I was nervous about trying this, but it was straightforward & I'm pleased with the results. I'll update this review if I change my mind after a few days (used for first time this morning). I have curly hair past my shoulders, and some greys.Simple to use & smells much better than that acrid smell from the L'oreals I've always used. I suppose it requires a little bit of hippy diy but not too taxing. Mix the powder with warm water (I used 50g powder), slather it over your hair as per usual, put on a shower cap (provided). I wrapped a towel over the shower cap & left it for 3 hours. This is lockdown, so time at home is plentiful! I don't have a hair dryer so didn't try that. Smells like wheatgrass,or hay. Doesn't stain your skin or bathroom. Didn't flake off (I suspect the towel around it helped). Remember to save the gloves, since you'll probably get 2 applications from this. Bonus: the gloves are a decent size, not the tiddly ones I usually have to try & squeeze my hands into.Only pesky part was washing it out - it took a while, and I ended up doing it twice. I used a bit of conditioner the second time.My greys seem fine (prob 95% covered, I don't get total coverage from 'normal' dyes either) & my hair is becoming softer & thicker as the day progresses, somehow. Apparently the colour develops over the next 4-5 days, but I'm already pleased with the colour.

Package arrived earlier than expected. It came nicely packaged with gloves, brush and hair cap. The preparation is easy, all you have to do is just mix it with water. The downside of this product is that there were quite a lot of lumps in it. Although I tried to get rid of them, some still ended up in my hair annoyingly. The smell of the product is quite strong just as the usual henna and will probably linger in your hair for a little while, but it is nothing to be afraid of. I am especially pleased with the colour. I got a little bit afraid because as I was washing it the water coming out of my hair was green. It also stained my bathtub, but it turned out that it just takes a scrub with some soap to clean it completely. My hair is medium brown and after leaving the product in it for two hours my hair really has a dark mahogany colour. Something that is impossible with just pure henna. I have some light (almost blond) hair in the front and they turned out as light brown, so maybe I would recommend if you are naturally blond/light brown, you should let it stay in your hair for longer, or apply multiple times. Overall I would recommend this brand because it is quite difficult to find a pure herbal hair dye in so many shades. I definitely want to try more of their products in the future!

Radico Organic - caramel blonde.Colour works with your current hair colour; dark bits unchanged, brown bits go darker, blonde bits go golden, white bits will range from silvery to yellow to golden to red. The effect is like a proper lion's mane. Perfect for adventurous people who want hair with personality and fun, while looking natural.Organic ingredients work for me because there are no painful chemicals to hurt my scalp or hair. Easy to mix- add half a box of powder to hot water - thick like sauce - place all over head - leave for a couple of hours - wash off (do not shampoo at this moment). It lasts about a month or two, till roots show. It is best to use natural or organic shampoos in future, with this on your hair in order to prolong the colour, as chemical ones can strip colour. I do not even need Conditioner anymore.Easy.The blonde aspect means they have added the plant called Indigo, so there is no heavy red colour, it looks like normal light brown hair, or blonde in sunlight.Beautiful.I have tried many chemical free hair dyes and this is the easiest to use, with the best results on 60% white/grey hair to brown/black hair.Read full review...

I tried using this at first with wet hair but it didn't change the colour. The next time I tried it (mixed with a brown henna) I tried it on unwashed hair. It is virtually impossible to do on your own. It smells, mixed with hot water a bit like ancient dung according to my boyfriend who had the thankless task of painting it on my hair (very fine and very long) within 15 mins with my haranguing him to hurry up. Make sure you add enough water to make the mixture fairly runny or it can dry and thicken up and be even harder to apply. The effect is lovely, particularly in sunlight. Henna doesn't damage the cortex of your hair, in fact it conditions it. One word of warning however it takes a long, long time to wash out and four washes in, the water of my rinse is still yellow.

I usually have, at best, very average things to say about hair dye so it's refreshing to write a positive review. This dye not only provides a really natural colour, whilst keeping colour for a good length of time, but the packet provides really good value for money too. I have thick, medium length, hair and the packet lasts me around four dyes. When mixed with water the dye does smell of soggy grass cuttings, but I see this as a sign of its natural qualities. This smell also does not linger on hair once the dye is rinsed off. Requires very basic measuring skills. If you struggle with this aspect, take it as a sign that you're numeracy skills suck and work on that.

It’s a great healthy option for hair colour but here is the tips for getting best results :1. When you finished applying instead of using hairdryer i just wrapped wool scarf and that really works .2. Keep it at least over two hours ,,also very important after application properly massaging the substance into roots for a few minutes for benefit of healthy hair .I guess overall it’s very straightforward except wait that’s definitely the only negative point - hope this helps future buyers .

Have used this product before but a different colour , it was violet initially hair turned green but the colour developed to a nice light purple hues , hair colour more striking under the sun , decided to try burgundy , again after rinsing , hair turned yellow, it’s not quite burgundy even after a few hours perhaps the left over violet mix with burgundy and 90% grey hair produced honey brown colourBoth boxes did not come with the applicator brush which is annoying

Best wine red colour henna I've bought. The colour also lasts longer than others I've tried and notice that when i was my hair, the water is less red than when ive used other products which is great!Do feel that there could be more powder in the pack as I have medium-thin just below shoulder lengrh hair and I need about 1.5 -2 packs to do my hair. Will still give 5 stars though as the product itself is great!

I tried quite a few 'natural' colours, this one is much easier to apply than henna. Lasting power is okay, but if you have grey hair that grows semi fast you need to dye it again within 3 weeks anyway so even if it does wash out a bit it doesn't really matter. I would love it if they made an hair colour out if it so no need to mix it yourself as the application is a bit more fiddly and messy.

Great product makes my hair shine ! But messy but other than that it’s great ,I thought when I became allergic to ppd I wouldn’t be able to colour my hair again but I found this and used it ever since.i do leave it on up to 3 hours to cover grey hair , heat always helps develope the colour so I usually put the hair dryer on it once I’ve applied it and sometimes halfway through

I am enjoying using this product simply because it's natural. It colours my hair gently and leaves it feeling healthy and in good condition. Economical too. For my short hair I get three applications out of it. Good value for a good product. I will be re-supplying myself soon an never go back to televised commercial brands. Yes.

I am quite happy with this. I used to use a two step henna dyes, the first step to cover the greys and the second to apply the chosen colour. With this one you only need one step... I left it on for a couple of hours and I found it covered my greys quite well (and I have quite a lot!)I will buy it again

I have used this hair colouring for years. It gets easier to apply after a few goes!I use this shade to colour the sprinkling of grey. The colour gives golden highlights. It has taken several applications to get good coverage but I now only need to top up the colour every couple of months.

It works well. My hair is very silky after applying it. It covers the greys (I do not have many). You need to make sure you follow the instructions and not let the mixture dry in your hair, or it will not work.It did not include the small brush to apply the product.

So glad I have for nd this true organic product! Easy to use covers grey hair. Lasts for ages in my experience. Lots left over for further use. Will continue to use. Si much better than harsh chemical dyes.
