These pockets/wallets/whatever seem to be fairly solid and a good option when weighing up cost and quality. You could of course buy some extremely heavy duty pockets for around £1 each and they would, as to be expected, be "better", but considering 100 of the Elba Heavy Duty Quick-In Pockets can be purchased for around £12 delivered, meaning around 12p per pocket, these are a good option if you do not need extremely heavy duty pockets but want something better than the flimsy, crinkly pockets you will likely find in most shops.I would NOT recommend these pockets for;- Extremely heavy duty use, for example, storing of "dies" i.e. metal sheets.- Storage of large numbers of sheets per pocket.Other pockets are available for these purposes, namely the extremely heavy duty, circa £1 each pockets, and the expanding pockets, which are designed for holding a number of sheets per pocket. These Elba Heavy Duty pockets are a great step up from the flimsy pockets you commonly see. They cost approximately double but are very much worth it.Personally, I would not be using them to store more than one sheet in each pocket.Flimsy pockets are usually around 45 microns. These pockets have been mentioned as being 120 microns, which seems slightly off the mark. I am not measuring or weighing etc., but thickness is not their greatest asset, though they are much more durable than the flimsy pockets. These are what I believe to be the main strengths of these pockets;- Where flimsy pockets tend to "flop over" and crease, leaving unattractive crease marks across the pocket, these pockets "roll" when they "flop", leaving no sign of bending or creasing. You can hold the bottom of the pocket whilst holding it upright and it will just gently and smoothly roll over, without leaving any crease marks.- Sheets pretty much always move about in the flimsy pockets as they can be quite baggy. When placing sheets smaller than the pocket within the pocket, it is inevitable that the sheet will move within the pocket, possibly damaging the edges and also looking untidy. This is not the case with the Elba Heavy Duty pockets. When you put your sheet in, the fit is very close (which is why I recommend them for single sheets). I have used the pockets for sheets 1-2 inches smaller on each edge than A4, and these pockets hold the sheet almost "in suspension". I can position the smaller sheet right in the middle of the pocket, with an inch or two space all around it, and even when holding the pocket and putting no pressure on the sheet (i.e. my fingers are not holding the sheet, only the edge of the pocket) and shaking my hand up and down, the sheet does not move whatsoever. I have tried this with a single sheet and also a thick, twice folded sheet (i.e. four pages thick), and the pocket holds the sheet like it is in a vacuum. Taking the sheet out and putting another in does not lessen this either. Hopefully the pockets will maintain this "grip" for a long time.- Easily readable through the clear material.Bear in mind;- There is a small arrow in the top left hand corner, showing where to introduce your sheet into the pocket. There is also a small Elba logo in the bottom left hand corner, about an inch in from the edge. This may frustrate people who want an entirely empty viewing space. It would be good if it was not there, but the positives far outweigh the negatives. In summary;- Not extremely thick, but so much better than the flimsy pockets and much cheaper than extremely heavy duty pockets, so if your purpose is basically one or a few sheets per pocket, I would recommend these.- These pockets hold your sheet almost as if "in suspension" with their vacuum-like grip.- Smooth roll over, not a harsh "flop"/crease.- Very clear and easy to read through.- Small logos within the viewing surface which are undesirable.

I'll comment on the claims that are made in the description above:- Strong polypropylene pockets to help protect documentsYes, they offer good protection and also they do not "crumble" as easily as the 55 micron economy punched pockets I have been using recently. Interestingly they are so busy promoting the "quick in" feature that they have completely forgotten to provide the micron level for these pockets on Amazon, but I found it on another site, and it's 120 microns, so obviously good quality.- Save time and insert sheets quickly with the curved quick In openingSo this is the big selling point to go for these pockets rather than similar quality ones and I'm afraid I'm not convinced it's really that much faster to use.Of course if you spend the whole day filling pockets for presentations etc., there could be some time saving, but for my ordinary office use, I can't say that i see a big difference.Glass clear for perfect visibility of documentsYes, perfect quality. Very slippery as would be expected from "glass-clear" materials, but it looks good and if they are in a folder or otherwise kept together, it doesn't matter. However, if they are intended for handing out from a stack, you might want to consider whether this nice, glass-clear look is a bigger priority than potentially dropping all on the floor as they are really slippery...Multi-punched spineCorrect - there are the standard 11 holes of various sizes and again the spine is made from good strong materials, so when in a lever arch or other folder, they will not fall out easily.A4 sizeAll in all a very good quality product. I see the "quick-in" as a bit of a gimmick, and find it interesting that they have completely left out the micron level in the advertisement, but it's reasonably priced and definitely a product I would consider as one of a few for the office in the future.

