Got this for grandson to go with Elmer book, I am now making a habit of gathering the toys with the books to add to the excitement for him & he just loves it. Immediately took it up to bed with him & has taken it home for a sleepover. It's a very well stuffed toy looks exactly as it does on the screen and if you love Elmer you'll love the toy. Also very good value in comparison to a lot of toys which go with stories (like the Gruffalo).

The item arrived and it was quite a bit smaller than expected but it's cute. I read that this is suitable from birth but I'm not so sure. Maybe 12 months old is better (this is actually a gift for a 12 month old) as there are hard discs in the bottom of each foot. The material is not exactly soft either. It's a stiff cotton like material but this might soften up after use/washing. Overall though I like it.

My two year old was absolutely delighted when I presented him with this, which was great, although Elmer now gets far more cuddles than I do!It is on the light side, not weighted like a bean bag, which makes it a bit bouncy and hard to catch. This makes it quite safe, though. It seems to be durably made. A good buy all round.

Bought with hard back Elmer book for new baby as I thought they would get a mountain of clothes for her so wanted something different. Toy was quite firm and wipe clean, well made and colourful. The sort of toy you would play with rather than cuddle. I want one myself, if I am honest. Well packaged and delivered quickly.

My 4 year old son is a great elmer fan. He has the book collection and really wanted a plush toy to cuddle with. When this arrived, he was absolutely delighted. It's snug enough for him to lug it around. The base of the elephant feet has some support and therefore it is able to stand upright. Good value for money.

I love the Elmer books and have bought many for children in recent years. The children love this little elephant who is different to his friends but still always has a happy time. What better to enhance these stories than a cuddly toy to hug whilst listening to the tales,the perfect combination.

I bought this along with the Elmer book as I remember him from my childhood and it has to be one of the best things that I have bought for my 8 month old as she loves him! I think it's the bright colours but where ever Eve is Elmer isn't far away. This is a must for any little one.

This toy elephant is very bright and colourful and therefore very attractive to young children. I have bought this one twice over the last year, so it has gone down very well. These were bought for two great-nieces, and when my great-nephew is born, he will have one as well.

Elma is an important part of the family now. He's durable/ been on many vacations, he has been spot washed and thrown around. He's still looking good. Fantastic way to learn colors - buy the original Elma book along with the soft toy. Hope this helps your buying decision?

Another great resource to go along with the story books. The children loved being able to hold the character whilst listening to the story. It is of nice material and the colours are bright and bold. If you have the books you must buy the soft toy and the snap cards.

My 3 year old was learning about Elmer in nursery and she loves this toy. The only problem is "there's no brown in it like the song"-her words. Excellent quality. She takes it to bed with her too. If you want something soft and cuddly buy something else though.

I brought this for my neice, it was't what I was expecting, it has a wirey tape of material inside of it, I was expecting bean bag or something soft. However she likes it, she likes all the colours and when she can talk it can be used to teach her colours.

Bought this for my almost 3 yr old daughter who recently started to enjoy the Elmer books, she was very pleased with it and her baby sister was very impressed to so all in all a good buy! Good quality, fast delivery and makes a lovely gift.

My two year old daughter is a big Elmer fan so I bought this for her as a surprise!It's is very well made and makes a charming addition to her bedroom. She loves it! I Also think it is a good visual aid for teaching toddlers colours.

The material is a bit stiff and scratching but ideal when bought with the books too as while telling the story the colours keep them locked in to the bedtime routine while the books are a good keep for as they grow.
