first did work after a number of tries. The instructions state the shade can be pushed straight on, this is not the case. Using this method the gap between the shade and the ceiling is minimised. I will now rate these lights 4/5 instead of 2/5. I have added some photos to show how these look both on and off.----------------------------------------------Seems to be a design flaw with these lights. The shade will not snap into the lighting fixture unless the wire frame is manually flexed upwards, however, then you will find that there is a 1-2cm gap between the ceiling which lets out an irregular circle of light.

Hi, like most I initially struggled to fit the shade onto the fitting and was getting frustrated. However, I have fitted it fine now using a very simple method and only drop a star because the instructions, particularly on fitting, could be made more clear. The shade looks great and goes well with my Scandi styling.The method I used: one of the lips on the ceiling fitting is more pronounced/hooked than the other - hook one side of the shade onto that part of the fitting. Just before you do that place a piece of string, or shoelace, around the opposite fitting bar on the shade (on the side which will go onto the less pronounced side of the ceiling fitting).

Really like the light as it looks simple but with the 3 LED bulbs I fitted gives a decent amount of light. The base was easy to fit and wire up. Fitting the shade though was epic. There were no instructions in the box and it looks as though you should be able to just push it on. Nope. Hooking one side on and pushing didn’t work. After quite a few minutes of frustration I remembered some of the reviews had suggestions. Thanks for those tips.If you loop some string around one of the bumps on the shade the hook the other bump on the larger of the tow (there is a slight difference) and then pull on the string it stretches enough to to click into place.As others have said it doesn’t sit flush with the ceiling but you don’t get too much light escaping that way.

I read quite a few of the reviews before buying so I was skeptical about purchasing, but I went ahead anyway. I'm glad I did as this fitting is actually quite good for the price. I paid around £15 for it and for that price I would recommend it. As you can see from the pictures I have provided the grey material is a little transparent when the light is on and you do get a halo effect on the ceiling. Personally this doesn't bother me. The bottom of the fitting does have a cloudy plastic cover which diffuses light nicely.As for installing, I found it quite straight forward. If you have fitted a light before, you can fit this too. A lot of other reviews have complained about the instructions but I found the pictures fairly clear.

Looks exactly as intended when the light is off. When on, it is apparent that the fabric sides and plastic bottom are a little too thin. You can see the frame & seams on the side, and the plastic bottom doesn't diffuse the light from the individual bulbs much - it's obvious where the 3 bulbs are. Still, it does the job and was fairly priced.Installation was fine. The screws are pretty far from the centre which is unusual for a light fitting (to me) which probably helps the bracket stay flush to the ceiling but also means you're unlikely to know whether you're screwing into joists are not. I was expecting it to be somewhat hard to install due to previous reviews, and indeed it wasn't easy. I had to hold them up for a long time while attaching the wires, which wasn't the most comfortable thing, and attaching the shade to the metal plate involves a bit of guesswork and many attempts until you get it right. That could definitely be designed a bit better.That said, it was a very cheap shade and it looks great, it does soften the lights enough so they don't bother you but still let a good amount of light out, with 3 lamps, to make a bedroom very bright. If well installed the shade can get quite flush to the ceiling, which looks good as well.I installed 3 Philips Hue E14 lamps,

For those struggling to fit the shade, ignore the instructions (helpful picture of shade moving towards fitting with up arrow as the last step before switching on!) - nothing is just going to pop on and stay there. If you get eye level right up to the ceiling you can get the far side hooked under the fitting, then use a couple of fingers to pull the shade wire towards you and hook over the other fitting and it's done. No broken wires or deformed shades.Truly terrible instructions, but decent quality light fitting and looks good up. Be aware the seam of the shade (grey 40cm at least) is fairly visible with the light on,

I shopped around a lot before settling on this one and I’m very pleased with the result. The fixing of the bulb unit to the ceiling was straightforward but the fixing of the lampshade to the bulb unit is rather difficult, although I did intentionally bend mine a little to ensure it sat flush with the ceiling, otherwise there is a 5mm gap between the top of the shade and the ceiling, bending it made it flush but makes it more difficult to fit, once the clips have engaged it’s fine though. The opaque circle of white plastic at the base of the shade is thick enough to disperse the light and feels pretty well made, the fabric surround is also constructed well.

I was in two minds about these lights reading the reviews but they have turned out fabulous. I think they have changed the design to a solid metal plate that fixes to the ceiling with 4 screws and onto which you clip the shade. The shade part is very easy. The fixing of the back plate is a bit more of a fiddle but gets easier the more you do. We have 5 - 3 black, 2 grey. I am buying more black ones. The 50cm version has 4 bulb holders so you can choose the right bulbs to suit your decor. Highly recommend.

Easiest lights to fit ever!! I read the reviews and was very worried about clipping on the shade, 100% agree instructions are terrible, But I've added a photo I'm not sure if other people are trying to clip them on the outside they actually go on the inside and do just clip in, you do one side first then push up and the other goes in, it comes out just as easy, I hope this helps some people as they are a very clean looking flush light i would definitely buy them again and they are a fantastic price

Nice quality product, caused some difficulty aligning it to the clip on feature when installing but wasn't impossible. Neat wire housing allowing rewiring to be completed quickly and easily. Looks great.Unfortunately I should have searched for the bulbs the same time ordering it, because I couldn't find dimmable E14 bulbs that were bright enough for the duel purpose space I was trying to light. Brightest I could get was 4 W (40 W incandescent equivalent) so have had to replace fitting.

These are fantastic if you fit them right.They actually need to be flush to the ceiling.We have used these type of flush situated light and shades before so were already aware of how to fit them.These are much less expensive than what I previously have paid these were maybe a little more basic in packaging and materials but they are still excellent quality and I have actually purchased four.I would most definitely recommend these as a cheaper alternative that still does the job.

This light looks amazing, fitted this in next to no time without instructions, pity it doesn't come in ivory colour as I would have ordered 2 more, can't understand reviews about problems fitting this as it's so easy and no problem taking down to clean out dust etc.. delivery was a little longer than expected as it comes from The Netherlands... but definitely worth the wait.Great price as similar ones on line were double the price... lovely product

Arrived wet. That's the delivery companies fault. I dried it out and it's working fine now.Easy to install. Some people have no idea what they are talking about in the comments.No instructions are needed. Dont forcefully bend the light because you want it flush to ceiling, that isn't the design, buy a different light and dont give a bad review because your jerry rig didnt work out.Looks great up!