I am delighted with these. I use an awful lot of punched pockets to organise lecture notes, presentation notes and general admin in my plethora of A4 ring binders.I always preferred the clear glass to the more bobbly textured ones as they are much easier to read through. Unfortunately some of them can have quite a short shelf life, being quite thin and prone to tearing at the punchings over time, as they are turned over the rings in reading use.Added to that, many of them have something which is theory should be useful - a different, colour coated spine inserted into the punching margin. And over time, this seems to begin to disintigrate, and I find my files and hands become coated with flecks of the spine material, breaking up and flaking out. These Elba clear glass are made of thicker polypopylene and do not have those coloured spine inserts. No flaky bits to work free and these are likely to last undamaged for longer, not rip at the ring.If this is typical of the quality of Elba products, I will be very willing to use other stationery items from this range. Vive la France! (where these are made) I love simple, good, functional design

I wasn't quite sure what to expect from these as all my previous purchases of pockets have been the ones with that textured surface. These are almost perfectly glass-clear, see-though, and glossy. Look closely and there are some 'micro-nobbles' on them, but if you put them alongside standard 'textured' pockets these are almost 100% glass-like. That's good, if that's what you want; but you should be aware that the high-gloss finish also means that any marks, creases (even dust) will show up more than on non-reflective pockets. At a claimed 120 microns you'd think these would feel thicker than they do, but they are pretty secure, whatever their 'real' micron score. Each pocket is made from one sheet of plastic, folded on the right and heat-sealed at the base and the inner (punched) seam. This inner seam is not reinforced and is a weak point: if I pull the pocket apart this seam splits, although so do other pockets to be honest. Under the normal strain of bulging paperwork, I don't think this is a serious worry. Overall 4 stars.

Definitely as good as any other punch pockets I have used.Always useful to have some these about. They are protective of any sheets of paper you want to keep. Then you can file them in a lever arch file or an extended folder.Use them for also for filing bank statements or receipts, anything on paper you want to keep.Sometimes these are not perfectly clear but these ones are completely see through. The downside being they are also super slippery. Mine have already been over the floor twice! They have a tiny blue arrow to show where the opening is. I think I could use the box they came in to dispense in one at a time manner. But I had not noticed this and opened the box only to watch all of them spill out.The plastic seems to be of a better quality than the last lot I bought and hopefully will last a long time.

I have used 'punched pockets' for decades but had never, previously, used these French-made ones. I am happy to report that they are of excellent quality, are easy to 'load' with pieces/items and have a very nice glossy sheen to them making them ideally suited to a 'presenter' or similar binder in my opinion.Obviously I have not yet given them years of use (like some others I own) but so far, so good in terms of quality - the holes don't rip or tear and the back seam (as I call it, where the holes are) does not separate from the pocket as, sadly, happens with some lesser quality brands. Our local office supply store has just recently closed so although they won't be able to tempt me with their 'special offers'any more I shall be looking out for more Elba products when I make my next purchase.

These are good quality and crystal clear. I use them to keep chord sheets in, which stops them getting crumpled up. The pockets are a decent thickness and you don't get the irritating crumpling when you insert a sheet. For applications where you are constantly putting sheets in and out of the file, like I do for chord sheets and practising songs these are absolutely ideal. The hold punch area is white and also strong. I am not sure the quick in feature is really all that faster, but more importantly for me is that they are clear and high quality. Recommended if that is what you want.

These are great. Strong, well made, and that bright, clear glass like transparency that shows off paperwork work in the best possible way, while protecting it safely.A tiny blue metallic arrow shows the end to access. The pockets come open really easily. The various punched holes along the side will fit any style of file.A pack of 100, in a cardboard box, holder, that can be used to dispense the pockets one at a time by folding back the front flap. Elba is a brand to look out for again.

These plastic pockets, unlike some cheap versions, are provided in a rigid storage box, and so shouldn't spill everywhere. The pockets are completely clear - including the hole-punched margin section - and have a smooth texture. Shiny, blue-collar arrows are included as an at-a-glance indicator of correct orientation. For me, a useful feature is that the sealed margin section starts slightly lower down than usual, with a tapered onset - giving a wider opening to insert documents.

As a teacher I go through loads of these sleeves. However, these Elba sleeves are a step up in quality. They are better made using slightly stronger/thicker plastic. They are also completely clear, see through unlike the regular ones that are a bit more frosted. Hopefully these will last longer than the regular ones that always rip at the punched holes after time. Not a big deal but it comes in different packaging than is pictured.

These are absolutely awesome quality, crystal clear and thicker than the usual bargain type poly pockets but not too thick. There's a little arrow in the corner which shows you where to insert the paper but I don't find it too intrusive. The price is much higher than other more flimsy brands but worth it for poly pockets that won't split - one of my major bugbears! Highly recommended.

Nice and clear, these are stronger than the flimsy pockets you can get at cheaper prices, and feel more robust, too. I'm not completely convinced by the 'quick-in' innovation - how long does it take to insert some papers into one of these?! If the presentation of your documents is important, it's worth spending a bit extra on these.

These are nice enough, a little thickers than the usual ones and feel more like plastic than tracing paper which is good. Items look good in them and they feel sturdy so sutable for longer term use. I'm not worried about holes 'pulling' ar tearing etc as the material goes all along the edges.

Perfectly good punch pockets, which seem well-made and have so far not split or (as was the case with one brand I have tried) simply fallen apart. They are clear (as opppsed to the slightly opaque ones that one normally finds), but I actually prefer this. Recommended.
